Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said the nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group would allow Iran to play a more important role in fighting terrorism on the regional and international levels.

“We are so relieved at the signing of this deal as it is a fundamental point for the future of the region and the world,” said Shaaban in an interview with the BBC Arabic TV channel.

Iran and the world powers signed a long waited sum-up agreement and issued a statement after marathon talks in Vienna.

The agreement will be approved by the UN Security Council in a resolution that will call all its previous five sanctions resolution against Iran null and void and will take Iran off Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said: “certain parties to the nuclear talks to avoid claims that the agreement prevents Iran from developing nuclear bombs, because every one in the world knows that our Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) has placed a religious ban on the development, use or acquisition of military nuclear technology and Iran has never been after atomic bombs”.

Based on the agreement, which has been concluded with due regard for Iran’s red lines, the world powers recognize Iran’s civilian nuclear program, including the country’s right to the complete nuclear cycle.

On Friday, presidential aspirant Hillary Clinton addressed a hand-picked audience at a Dartmouth College campaign event. She lied calling Iran an “existential threat to Israel… I hope we are able to get a deal next week that puts a lid on (its) nuclear weapons program.”

An American journalist says a nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 countries is unlikely due to the ongoing attempts by the US Senate to sabotage the nuclear talks.

“The State Department which has a lot of Israel lobby influence, with regard to AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the neo-conservatives… they want war with Iran and they want to sabotage those talks in any way that they can,” he noted.

Morris said the demands “with regard to inspection of the military sites when Iran is a signer of the NPT, nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty — when Israel… with 200 to 400 nukes is not, and won’t allow even the UN to go in and take a look at their nuclear facility at Dimona — it’s a blatant double standard that the US is pushing here and I think it’s a very concerning situation that even though Secretary [of State John] Kerry has said that we would like a deal but — paraphrasing of course — we don’t have to have one necessarily”.

Iran has demanded that Israel give up its “nuclear weapons”, as it spoke on behalf of the 120-nation Non-Aligned Movement. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said the bloc also wants a nuclear free-zone in the Middle East.

Mohammad Javad Zarif was speaking at the United Nations for the non-aligned group of countries. Israel has never admitted or denied the widespread assumption it has nuclear weapons. However, Zarif says Israel’s assumed nuclear arsenal was a threat to regional security.

Zarif added that the non-aligned bloc are looking to create a nuclear free-zone in the Middle East “as a matter of high priority,” which will only be possible, if Israel abandons its nuclear stockpile.

During the conference, Tehran also demanded that countries who possessed nuclear weapons should not seek to modernize their weapons stockpiles.

Iran’s foreign minister says the use of nuclear weapons or even the threat of use of such weapons is a crime against humanity.

Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks while addressing the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in New York on Monday.

“We firmly believe that any use or threat of use of nuclear weapons would be a crime against humanity and a violation of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, in particular, international humanitarian law,” he said.

It is quite obvious that Russia cannot substitute the West, and in particular European countries, with someone else. It is impossible for historical and cultural reasons, the abundance of industrial relations, geographical proximity and so on.

Moscow can however substantially weaken such dependency through the strengthening of political, military, financial and economic relations with other countries which are friendlier and less susceptible to pressure from Washington. Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) holds a special place amongst countries friendly to the Russian government, and strategic dialogue is being actively developed with it.

It should be mentioned that the visit to Moscow at the end of January 2015 by the special representative, the foreign policy adviser of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Akbar Velayati, was highly valuable to the development of Russian-Iranian relations.

Cooperation on regional security is not of lesser interest, especially in view of prolongation and intensification of crises in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen. Positions of Moscow and Tehran coincide on the majority of aspects. They are particularly interested in the restriction of American, Saudi Arabian and to some extent Turkish activities.

This allows to raise the matter of Moscow and Tehran creating new security systems in the Near and Middle East, Central Asia and South Caucasus. The distinguishing factor is that the said systems of regional security will be founded on a non-bloc basis and consideration of the interests involved in this process states.

We petition the Obama Administration to:

File charges against the 47 U.S. Senators in violation of The Logan Act in attempting to undermine a nuclear agreement.

On March 9th, 2015, forty-seven United States Senators committed a treasonous offense when they decided to violate the Logan Act, a 1799 law which forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

At a time when the United States government is attempting to reach a potential nuclear agreement with the Iranian government, 47 Senators saw fit to instead issue a condescending letter to the Iranian government stating that any agreement brokered by our President would not be upheld once the president leaves office.

This is a clear violation of federal law. In attempting to undermine our own nation, these 47 senators have committed treason.

In a move never before done in the United States, 47 Senators (including 3 who may run for the presidency in 2016), signed an open letter to Iran threatening their leadership on any nuclear deal being brokered by the United States along with 5 other countries including Russia.

The letter came on the heels of Benjamin Netanyahus visit to Washington where much of Washington boycotted his visit and we absent from his speech including the president and the vice president. Bibi, although getting the applause from the peanut gallery as he does, spoke of nothing more than WHY ANY deal with Iran was a bad idea. The same rhetoric he has said since 1995.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Americans have signed a petition to the White House demanding “treason” charges against the signatories of the letter.

The petition has collected over 270,000 people since Monday, by far exceeding the 100,000 signatures required for the White House to respond.

According to the petition, the 47 senators “committed a treasonous offense when they decided to violate the Logan Act, a 1799 law which forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.”

Tehran has dismissed the letter as a publicity stunt that has no legal value.

In the 1950s, Shimon Peres made a secret deal with the French to buy a nuclear reactor like theirs. While the Dimona facility was going up, Intelligence reports reached Washington DC that Israel was building an atom bomb. Israel made claims that Dimona was for “peaceful purposes only.” Ben Gurion was summoned to Washington. President Kennedy feared an arms race in the Middle East, and demanded inspections.

In 1961, when inspectors were finally allowed to visit the facility, they were tricked. They were shown a “fake” control room on the ground floor, but were NOT shown the 6 floors beneath it, nor were they even aware of them. This is where the plutonium was being made. Israel was very proud they had FOOLED the Americans. After Kennedy’s assassination, the pressure was off Israel. America’s next president, Lyndon Johnson turned a blind eye to Israeli action.

In 2001, an Israeli Arab Issam Makhoul, broke the taboo in parliament. He accused the Israeli government of “turning a small country into a poisonous nuclear waste bin. The entire world knows that Israel is a vast nuclear, biological… and chemical warehouse that is used as an anchor… for the nuclear arms race in the middle east.” He outraged his colleagues, and was not allowed to finish his speech, but he had made his point.

“Why are the Americans looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? I can tell them where there are weapons of mass destruction… including nuclear weapons. They are in Dimona, in Haifa Bay in the Eilabun mountain… and in the area of Sakneen, Yolfhata. Let them send their inspectors to me… and I will lead them by the hand and show them,” Issam says.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made a highly unusual public appearance Thursday — taking the witness stand for the prosecution in a criminal case against a former CIA officer on trial for leaking details of a top-secret spy program.

Rice, who once traveled the globe as America’s top diplomat, found herself describing another type of diplomacy to a federal court jury: the Bush administration’s effort in 2003 to kill a New York Times story that threatened to reveal a CIA effort to undermine Iran’s nuclear program by secretly providing Tehran with flawed plans for an atomic weapon.

Rice told jurors that she was acting on the direct orders of President George W. Bush when she asked the Times not to go forward with the article, written by veteran national security correspondent James Risen.
