Syrian Army regains 1300 km2 and all security points along Jordanian border in Sweida

10 August 2017 ~ A military source announced on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Army established control over 1300 square kilometers and all security points located along the border with Jordan in the eastern countryside of Sweida, after eliminating the last gatherings of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists there.

The source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with the supporting forces, achieved victories against ISIS terrorists in al-Zalf dam area, and established control over 1300 square kilometers and a number of strategic heights, including the hills of al-Tabaqa, al-Riyahi, Assada , al-Ezami and Bir al-Sout and Abu Sharshouh crossing in the eastern countryside of Sweida.

The source added that the operations resulted in establishing control over all the security points located along the Jordan border for a length of more than 30 kilometers, after inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in personnel and weaponry.

The source noted that the army units have immediately combed the area and dismantled the IDEs and mines left behind by the terrorists.

Army and Armed Forces units, backed by Air Force, launched intensive strikes against gatherings and movements of ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor said that the army units clashed with ISIS terrorist groups in the surroundings of the airport and at the southern axis of the city, killing or injuring many of the terrorists and destroying their weapons.

The reporter noted that air force and artillery carried out intensive operations against sites and fortifications for ISIS terrorists in the areas of al-Mawared , al-Banorama, al-Thurdeh, Thurdeh junction , the surroundings of the Airport, al-Rishdieh and al-Hweiqeh neighborhoodsand the villages of al-Boughailieh , al-Tabani and al-Qasabi, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists in personnel . They also destroyed a site for them and a car equipped with a machinegun.

Syrian Army kills scores of Daesh mercenary-terrorists, destroys their vehicles and ammunition in different areas across the country

9 August 2017 ~ Syrian Army and armed Forces unit destroyed three cars equipped with machineguns and a radio-controlled reconnaissance drones for Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists on the direction of al- Dakeila village in eastern countryside of HAMA.

Meanwhile, Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed ammo depot in Akeirbat and vehicles for ISIS terrorists on the road between Akeirbat and al-Sikhnieh.

Homs

Army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, killed and injured more than 80 ISIS terrorists and destroyed the seized their vehicles and ammunition after foiling their attempt to infiltrate into a number of the army posts in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.

SANA’s reporter said that an army unit, in cooperation with the allied forces clashed with ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups who launched an attack by a number of the suicide bombers and 5 vehicles rigged with explosives from different axes towards army posts in the surroundings of Hmeimieh.

The reporter added that more than 80 ISIS terrorists were either killed or injured and a huge amount of their arms and ammunition was seized.

Earlier, the Syrian Air Force destroyed an ammunition cache, three prefabricated buildings, two bulldozers, and 6 cars belonging to ISIS terrorists, killing all terrorists inside them in the area of Ghurab Hadleh Mountain in the direction of Palmyra-Sharet al- Waer in al-Badyia towards the Iraqi borders.

Deir Ezzor

Army units destroyed gatherings and sites for ISIS terrorist organization in Deir Ezzor city and its surroundings.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor said that an army unit clashed with ISIS terrorist groups in al-Muwazafin neighborhood and the areas of al-Panorama, the graveyards and al-Tharda, killing a number of the terrorists and burning one of their sites.

The reporter added that army units destroyed two sites, one of them is the so-called “Islamic Police Center”, in al-Khasarat and al-Mattar al-Qadim neighborhoods, in conjunction with the destruction of sites for ISIS in al-Sinaa and al-Jbeila neighborhoods and the graveyards area.

SANA reporter added that the Syrian Air Force launched strikes against ISIS dens in al-Panorama area, al-Khasarat neighborhood and al-Bugheiliyeh village in the western countryside of the province.

Local sources from the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor said that the locals of al-Jalaa village clashed at dawn on Wednesday with ISIS terrorists, hours after a number of people of the city of al-Bukamal attacked an ISIS point in al-Sinaa area, killing a number of the terrorists.

The sources pointed out that the Takfiri organization executed the so-called “Abu Bakr al-Qahtani”, one of its most prominent leaders in the city of al-Mayadin, because of a dispute between him and the leaders and his attempt to escape.

The sources said that the organization arrested ten terrorists from the city of Mohassan who tried to flee the areas where ISIS spreads, including Ali Mohsen al-Freij, Khalid Mahmoud al-Mulla, Ali Nasser al-Fat’hi and Bilal al-Juweiser.


Syria Arab Army Command calls on residents of towns in Raqqa southern countryside to return to their homes

9 August 2017 ~ The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces called on the residents of the towns of Shenan, al-Sabkha and Jabli in the southern countryside of Raqqa to return to their homes on Thursday after the Syrian Arab Army have restored security and stability to those areas.

“The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces calls on the citizens of the towns of Shenan, Sabkha and Jabli in the southern countryside of Raqqa to return to their homes and farms as of 10/8/2017 after the restoration of security and stability to them,” the Command said in a statement on Wednesday.

Over the past few weeks, the army units have restored security and stability to a number of villages and towns in the southern countryside of Raqqa, retaking dozens of oil and gas wells and managing to liberate about 30 km from the southern bank of the Euphrates River in a new military achievement in terms of cutting off ISIS supply routes between Raqqa and Deir Ezzor in order to break the siege on thousands of civilians who are trapped in Deir Ezzor.


Syrian Army establishes control over a number of strategic hills in Sweida, kills scores of Daesh mercenary-terrorists  in Deir Ezzor

8 August 2017 ~ Syrian Army units, in cooperation with allied forces, established control over a number of the strategic hills spread over an area of up to 100 square kilometers in the southeastern countryside of Sweida.

SANA reporter covering the army’s operations in Sweida said that army units backed by allied forces continue their offensive launched last Friday against Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists in the southeastern countryside using various types of light and medium weapons.

He added that the operation has so far resulted in the liberation of about 100 square kilometers and establishing full control over Tal Assadi, Tal Jarin, Tal al-Rayahin and Bir al-Sabouni, after eliminating the last gatherings of ISIS in those areas.

The reporter noted that army units combed the area completely and dismantled the mines and IEDs and fixed their points in it and began to expand their operation in chasing the terrorists in the direction of Bir al-Sout.

Meanwhile, a field commander told SANA that army units, in cooperation with backup forces, carried out operations in the depth of al-Badia (desert) where they controlled strategic positions and hills in the northeast of Sweida and its southeast and cut the movement axes and the routes which supply terrorists with mercenaries and weapons from neighboring countries.

The commander pointed out that the army units have taken control over an area that extends between Tal al-Assadi to Beir al-Sout.

Another field commander confirmed the elimination of the last terrorists’ gatherings in Beir al-Saboubn, Tal Jarin, Tal Riahi and Tal al-Asadi, pointing out that the operations continue towards Beir al-Sout to protect the advanced military points towards the Jordanian border.

Deir Ezzor

Army units thwarted an attack launched by ISIS terrorists on the southern axes of the city of Deir Ezzor and inflicted heavy losses upon them.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor said that army units launched artillery strikes in parallel with the airstrikes launched by the Syrian Air Force on al-Panorama axes that witnessed an ISIS assault on a number of military points.

He added that the strikes targeted ISIS supply routes and movements in al-Panorama farms, Wadi al-Tharda and in the vicinity of the airport, resulting in the death of a large number of terrorists and injuring many others, while the rest fled away, in addition to the destruction of their equipment and vehicles.

The reporter confirmed that an army unit destroyed two sites for ISIS terrorists in Khasarat neighborhood.

Local sources said that a number of young people in the city of al-Mayadin burned one of the buses belonging to ISIS which was parked in front of the Electricity Company, while others attacked on Tuesday the headquarters of the so-called “Islamic Police” in the village of Hatlah near the vegetable market and killed the terrorist named “Abu Khaled al-Shami.”

The sources added that the terrorist organization has launched a random arrest campaign against youths in public places in the towns and villages of al-Ashara, Qouriyah, Darnaj, al-Husseiniya and Hatlah in the countryside of the province to take them to the combat fronts in order to compensate for the large losses of individuals as a result of the desertions among its ranks after the great advance of the army towards lifting the siege of the province.

Hama

Meanwhile, an army unit downed five booby-trapped drones for armed terrorist groups in the surroundings of Jouren in northwestern countryside of Hama


Syrian Army Air Force destroys Daesh terrorists gatherings and vehicles in different areas across the country

7 August 2017 ~ The Syrian Air Force carried out concentrated sorties against positions of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists in a number of villages and towns in the southern countryside of Raqqa province.

A military source told SANA that a number of the ISIS vehicles and positions were destroyed in sorties carried out in al-Bawlieh Mountain, Ma’adan, al-Khmaisieh, al-Jaber, and al-Numaisa to the south of Raqqa City.

Hama

The Syrian Air Force inflicted heavy losses upon the ISIS terrorists in airstrikes against their gatherings in the Salamiyeh eastern countryside of Hama central province.

The Army Air Force carried out airstrikes against gatherings and fortifications of the ISIS terrorists in al-Khashabiyieh, al-Fasda, Abu Hubailat, Jana al-Albawi, al-Dukailieh al-Shamalyia, and Salba in the eastern countryside.

Command centers and armored vehicles belonging to the ISIS terrorists were destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed in the airstrikes.

Homs

Army units regained control over Manoukh village in the eastern countryside of Homs province after eliminating the last gatherings of ISIS terrorists in it.

A military source said that army units, supported by the Syrian Air Force, carried out intensive operations against ISIS gatherings and fortifications on the southeastern outskirts of Jub al-Jarrah area, resulting in the restoration of Manoukh village, 15 km to the northeast of Jbab Hamad and the destruction of number of terrorists’ vehicles.

The source added that the army’s engineering units are currently dismantling the IEDs and landmines that were planted by terrorists to block the advance of the army before the killing of most of them, while the rest of them fled away.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Air Force destroyed positions and vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists in a number of villages and towns in Homs Countryside.

Earlier, the source said that the Air Force destroyed positions, vehicles and cars belonging to ISIS in the village of Hmeimeh in the farthest eastern countryside of Homs near the administrative border of Deir Ezzor.

The army’s airstrikes on the axes of Hmeimeh, 70 km to the west of al-Bukamal city in Deir Ezzor, come in the framework of a military offensive launched by the army units in cooperation with the allied forces about two months ago from the north-east of al-Tanf, during which the army managed to liberate large areas and pressure ISIS terrorists, leaving them in of chaos and panic for several weeks as the army approached the city of al-Bukamal, with dozens of ISIS leaders escaping, while many ISIS members getting killed as a result of infighting among their groups.

The airstrikes also targeted ISIS gatherings and positions in Um Sahrij, to the east of al-Tiba and Tweinan.

Deir Ezzor 

Warplanes of the Syrian Air Force carried out strikes on gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in the areas of Sariet Jneid, al-Jafra, the surroundings if the Maqaber (cemeteries) area, and Alloush hill at the vicinity of Deir Ezzor city, destroying terrorists’ positions and vehicles and killing many of them.

A military source told SANA’s reporter that army units clashed with ISIS terrorists in the cemeteries area and the surrounding of Regiment 137, the Airport, and al-Bogheilia, killing many terrorists including Mohammad Rakan al-Hassan.
Local sources told SANA that a number of terrorists including “Abu Mohammad al-Khurasani,” who was in charge of recruiting and training terrorists in Deir Ezzor, have fled.

The sources also said that the terrorist organization executed three people in al-Hussain village in the northern part of Deir Ezzor and they also stitched shut the mouths of three young men with wires in al-Salehiya village under the pretext that they were talking about the military losses of the terrorist organization.


Syrian Arab Army tightens noose on Daesh mercenary-terrorists in al-Sukhna in Homs

6 August 2017 ~ Syrian Arab Army units, backed by the Syrian Air Force, destroyed gatherings and dens of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists in Deir Ezzor city.

SANA’s reporter in Deir Ezzor said that army units engaged in clashes with ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups at the southern axis of the city, particularly in the areas of al-Maqaber (cemeteries), al-Panorama, the surroundings of the airport, and al-Bughailyia.

The reporter added that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the clashes and others were injured and their arms and equipment were destroyed.

The Syrian Air Force also destroyed dens and vehicles for ISIS in the areas of al-Panorama, the factories, Junaid battalion, Liwa al-Taamin, and the electricity company, and in the neighborhoods of al-Omal and al-Hamidyia and the villages of al-Tabani, al-Shmaita, and al-Bowaityia.

Meanwhile, civil sources from the western countryside of Deir Ezzor said that a number of the locals from al-Masrab village blew up a cache of ammunition belonging to the ISIS terrorists near the water reservoir.

Homs

Meanwhile, units of the army established control over 5 strategic points to the east of Manoukh village in Homs eastern countryside, killing 9 ISIS terrorists.

Earlier, the army units have tightened noose on ISIS terrorists in al-Sukhna city in the northeastern countryside of Tadmur (Palmyra) in the eastern countryside of Homs.

A military source told SANA that army units targeted with accurate strikes the remaining positions of the terrorists, who have fled deep into al-Badia (desert).

The source added that the morale of the terrorist has deteriorated after most of their leaders were killed and their weapons and equipment were destroyed.
