The Syrian Army troops continued their night operation against terrorists in Eastern Ghouta and seized full control over the strategic settlement of Hamouriyeh in the Southern part of Eastern Ghouta, field sources said on Friday.

The sources said that the army men managed to impose full control over Hamouriyeh after heavy fighting with terrorists after hours of a daily-based ceasefire ended on Thursday, adding that the fall of Hamouriyeh will enable the army to advance towards Saqba, Arbin and Hazeh regions.

Also, the army gained fire control over terrorists’ supply lines in the depth of Eastern Ghouta after Hamouriyeh came under their control.

Thousands of civilians evacuated as families, injured leave Eastern Ghouta during ceasefire

We have a significant development from the Syrian enclave of Eastern Ghouta. Eleven thousand civilians are said to have escaped the rebel-controlled area via a humanitarian corridor established by Russia and Syria.
While some of them go by car, most still travel over this long distance on foot. Entire families are seen leaving the area, with the people often carrying their children. Some are also seen carrying stretchers with injured or sick relatives.
The people who managed to flee the areas controlled by the mercenary-terrorist gangs said that terrorists continue to use civilians as human shields and commit various atrocities against the locals, preventing them from leaving. 
“The terrorists did not let us leave. They hid behind our backs,” a young man who came from the militant-held territory told RT. He went on to say that “the situation there [in the areas controlled by the armed groups] is dire,” adding that the locals are being “exploited and starved” by the militants.
The extremists do not give food to the locals, supplying only those who help them, the man said, adding that their own warehouses are “full of foodstuff.” An old man, who also left eastern Ghouta through the humanitarian corridor on Thursday, said that there are no locals among the militants that control the region. He also said that they kill every local who dares to “say something against them.”
Earlier, evacuees also provided accounts of how militants controlling Eastern Ghouta drove up food prices and imposed harsh punishments for even the slightest transgressions.

Syrian War Report: foreign-backed mercenary-terrorists’ defense collapsed in Eastern Ghouta

[Excerpts from SouthFront, 12/3/2018] ~ Last weekend a defense of militant groups operating in Eastern Ghouta collapsed under pressure of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies and the militant-held pocket was cut off into two separate parts. ~ Government forces liberated the town of Madiera, almost isolated the neighborhood of Harasta, captured farms near Jisrin and attacked Atfris. ~ The area of Douma is controlled by Jaish al-Islam with help of some units of Ahrar al-Sham, while the southern pocket is jointly controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), Faylaq al-Rahman and Ahrar al-Sham. ~ On the same day, some pro-militant sources and mainstream media outlets released reports about a new chemical attack allegedly conducted by the Syrian government. The chlorine gas attack allegedly hit people in the neighborhood of Irbin. No evidence confirming these claims were provided. ~ It’s interesting to note these media reports came just few hours following the collapse of the militants’ defense in Madiera. ~ 

On March 12, the SAA continued its advance aiming to isolate Harasta from Douma. According to pro-government sources, SAA units already achieved this goal. However, they still have to secure the recent gains.

Reports are circulating that US and Israeli-backed militant groups are preparing for an attack against the SAA in the city of Daraa in southern Syria. The alleged attack would exploit the SAA involvement in Eastern Ghouta operation and aimed at indirectly assisting militants there.

Army units on Tuesday eliminated last gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and the groups affiliated to it in the town of al-Muhamadyia in the Ghouta and continued to hunt down their remnants in the surrounding farms, according to SANA’s delegate to Ghouta.

The Tiger Forces, the Syrian Army, the Republican Guard and their allies have recently liberated a large area in the region from terrorist gangs and now are developing momentum further there. The current goal of the advance is to cut off all key militant supply routes and to besiege their strongholds in urban areas. 

A humanitarian aid convoy has entered to the civilians besieged by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and other armed groups in the Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside under the supervision of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).

A source at SARC organization said that the convoy offered by the United Nations, the SARC and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) included 46 trucks loaded with food materials and relief aid enough for 27,500 people, in addition to medical supplies for up to 70,000 people… … …

On March 2, spokesman for the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria Major General Vladimir Zolotukhin said that local activists in the Eastern Ghouta pocket are forming small armed groups to fight militants who are forbidding them from leaving the area.

“There is information that some civic activists are forming small armed groups, planning to break the militants’ blockade and reach areas controlled by the government,” Maj. Gen. Zolotukhin said, according to TASS.

The spokesman for the Russian Center for Reconciliation also announced that two children, a boy and a girl, had been safely evacuated from the Eastern Ghouta pocket on March 2.

Terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other affiliated terrorist organizations continued targeting with shells the safe corridor set up for the evacuation of civilians from Ghouta at al-Wafideeen Camp in Damascus Countryside.

SANA’s reporter said that the terrorist groups on Tuesday afternoon targeted with several shells the safe corridor to prevent civilians from leaving and to continue using them as human shields.

Earlier in the morning, the terrorist groups fired five shells at the surroundings of the safe corridor to scare civilians so that they would not approach it.

The reporter added that the authorities, in cooperation with army units, have finished all the logistic preparations for receiving the civilians who are willing to leave Ghouta, indicating that this came after announcing the start of a truce from 09:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.

At 12:00 local time a humanitarian pause entered into force in the militant-held part of the Eastern Ghouta region, near Damascus on February 27.

However, according to Russian General Viktor Pankov, a chief of the group controlling the de-escalation zone in the area, civilians cannot leave Eastern Ghouta amid mortar shellings of the humanitarian corridor near Vafidin.

“At 9 am on February 27, a humanitarian corridor was opened for the release of civilians from the zone of de-escalation. Currently, militants launched intense shelling and not a single civilian has come out,” Pankov told media.

Earlier, the Syrian state-run news agency SANA reported that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) had shelled the humanitarian corridor.

On February 26, the Russian Defense Ministry said that a daily humanitarian pause from 09:00 to 14:00 (local time) will start in the East Ghouta region near Damascus on February 27.

The armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta targeted al-Sheikh Raslan area in Bab Touma neighborhood with a mortar shell, injuring a civilian, while another shell landed in Bab al-Salam area, causing only material damage.

The source added that an attack with a rocket shell by the armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta caused massive material damage to the ICU at the Medical Surgery Hospital in Baghdad Street in Damascus, damaging medical equipment in the hospital, cars parked in the area, and surrounding houses.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the root of the problems in the Eastern Ghouta is the presence of Jabhat al-Nusra and groups affiliated to it which target the capital Damascus with shells, use civilians as human shields, and claim that humanitarian conditions are bad there.

The Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the head of the Security Council on the attacks carried out by armed terrorist groups on Damascus and its countryside, killing and injuring dozens of innocent civilians, affirming that terrorist officials and others who provide cover for these terrorists are complicit in these crimes.

The Ministry said that this grave escalation by the terrorists, who fired more than 45 shells at Damascus in a few hours claimed the lives of six civilians and injured 29 more as of the date of writing these letters, is a continuation of the crimes committed on daily basis by these terrorists against the citizens in Damascus, as they have fired over 1,500 shells during the past seven weeks, killing and injuring hundreds, most of them women and children.

Important gains were made against ISIL in Deir Ezzur in the past couple of weeks, making it clear that the Real War on Terror by the allied forces of Iran, Syria, Russia and Hezbollah is indeed nearing absolute victory.

Hezbollah has declared victory in the war along the Lebanese border already, while Iran and Russia say Syria is well on its way to defeating ISIL outright.

Per usual, the news hasn’t gone so well in Washington.

The regime-change cabal says “the claims of progress may be getting ahead of themselves,” with “fakestream” media claiming the allied forces are yet to clear the country of terrorists. This claim appears demonstrably false, as all credible maps of territory show the Syrian government is indeed well ahead of that:

– It is undeniable that ISIL and other foreign-backed terrorist groups have lost a lot of territory in recent months, and a lot of that territory has fallen to the government forces in both Iraq and Syria. The terrorists might still have some defenses building around certain areas of their remaining territory, but that does in no way mean they can make further pushes by the allied forces more difficult.

– As reported by Western media outlets, the overseas terrorists are returning home with all sorts of new combat skills and international contacts. US officials say their intention is no one should survive to return home. That’s never a realistic goal, and we’re seeing ISIL defectors by the hundreds leaving combat zones, with large numbers flocking to the Idlib province. Many have already crossed the border into Turkey. They are effectively out of the warzone, heading towards Europe and beyond.

– It is clear who these people who crossed are, and what countries they originated in. Now that they’re out of Syria, it’s not likely to be that difficult for them to navigate their way back to Europe, and we already know what they will do to their patrons in the future.

– The bigger picture behind Official Washington’s hysteria over the Syrian victory is the image of a decaying but dangerous American hegemon resisting the start of a new multipolar order. Iran and Russia have been chafing for years under a new world order in which one nation gets to serve as judge, jury, and high executioner. This, of course, is the United States. If the US says it will continue to occupy post-ISIL Syria militarily, then, it will see to it that Syria suffers accordingly… … …

Terrorists from the FSA mercenary-gangs said that their U.S. pupetters are pushing for retreat from southeast Syria.

Mercenary-terrorists of the so called gangs “Usoud al-Sharqiya” and “Martyr Ahmad Abdo”, both part of the “Free Syrian Army” deserters, said they were told to end fighting in the area by their backers of the “U.S. Central Intelligence Agency”, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, some of the neighboring states that support them. The news was also spread by the Reuters agency.

The majority of these gang members merged into “Jaysh al-Islam” (also known as Liwa al-Islam, Brigade of Islam, a terroristic coalition of Islamist and Salafist units who work alongside al-Nusra Front, al-Qaeda in Syria).

So, their Western and Arab backers asked them to pull out of the area and retreat into Jordan.

“There is an official request for us to leave the area”, said Badr al Din al Salamah, an openly declared mercenary commander in the Usoud al Sharqiya terrorist gang, a recipient of the military aid from the U.S.-backed alliance.

The conclusion is that they have received the order (by CIA and allied agencies) to end fighting in the area and retreat into Jordan: so Jordan is becoming the receptacle and den of al-Qaeda and all the terrorist mercenaries cutthroat in the area.

The game will not be over until these criminal delinquents and their godfathers will become kneeling and harmless.

Resistance against ZOG and the pro-Zionist forces will continue…

An official source at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry announced on Wednesday that in light of the Syrian Arab Republic’s commitment to preserve the lives of the Syrian people and stop the bloodshed, and based on its readiness to agree on all that would help the Syrian people return to their normal life as much as possible, activating and reinforcing the Syrian economy, and raising the living standard of citizens who suffered from the war imposed on Syria, and in line with its assertion on the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Syrian Arab republic supports the Russian initiative on the de-escalation zones and stresses commitment to the cessation of hostilities agreement signed on December 30th, 2016 including not shelling those regions.

In this regard, Syria affirms the continuation of the Syrian Arab army, the allied and backup forces in their war against terrorism and the fight against ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and other affiliated terrorist organizations wherever they were all over the Syrian territories.

Russian Presidential Envoy for Astana talks Alexander Lavrentyev affirmed on Friday that the planned de-escalation zones in Syria will be closed to the US-led coalition’s aviation.

He stressed that the US-led coalition’s “actions in the de-escalation zones, starting from now those zones are closed for their flights.” He added that the flight ban was not part of the memorandum establishing the safe zones, but assured the coalition would not fly over them……………..

Head of the Syrian Arab Republic delegation to the Astana meeting Bashar al-Jaafari said on Monday that the meeting aims at fixing the cessation of hostilities except for the areas where terrorist organizations are active.

In a statement at the opening of Astana meeting on Monday, Al-Jaafari asserted that herds of Takfiri terrorists were gathered, trained, financed, armed, and brought across the borders with the neighboring countries.

“Astana hosting the intra-Syrian meeting represents the mediation policy and the openness of Kazakhstan, and is the fruit of the joint efforts exerted by several parties, particularly the Russia and Iran, with the aim of fixing the decision of cessation of hostilities all over Syria except for the areas where terrorist organizations such as ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and others which rejected to join the agreement are active,” he said.

“Syria which we love is the homeland of diversity in all its forms, a homeland where the Syrians believe in the basis and principles of their independent democratic secular state based upon political pluralism, the rule of law, independence of the judiciary system, equality among citizens in rights and duties, guaranteeing cultural and social variety among all spectrum of the Syrian people, as well as maintaining the continuation of the work of the state institutions,” he said.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that: “al-Nusra is using water as a military tool, and since it is identified by the UN as a terror organization, al-Nusra cannot be defended, and the military operation against the terrorists depriving the people of Damascus from drinking water cannot be considered a breach of negotiations”…………………

On Sunday, a meeting between the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by UN-diplomat Bashar al-Jaafari, and Russian delegation, headed by Alexander Lavrentiev has started.

Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov said that Astana meeting is considered part of the general efforts exerted for solving the crisis in Syria.

He added that the atmosphere ahead of Astana meeting tomorrow is very positive, pointing out that the preparations are concentrated for convening the meeting.

Head of the Syrian Arab Republic delegation to Astana meeting, Bashar al-Jaafari said the meeting will focus mainly on firmly establishing lines of the cessation of hostilities and separating the terrorist organizations of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra from other armed groups that joined the cessation of hostilities.

“There is a schedule and an agenda for the meeting with its major aim focused on a set of points, which are firmly establishing the lines of the cessation of hostilities, separating terrorist groups such as ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra from other groups that have agreed to the cessation of hostilities or those who agreed to go to [Astana] meeting and reaching common denominators regarding the fight against terrorism,” said al-Jaafari.

“Turkey is a state that has been violating the Syrian sovereignty, providing assistance to the terrorist groups and impeding the peaceful solution. As for us, there is no Syrian-Turkish dialogue at the government level,” said al-Jaafari……………..

L’accord tripartite conclu entre la Russie, l’Iran et la Turquie ayant abouti au plan de cessation des hostilités garanti par la Russie et la Turquie, entré en vigueur le 29 décembre 2016 à minuit, adopté à l’unanimité par le Conseil de sécurité sous la résolution 2336 du 31 décembre, n’a pas empêché l’escalade des attaques terroristes sur l’ensemble du territoire syrien. Bientôt six ans de destructions, de malheurs, de froid, d’obscurité, de déchirures, de sanctions, dans pratiquement toutes les régions du pays et on-ne-sait-qui commet des crimes de guerre, malgré les preuves qui s’accumulent. En revanche, nul besoin de preuves pour accuser le gouvernement syrien, quand ce n’est pas la Russie, le Hezbollah, l’Iran ou l’Armée syrienne qui tue les siens?

Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said earlier today that the terrorist groups opened fire at scores of civilians, who tried to leave Aleppo’s districts, killing at least 26 and wounding many more.

The Jeish al-Fatah coalition of 22 terrorist groups breached the September 9 Nationwide Syrian truce again and stormed the pro-government forces’ strongholds in the Southwestern districts of Aleppo.

The Jeish al-Fatah terrorist’s attacks were repelled by the strong defense of the country’s government forces.

Judicial Watch proved it. Under a Freedom of Information Act request, Judicial Watch was able to obtain a (heavily redacted) copy of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) directive that initiated the creation of ISIS in 2012. The DIA report states,

Not even Judicial Watch seems to have appreciated the significance of this document, where its press release focused on the Benghazi attack. Recent releases of Hillary’s emails, moreover, confirm that taking out Assad has nothing to do with his alleged abuse of the Syrian people but because it will help Israel.

Just in case it has slipped anyone’s mind, Hillary was Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. Barack was inaugurated in 2008 and steps down in 2016. It happened on their watch. It could not have happened without their approval. They really did create ISIS!

The chemical attacks on Syrian citizens on 21 August 2013 was meant to justify lobbing cruise missiles into Syria. Obama was ready, but Americans were not. And when the ploy was debunked by a 50-page dossier the Russians provided to the UN, they resorted to “Plan B”, which was the creation of ISIS by the DIA.

Aside from the standard list of lies which US-led ‘Coalition’ representatives regularly spout regarding their so-called ‘moderate rebels’ (terrorists) in Syria, there is another key lie which is only barely holding Washington and London’s house of cards together – that is the idea that some of these ‘moderate rebels’ (terrorists) are somehow engaged in the grand crusade against ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh (all terms apply equally to ISIS). For all intents and purposes, this spurious western claim is a lie – one of many lies about Syria constantly being fed to the public by western politicians and media functionaries.

The reality, outside of the Washington-London “classified” reality bubble is that these US-NATO-GCC-backed ‘moderate rebels’ (terrorists) have, more or less, the exact same objectives as ISIS,and unless they are fighting over control over money or illicit black markets, their shared collective goal is the overthrow of the Syrian government in Damascus via ‘regime change’ and an end to a secular, multi-religious nation-state of Syria. Put simply: their flag designs and online brands may differ, but they are effectively one in the same. So it only stands to reason that if the US-NATO allies are wholeheartedly backing this rebel-terrorist ‘armed opposition’ conclave, then despite their highfalutin rhetoric, US-NATO allies are also supporting an end to the secular multi-religious nation-state in Syria.

Furthermore, as western-backed terrorist rebels share the same objectives as ISIS, then by extension – this also means that the US-NATO allies share the exact same goals as ISIS. Yes, that’s right: US-NATO forces have positioned themselves as natural allies of ISIS, alongside the ‘moderate rebel’ terrorists who have already received billions in western taxpayer-funded arms, equipment, training, intelligence support and cash.

The United States seems to want al-Nusra Front terrorist group to remain in some form in Syria and use it to achieve own goals, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov urged the US earlier this month to convince those rebel groups which they support in Syria to leave areas where al-Nusra Front militants are present.

Earlier, Washington asked Moscow to direct its airstrikes solely at al-Nusra Front and refrain from targeting so-called “moderate” rebels, working with al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria.

“The Americans are now saying that they are unable to remove the ‘good’ opposition members from the positions held by al-Nusra Front, and that they will need another two-three months. I am under the impression that there is a game here and they may want to keep al-Nusra Front in some form and later use it to overthrow the [Assad] regime,” Lavrov said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Interestingly, both Moscow and Washington view al-Nusra Front as a terrorist organization.

In this context, distancing itself from al-Qaeda’s offshoot should have been a non-issue for what Russian officials often have referred to as “patriotic” opposition.

Why are they not severing ties will al-Qaeda then?

Terrorist groups targeted Hadar village and al-Baath city in Quneitra southern province with shells, artillery and shots on Monday where two people got injured and service utilities were damaged.

A source at Quneitra Police Command said that terrorists in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbieh fired five mortar and artillery shells on al-Khadami neighborhood in al-Baath city, causing an injury to a child and material damage to public and private properties including the buildings of Health Directorate, Civil Status Office and Finance Directorate.

The source pointed out that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Jebbata al-Khashab targeted farmers with gunshots in Hadar village, causing severe injuries to a person.

Russia and Syria claimed surprise when the Kurdish defense forces withdrew from positions around Aleppo, shuttling in al Nusra forces who are now not only advised by Turkish military but actually include all Turkish units now operating inside Syria itself.

Based on what we now see from the Raqqah drive by the Kurds from the North, another phony attack on ISIS, and the new clear cooperative agreement between ISIS and al Nusra, we know this for sure.

Units of Kurdish militia have abandoned defenses in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsood and retreated, a spokesman for the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria said on Saturday.

Over the past 24 hours, terrorists delivered strikes from multiple rocket launchers, mortars and anti-aircraft guns on the residential areas of Handrat, Sheikh Maqsood, al-Muhafaza, al-Zahraa and al-Nayrab airport in the city of Aleppo.

Also, the residential localities of Kinsibba and Nahshebba in the Latakia region and Fua and Kafr Haya in the Idlib region came under shelling.

The meeting between American, Turkish, Israeli and SDF representatives, joined by military operational leaders of the Free Syrian Army, ISIS and al Nusra, outlined a staged “theatrical” chain of events intended to move ISIS ostensibly out of Northern Syria and replace them with a Turkish/Israeli consortium which has, in actuality, managed ISIS all along.

This schedule, we believe, was arranged for in Azaz, indicating full cooperation between the US, Turkey, Israel and terrorist forces in both Syria and Iraq, and that Kurdish forces are fully complicit.

A senior figure from a Syrian terrorist group with links to al Qaida was allowed into the United States for a brief visit, raising questions about how much the Obama administration will compromise in the search for partners in the conflict.

Labib al Nahhas, foreign affairs director for the Islamist terrorist group Ahrar al Sham, spent a few days in Washington in December, according to four people with direct knowledge of the trip and who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of U.S. relations with Syrian rebels.

For months, Nahhas, serving as Ahrar’s ambassador to the outside world, has flown to foreign capitals and penned op-eds showing a willingness to work with the West, only to see his efforts undermined by the military wing of the group.

Last summer, only a month after Nahhas pledged Ahrar’s commitment to a “moderate” future for Syria, the group issued a statement praising the late Taliban chief Mullah Omar as the embodiment of “the true meanings of jihad and sincerity.”

AT THE SAME TIME, US official in charge of Middle East affairs, arrived on a surprise visit Saturday to Syria.

General Joseph L. Votel, commander of US Central Command, the top US official in charge of Middle East affairs, arrived unexpectedly on a visit to Syria Saturday.

Hezbollah has captured an American and a French spies in its operations in Aleppo, a prominent Lebanese media source revealed on Saturday, adding that the US, Israeli and Saudi intelligence agents helped Al-Nusra Front to find the place of Hezbollah’s martyred military chief, Mustafah Badreddin, and kill him in retaliation.

Two U.S. and French intelligence officers were working in the newly-founded joint operations room of Jeish al-Fatah (a coalition of several terrorist groups) in Aleppo in one of the regions controlled by al-Nusra Front in Aleppo.

The joint operations room was set up so that the French and US intelligence agents can directly command Jeish al-Fatah terrorist attacks in Aleppo and nearby regions.

The U.S. imagined that the captured spies would be taken to Lebanon and alerted Tel Aviv to bomb the convoy that was supposedly taking the captive American and French officers, but the convoy that came under the Israeli airstrike was not carrying the captured spies.

Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that “day after day facts are unveiling and confessions as well as documents are being revealed about the goals behind the battle on Syria and the role of the US and the West in it along with their regional allies and those who took advantage of the groups, funded them, facilitated their arrival to Syria, and armed them”…

The situation in Turkey keeps getting worse. Private debt is out of control, the tourism sector is in free-fall and the decline in the currency has impacted every citizen’s buying power. Because of increasing pressures on the central bank and political storms, Turkey’s annual growth rate has already slowed.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seems to be out of control. He is cracking down on opposition, imprisoning opponents and seizing media outlets. Not once the Turkish leader has threatened to dissolve the constitutional court. It is taking place at the time the security problems have deteriorated amidst a wave of terrorism.

Turkish people have a very simple choice: either to replace insanity with intelligence and wisdom on the way to peace and prosperity, or continue on the present downward course under the smoldering ashes of civil war and destruction.

Nusaybin in Turkey is bombarded by the Turkish military, while Turkish construction equipment, including bulldozers, were seen constructing trenches, reportedly just inside Syrian territory.

Several non-Syrian members of the ISIL, including their Iraqi commander, were arrested by the Syrian Army troops in a camp of Iraqi refugees, intelligence sources said Wednesday.

“Mustafa Ahmed Murshid, who had fled Iraq and had hidden among the Iraqi refugees coming from al-Sajariyeh East of Ramadi, was captured by the Syrian army men,” the sources said, adding, “The Syrian soldiers, tipped off by one of the tribal leaders about presence of Murshid and some of his comrades among the Iraqi families in a refugee camp, stormed the tent of Murshid and arrested him.”

“Five ISIL members from Caucasus, a Tunisian, a Turkish and another Iraqi militant were also arrested by the army,” the sources said, adding, “Mursihd was wounded on his leg in the army’s attack.”

The Syrian Army troops and popular forces also pushed the terrorists of al-Nusra Front and Jeish al-Turkmen back from one more strategic height in the Northeastern parts of the coastal province of Lattakia opening a new gate to the Southern battlefields of Idlib province, military sources said Wednesday.

The Syrian Army’s artillery units and fighter jets targeted the ISIL gatherings in the Western countryside of Deir Ezzur city, inflicting major damage on the group’s military hardware in large scale.

A Turkish opposition MP has accused the government of ignoring Islamic State (Daesh, ISIS, ISIL) activity on its territory despite knowing precise locations of militants. Documents containing what is thought to be proof of those allegations have been handed to the media.

Eren Erdem of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), told the Turkish parliament that the Turkish police have had extensive data on Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) activities in the country, but didn’t act against the terrorists under pressure from the government.

“There is no negligence here, there is intent. Everything is in AKP’s hands, but they did not interfere. It means (President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Erdogan’s ruling) AKP Party makes a distinction between terrorist organizations and turns a blind eye to IS,” he stressed.

According to Erdem, security forces wiretapped the phones of IS militants in the country, knowing of their plans and whereabouts.

One of the transcribes revealed that “1,128 ISIS militants came to Turkey (from Syria) and the government didn’t carry out any operation to them… The security of the country turned a blind eye to IS militants because of government pressure. The militants can easily cross the border, receive weapons and ideological training and return to the country with the purpose of massacre.”

Reuters Agency: “Britain, the United States, France and Ukraine blocked a Russian proposal at the United Nations to blacklist Syrian rebel groups Jaish al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham for links to Islamic State and al Qaeda militants, diplomats said on Wednesday. Russia made the proposal late last month and the U.S. mission to the United Nations had signalled it would oppose the move, saying it would undermine attempts to get a sustained halt in the fighting in Syria”.

A number of the locals of al-Zara town in the southern countryside of Hama who survived the massacre committed by terrorist groups against the locals of the town on Thursday at dawn said members of those terrorist groups attacked the town and killed children and women in homes and roads.

Speaking to the Syrian TV, one of the survivors said that the armed terrorist groups infiltrated into the town at dawn while its people were sleeping, raided homes and killed children, women and elderly in a brutal manner, adding that terrorists killed his mother and his aunt, kidnapped his uncle and killed his sons.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has accused the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front terror group of carrying out a recent deadly attack on a camp for internally displaced persons in northwestern Syria.

“Judging by the damage shown in photographs and video, the camp may have been shelled either on purpose or by mistake by multiple rocket launchers, which are currently being used very actively in this area by terrorists from al-Nusra,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

Konashenkov also said that no Russian or other warplanes were flying over the Kamuna camp near the Syrian town of Sarmada in Idlib province at the time of the Thursday attack.

“We have attentively studied the information from the air space monitoring data in this area for May 4 and 5, 2016. There were no flights by Russian or any other aircraft over Sarmada,” Konashenkov noted.
