For having the courage to come forward and expose the drone program for the indiscriminate murder that it is, 4 vets are under attack from the government they once served.
The U.S. Government failed to deter them through threats of criminal prosecution, and clumsy attempts to intimidate their families.
Now four former Air Force drone operators-turned-whistleblowers have had their credit cards and bank accounts frozen, according to human rights attorney Jesselyn Radack.
Michael Haas, Brandon Bryant, Cian Westmoreland and Stephen Lewis, who served as drone operators in the US Air Force, have gone public with detailed accounts of the widespread corruption and institutionalized indifference to civilian casualties that characterize the program.
Some of those disclosures were made in the recent documentary Drone; additional details have been provided in an open letter from the whistleblowers to President Obama, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, and CIA Director John Brennan.
Elsewhere the former drone operators have described how their colleagues dismissed children as “fun-sized terrorists” and compared killing them to “cutting the grass before it grows too long.”

The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) are carrying out a secret drone missile assassination program in Syria, the Washington Post reported late Tuesday.
The existence of the so-called targeted killing program has came to light in the wake of last month’s assassination of a British citizen identified as 21-year-old Junaid Hussein, a hacker who is described as a cyber expert for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Hussein is alleged to have had some connection to one of the two armed men who were shot and killed outside a “Draw Mohammed” contest staged by right-wing anti-Muslim groups in Texas last May.

Iraqi volunteer forces announced on Sunday that they have shot down a drone that was spying on the Arab country’s security forces in the city of Fallujah, Western Iraq.
Iraq’s popular forces reported that they have brought down a hostile surveillance aircraft over the Southeastern Fallujah in Anbar Province.
They said that the wreckage of the ISIL’s spy drone carried ‘Israel-Made’ labels.

Syrian air defense forces shot down a Turkish spy drone after it violated the Arab country’s airspace and flew over parts of the Northwestern province of Idlib.
Turkey’s unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) violated Syria’s airspace on Thursday to carry out spy mission before being targeted over the town of Tale Khattab, situated about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) to East of the city of Jisr al-Shughour, near the border with Turkey.

Meanwhile the Syrian Al-Watan daily newspaper reported that the downed drone belonged to Turkey and was flying above Syrian territory with the aim of gathering information on the movement of Syrian armed forces in order to later pass it on to the mercenary gangs of terrorists operating on the Syrian border with Turkey.

Just a quick note ~ Any human being, with a little logical common sense, understands that any country like Syria, in war against gangs of criminals coming from all over the world, and also equipped with drones (“US shoots down DAESH-ISIS-operated drone for the first time”), would do the same thing: shoot down an unidentified aircraft that was around the skies where there is a presidential residence.
Why the US should assign to themselves, arrogantly, the right to violate any land, country, area not of their competence?
The American global dictatorial regime must understand that with certain nations and people, can get hurt.
The slaughter of a US reconnaissance drone, by the Syrian Armed Forces above Latakia, just shown that there are red lines for Damascus that Washington has no interest in cross.
According to Al Ahed News, Syria certainly has allowed the US planes to bomb DAESH terrorist gangs on its sky, but it does not mean that the Americans can go beyond the limits, crossing the Rubicon.
It is a question of a warning to the USA regime, which states: Syria is ready to face any eventual attack.

At about 1740 GMT, US military controllers “lost contact with a US MQ-1 Predator unarmed remotely piloted aircraft operating over northwest Syria,” a US defense official said in an email Tuesday. “At this time, we have no information to corroborate press reports that the aircraft was shot down. We are looking into the incident and will provide more details when available.”
“We, of course, reiterate our warning to the Assad regime not to interfere with US aerial assets over Syria,” she added.
“The plane was American-made, was brought down coming from the sea, and the Syrian air defense was the one that brought it down,” the Syrian military source told Reuters.
“As soon as it entered Syrian air space, we considered it to be gathering security and military information on Syria’s territory,” the source in Damascus said. “The aircraft entered areas where Daesh (ISIS) is not present.”
“Any action of any kind without the consent of the Syrian government would be an attack on Syria,” said at the time the national reconciliation minister, Ali Haidar.
