Witnesses of the alleged chemical attack in Douma, including 11-year-old Hassan Diab and hospital staff, told reporters at The Hague that the White Helmets video used as a pretext for a US-led strike on Syria was, in fact, staged.
“We were at the basement and we heard people shouting that we needed to go to a hospital. We went through a tunnel. At the hospital they started pouring cold water on me,” the boy told the press conference, gathered by Russia’s mission at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague.
Hassan was among the “victims” seen being washed by water hoses in a video released by the controversial White Helmets group on April 7. The boy and his family later spoke to the media and revealed that Hassan was hurried to the scene by men who claimed that a chemical attack had taken place. They started pouring cold water on the boy and others, filming the frightened children.
“There were people unknown to us who were filming the emergency care, they were filming the chaos taking place inside, and were filming people being doused with water. The instruments they used to douse them with water were originally used to clean the floors actually,” Ahmad Kashoi, an administrator of the emergency ward, recalled. “That happened for about an hour, we provided help to them and sent them home. No one has died. No one suffered from chemical exposure.”… … …

The U.S. is furious over the collapse of terrorists in the Syrian capital’s subrub of Eastern Ghouta.
U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley just threatened that the US will strike Syrian government forces if they don’t start their operation against terrorists in the area.
“We also warn any nation that is determined to impose its will through chemical attacks and inhuman suffering, most especially the outlaw Syrian regime, the United States remains prepared to act if we must,” Haley said.
The comment was made after the US diplomat said that the previous UN ceasefire resolution on Syria had “failed” accusing the Syrian government, Russia and Iran of this.
Meanwhile, Russian ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia accused militants in Eastern Ghouta of using chlorine gas.

Russia’s envoy to the UN Vassily Nebenzia has accused militant groups in Eastern Ghouta of using chlorine gas, while stressing that the Syrian government has every right to eradicate the “terrorism hotbed” near its capital.

The Syrian Army troops carried out mop-up operations in Eastern Ghouta and found a workshop used by the terrorists for making chemical weapons, a Russian media outlet reported on Monday.
The Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted Syrian Army Colonel Feras Ibrahim as saying that the army men seized a workshop that was used by the terrorists to build chemical weapons near the small town of Aftaris.

In the first few days of their work in Deir Ezzor, the Russian sappers managed to disable more than 1,500 IEDs, inspected 8 kilometers of roads, 8 buildings and about 3 hectares of land in the area.
Russian sappers along with their counterparts from the Syrian Arab Army started the demining of public facilities in Deir Ezzor city, east of Syria. Most of the city was liberated and the siege by ISIS was lifted by the SAA and allies with assistance from the Russian forces.
More than 15 square kilometers, 150 million square meters, will be scanned and de-mined in the city. ISIS terrorists with their US sponsors were busy not only making life near impossible to the besieged civilians in the city but also to make the city impossible to live in long after they leave.

The chairman of the Supreme Security Council of Iran, Ali Shamkhani, said that the airstrikes of the US-led coalition in Syrian Raqqa reduce security in the region and strengthen terrorism.
On Saturday, the Syrian news agency SANA reported with reference to the deputy head of the local Red Crescent branch that an international coalition led by the United States carried out an airstrike using phosphorous bombs on a hospital in Raqqa.
At a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis in Tehran, Shamkhani accused Washington of violating human rights and stressed that the coalition operates in the country without the consent of the Syrian government or the UN mandate.

The U.S.-led coalition has allegedly struck a hospital in Syria’s Raqqa with phosphorus bombs, Sana news agency reported citing the deputy head of the local brach of the Red Crescent.
Deputy Director of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent “SARC” Branch in Raqqa Dina al-Asa’ad said as cited by Sana that the shelling of the National Hospital in Raqqa by the coalition with phosphorus bombs occured on Thursday night.
“The hospital was also shelled with more than 20 shells which targeted the electricity generators, the ambulances and a number of departments inside the hospital,” Sana reported citing al-Asa’ad.
According to the Red Crescent representative, the bombed Raqqa hospital provided services for over 100 people, while Daesh terrorist group has its own hospitals and private medical centers.
Al-Asa’ad emphazided that there were no terrorists in the Raqqa hospital targeted by the US-led coalition………………………..

“U.S. Trying to Destroy Syria’s Critical Infrastructure”: A top Russian general claims that the U.S. is trying to “completely destroy critical infrastructure in Syria and complicate post-war reconstruction as much as possible”
On April 7, from 3.42 to 3.56 (MSK), two destroyers of the US Navy (USS Ross and USS Porter) made a massive strike with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles from the area near Crete Island (Mediterranean Sea) against the Syrian Shayrat Air Base (Homs province).
According to the objective monitoring data, 23 missiles reached the Syrian Air Base. As a result, an equipment depot, a training building, a mess, six MiG-23 aircraft in repairing hangars as well as a radar station were destroyed. The runway, taxiways and aircraft of the Syrian Air Force at parking places were not damaged.
According to the information received from the Air Base Command, two Syrian servicemen are missing, 4 were killed and 6 got burning wounds during firefighting. Therefore, the combat effectiveness of the American massive missile strike on the Syrian Air Base is extremely low.
These actions of the American party are considered as a serious violation of the Memorandum on prevention of incidents and providing security during operations in the air space of Syria signed in 2015.
All the accusations against Damascus that it had violated the Chemical Weapons Convention of 2013 given by the USA as reasons for the strike are groundless. The Russian Defence Ministry has repeatedly explained that the Syrian troops had not used chemical weapons. The Russian military department is looking forward to receiving explanations from the USA concerning the existence of irrefutable proof that the Syrian army had used chemical weapons in Khan Sheikhoun.
It is to be stressed that in the years 2013-2016 the Syrian government undertook all measures to eliminate chemical weapons, its delivery systems, production facilities. All chemical weapons stocks have been eliminated. The components for their production have been transported from the Syrian Arab Republic to the enterprises of the United States, Finland, Great Britain, and Germany where they have been destroyed.

Footage emerged on Tuesday of two Russian airplanes being loaded with humanitarian aid that will be delivered from Yerevan to Syria. ~ On the instructions of Armenian President Serj Sargsyan, approximately 40 tonnes of food, clothing and other essentials are to be transported to those affected by the conflict in Syria. ~ Russian transport was used as they have the necessary infrastructure to both deliver and issue humanitarian assistance. ~ It is the second time that Armenia has sent aid to Syria following a delivery in autumn 2016.

Heavy fighting continued between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and jihadist-mercenaries in Harasta, Eastern Ghouta Region outside Damascus. After repelling an offensive launched by terrorist gangs last week, the SAA took measures to carry out several attacks to expand its control over the region.
In an interview with Sputnik Arabic, field commander of the Syrian Arab Army in Deir ez-Zor Brigade General Issam Zaheralden confirmed that two senior Daesh commanders, including Abu Muhammed al-Adnani who was in charge of the group’s drone attacks, were killed in an airstrike near the city of Deir ez-Zor.
Brigade General Issam Zaheralden said that civilians lost access to the airport, their only source of food, medicine and fuel, due to the latest terrorist attack on the city, prompting the Syrian Arab Army to launch an offensive along the 3-kilometer-long (1.8-mile-long) frontline.
As part of this campaign, the Syrian Arab Air Force conducted airstrikes near an area known as hill 14, killing 15 terrorists, Brigade General Issam Zaheralden detailed, adding that Abu Muhammed al-Adnani and Abu Walid al-Tarablusi were among them………………

On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army advanced in the area of western Deir ez-Zor, aiming to knock out mercenary-terrorists of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL). Syrian troops succeeded to capture a factory and were able to liberate the local airport from the militants. However, some of the roads are still infested by armed criminals, whose hours are counted.
Syrian Army and Syrian Armed Forces units continued targeting Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists in several areas in Damascus Countryside, Deir Ezzor, and Homs provinces, destroying a number of their vehicles and inflicting losses upon them.
Damascus Countryside ~ An army unit carried out concentrated strikes against movements and infiltration points of ISIS terrorists to the east of al-Sein airport in northeastern Damascus Countryside.
A military source said that the army unit killed a number of ISIS terrorists in the strikes and destroyed a tank and a vehicle equipped with a machinegun used by the terrorists.
Deir Ezzor ~ Army units, in cooperation with supporting forces and with aerial support, targeted ISIS gatherings and positions in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor city.
Local reporters in Deir Ezzor said that any army unit used a guided missile to destroy a machinegun-equipped vehicle for ISIS in the surroundings of the supplying brigade south of the city.
He added that the Syrian Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes on ISIS positions in the surroundings of the graveyards area, Jenaid battalion, and the supplying brigade south of the city, which inflicted losses in personnel and equipment upon the terrorists.
Homs ~ A military source said that army units established full control over a large area about 15 km long and 25km wide which includes Fidda well, Fidda farm, and al-Hayr al-Gharbi castle to the south of T4 Airport 25 km in the countryside of Homs province, inflicting heavy loses in personnel and equipment upon ISIS terrorists.

Russia has received coordinates of Daesh targets in Al-Bab, Aleppo Province, from the US via the ‘direct line,’ the Russian Defense Minsitry said Monday.
The United States has provided coordinates of the terrorists’ targets in the city of Al-Bab in Aleppo province for Russian airstrikes. After the reconaissance check, Russia and two coalition jets have conducted joint airstrikes on the Daesh targets in the region.
“On January 22, the Russian command center at the Hmeymim airbase has received coordinates of Daesh targets in Al-Bab, Aleppo province, via the ‘direct line’ from the US-led coalition headquarters. After further data verification with the assistance of unmanned aircraft and space reconaissance, the Russian Aerospace Forces and two jets of the international coalition have conducted airstrikes on the terrorists’ targets,” the statement said.
