Damascus countryside Governorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), distributed on Tuesday 2000 food and health packages to the locals of al-Moadamiya city in Damascus Countryside.

The distribution of the humanitarian aid came in the framework of the government plan to distribute 5000 humanitarian aid packages through two days.

Head of the National Reconciliation Committee in the city Hassan Ghandour said that the terrorist groups related to foreign agendas tried to prevent the locals from receiving the humanitarian aid packages to distort the real image of what is happening on the ground and to inflame the humanitarian condition through media outlets which participate in shedding blood of the Syrians.

On December 28, 2015, the United Nation’s OCHA made its first express Twitter mention of two northern Syrian villages, al-Foua and Kafarya (also transliterated as Kafraya).

The belated December mention is in spite of the fact that the two villages of around 30,000 people have been locked under siege by terrorist factions Jebhat al-Nusra (al Qaeda in Syria), Jaysh al-Fattah (the so-called “Army of Conquest”), and Ahrar al-Sham (Liberation of the Levant Movement), among other terrorist factions, since March 2015. The siege has meant that the isolated villages have had limited to no access to food and medical supplies since then. Additionally, terrorists have been daily firing rockets, mortars and hell cannons at the villages, killing and maiming residents, destroying homes and infrastructure.

The tweet-linked UN report, however, does mention at least mention the two villages by name, although it does not at all mention the terrorists’ bombings of the villages, nor the immensely dire situation there.

This in spite of the fact that the UN did acknowledge, back in March 2015, that al-Foua and Kafarya had just been besieged.

Consider that the areas that the UN’s OCHA did tweet about–Yarmouk, al-Waer, Zabadani, Madaya, to name but some–are occupied by terrorists as criminal as Da’esh which the west purports to fight. All these factions are terrorists, none of them moderates.

Somehow, the UN is able to visit Madaya, al-Waer… but cannot get to al-Foua and Kafarya. Defies logic. If the UN representatives are able to enter into terrorist hotbeds, they can exert pressure on the western-backed mercenaries to allow them into civilian areas surrounded by the terrorists. IF they wanted to. Which they don’t.

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari reiterated that the Syrian government is committed to full cooperation with the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to deliver humanitarian aid to affected civilians in all Syrian areas, including those described by the UN as “inaccessible” or “besieged”.

“The Syrian government didn’t and will not practice a starvation policy against its people,” al-Jaafari asserted in a press conference following a UN Security Council session to discuss the humanitarian situation in Syria.

He explained that “it is the terrorist organizations that seized the humanitarian assistance supplies sent to civilians in the areas under their control”, clarifying that “this was what happened in Madaya town, located in northwestern Damascus countryside”.

He made it clear that “those areas described as ‘besieged’ and ‘inaccessible’ are controlled by the terrorist organizations that are using the civilians there as human shields and blocking aid delivery”.

It seems the propaganda machine of the West just won’t quit when it comes to Syria. Whether it is claims that Assad is “butchering his own people” that overwhelmingly support him, “using chemical weapons” on civilians at questionably convenient times that defy all logic, or buying oil from ISIS, the Western propaganda against the legitimate secular government of Syria seems to become more and more absurd with each passing attempt.

The latest attempt at portraying Assad as the new Hitler without a shred of real evidence? Claims that he is starving the residents of Madaya for some undefined purpose that would allegedly benefit his “grip” on power.

Actually, according to the Western media, no motives are necessary. For the West and its populations totally lacking in discernment, Assad is starving the people of Madaya and that is enough.

But the truth is that Assad is not starving the people of Madaya. The people of Madaya are suffering because their village is overrun with the savages supported by NATO, the GCC, and Israel. Unfortunately,the Western media that insists upon calling them “rebels” and “activists” instead of what they are.

The Saudi media are trying to magnify one through fake images and let the others die in news blackout, otherwise not even a single person informed of news and developments can accept that Saudi Arabia is concerned about people’s lives in Madaya, while attacking and slaughtering innocent civilians in Sana’a and Sa’da in Yemen with different missiles, cluster bombs and US and UK-made ammunition.

The family of a south Lebanon girl depicted in a photo that went viral alleging to show a starving child from a besieged Syrian border town has expressed anger over the incident.

“They took it too far this time,” Rosine Mazeh, the grandmother of 7-year-old Marianna Mazeh, told Al-Jadeed from their village of Tay Filsey in a report broadcast Saturday.

She said the photo of her smiling brown-haired, blue-eyed granddaughter was originally posted to Facebook three years ago and had been doctored several times in the past by individuals promoting different causes.

The European Union welcomes the decision by Damascus to allow the arrival of humanitarian aid to Madaya, a Syrian village in the mountains near the border with Lebanon, while the Anglo-American media propaganda accuses the government of Bashar al-Assad to starve excruciatingly his own people.

Government sources say they have recently brought enough food to feed the population for at least two mesigli, saying that humanitarian aid is being taken over by armed gangs that control the village, which instead to feed the population are smuggling and selling the foodstuffs on the black market.

Just a few days ago, also in the province of Hama, Syrian authorities have discovered, in the liberated areas, warehouses full of tons of flour and food that had been intended for the people, but instead were stored in hidden places ready to be smuggled and sold in Turkey.
