Jarih al-Watan (Injured of the Homeland) program was launched by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in 2014 to support wounded people and provide their needs, particularly those who sustained injuries that prevent them from returning to their normal lives.

It provides prosthetics to the injured and helps them start productive projects, in addition to providing assistance to those who suffer full disability. The project targets all wounded members of the Army and Armed Forces and supporting forces……………

The attack followed by another one in the Mediterranean City of Alexandria, the second major City in Egypt, where six people killed including a policeman at St Mark’s Cathedral. Today’s attacks against Coptic church come few weeks ahead of a visit to Cairo by Pope Francis scheduled on April 28. A source at Damascus Police Command said that a terrorist suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew up himself in the old Justice Palace building in al-Hamidiyeh area in the city of Damascus.

The terrorist bombing claimed the lives of a number of people and injured many others who were at the building.

The terrorist, who was dressed in a military uniform and was carrying a gun and a grenade, was stopped by the guards at the external door of the old Justice Palace building. After he handed over his gun and grenade to the guards as he was told to do so, he ran quickly towards the door of the lobby of the Justice Palace, where there was a large number of people attending to their paper work at the building, the terrorist blew himself up……………..

Speaking at a UN Security Council session held to discuss the humanitarian situation in Aleppo, Syria’s permanent representative to the UN Bashar Al-Jaafari said that no one in the world is more committed than the Syrian government to protect the Syrians’ lives which suffer from the terrorism of armed organizations. He added, that terrorist attacks on civilians in Aleppo thrice coincided with the announcement of humanitarian pauses which were aimed at civilian’s lives saving.

However, the West stubbornly ignores the significant efforts made by the Syrian authorities to rescue civilians including the introduction of humanitarian pauses, organization of humanitarian corridors, and delivery of humanitarian assistance.

In addition, Al-Jaafari pointed out that all who commit crimes should be declared terrorists, no matter which group they belong to. Anyone who raises a weapon against civilians can’t belong to the “moderate” opposition.

The terrorist group Al Nusra Front has killed over 40 people in massive artillery shelling of the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Russian military reported.

The Al-Qaeda branch used rocket artillery, mortars and anti-aircraft cannons to attack several neighborhoods of the war-torn city, the Russian military mission in Syria reported on Saturday.

The attack devastated a police station and seriously damaged several residential buildings, the report said. Over 40 civilians, security officers and military troops were killed by the shelling while some 100 were injured.

Washington has asked Moscow not to conduct airstrikes against al-Nusra Front, which is Al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria, for fear that members of the “moderate opposition” could also be hit, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has reported.

“They [the US] are telling us not to hit it [al-Nusra Front], because there are also ‘normal’ opposition groups [on those territories],” Lavrov said in an interview with local Russian media that was published on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website.

More than a century has passed since the execution of Syrian nationalists and intellectuals at al-Marjeh Square in Damascus by the Ottoman’s ruler Jamal Basha, who was known as al-Saffah (the blood shedder), on May 6th, 1916.

The Martyrs’ Day occasion holds very special significance for the Syrian people who stress their determination to make sacrifices and offer more martyrs in order to defending their homeland’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Blood and human lives, in large amounts, were sacrificed in the retaking of Palmyra. According to one report, more than 180 soldiers with the Syrian Army and their allied forces were killed in the fighting. Doubtless among these are plenty of examples of courage and sacrifice, but one story seems to be emerging above all others–that of Aleksandr Prochorenko.

At just 25 years of age, Aleksandr, a Russian Special Operations officer, was sent into Palmyra in advance of the military drive to liberate the city. His job? To identify ISIS positions and to pass their coordinates along to command for purpose of airstrikes.

Russian soldiers in Syria are obviously well-trained. But perhaps even more important than that, they are highly motivated. Motivation is important, nay, crucial in war. And it only comes from knowing precisely what you are fighting and why. Russian soldiers know that in ISIS they are battling an evil and malevolent scourge of hideous proportions, this not only in terms of its rank and file recruits but also with regard to the world leaders backing this demonic, hoodlum army. The Russians are exposed to truth through their media, and they have confidence in their country’s leadership. Vladimir Putin’s approval rating in Russia is near 90 percent.

Thankfully for Russian soldiers, they don’t have to contend with any of this. When they are sent to war it is for reasons which are clearly and forthrightly articulated. And when they die it is in the interests primarily of their own country, or else humanity as a whole, rather than the narrow interests of a genocidal, apartheid state that finishes off moribund prisoners with a gunshot to the head as we saw occur in Israel last week.

And so a Russian hero, in the service of what is decent, went above and beyond the call of duty. And the world owes him its thanks. But instead, Western leaders couldn’t seem to bear even a simple statement acknowledging what he and his fellow combatants had achieved.

One week after the attack on the house of the Missionaries of Charity in Aden, in Yemen, there is still no news of the Indian Salesian missionary Fr Tom Uzhunnalil.

In addition to the sisters, the driver and at least two other Ethiopian employees of the community were killed during the terrorist attack. The Mother Superior of the convent escaped. The elderly and disabled people housed at the community are all alive.

As yet, there is no news of Fr Uzhunnalil who has been residing at the Sisters’ convent since the Holy Family church in Aden was looted and set on fire by unidentified armed men last September.

Also 4 Missionary Sisters of Charity, the congregation founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, were murdered by a group of armed men who attacked their convent, in the Yemeni city of Aden.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah asserted on Sunday that the Zionist entity and all its allies among the Arab regimes will fall all together, noting that the Arab people will stressed that ‘Israel’ will keep their enemy.

His eminence noted that the recent tension which struck the Lebanese-Saudi relations is attributed to KSA’s 5-year catastrophic failure and disappointment in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Bahrain.

Sayyed Nasrallah added that the Saudi regime had expected that few weeks would be enough to defeat their opponents in Yemen and Syria even if the successive rulers were the terrorist groups, which denies KSA’s anti-terrorist claims.

In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah wondered, “what would have happened in Lebanon if the terrorists had achieved victory in Syria?”

Sayyed Nasrallah explained what happened in one of the care houses few days ago in Yemen’s Aden where the terrorists stormed the building and killed a number nuns, Muslim elders and Indian nurses, considering that they are disbelievers.

We understand the rage of the Saudis who wanted to blame Hezbollah for all their failures in the entire region, according to Sayyed Nasrallah who emphasized that the Resistance feels proud for being viewed as the party who can frustrate the Saudi schemes.

“The message also stresses that the Israeli existence in the region can never be normalized despite all the attempts on the Zionist officials and some Arab leaders.”

“The Bahraini regime jails the Muslims clerics and receives a Zionist Rabbi to highlight its relations with Israel.”

Homs/Aleppo, 3 March 2016 ~ The Syrian army’s air force destroyed command centers, gatherings and vehicles equipped with machineguns for daesh [ISIS] terrorist organization east and west of Palmyra city, Rasm al-Arnab village and Wadi Abyad area in the eastern countryside of Homs province, a military source reported on Thursday.

A Syrian AA unit restored stability and security to Fah village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province after eliminating the remaining gatherings of Daesh terrorist gangs in it, a military source announced.

Army units then combed the village searching for explosive devices and bombs to remove them and fully secure the village.

The army’s air force targeted sites for Daesh mercenaries in al-Bab city, 38 km northeast of Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists in personnel and equipment and destroying their positions and vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.

In a relevant context, the General Command of the Syrian Arab Army and Armed Forces called upon the locals of Keffin and Masqan towns in the northern countryside of the province to return to their houses after the areas were secured.

A series of blasts have struck the outskirts of Syria’s capital, Damascus.
At least 45 people (50, updated a few minutes ago), were killed in the mainly Shiite neighbourhood, Syria’s Interior Ministry reported. The Islamic State terrorist group has taken responsibility for the attacks.

Death toll from three terrorist bombings that rocked l-Sayyeda Zainab town in Damascus Countryside earlier on Sunday has climbed to 45 (50, updated a few minutes ago), a source at the Interior Ministry said.

The source earlier put the number of people killed in the attacks at 30, in addition to 110 injured, some of them were reported to be in critical condition.

The attacks, which hit in Koua Soudan area, were caused by a car bomb and two explosive belts, according to the source.

Terrorists detonated the car bomb at the bus station in Koua Soudan area, and after people gathered to help the injured, two suicide bombers with explosive belts blew themselves up at the site.

The aim of such terrorist and “cowardly” crimes is to raise the morale of the defeated terrorist organizations in light of the great victories made by the Syrian Arab Army in different areas.

Such terrorist crimes will not deter the Syrians from continuing the process of national reconciliation in different areas, particularly in Damascus countryside.

Terrorism-supporting states (Saudi, Turkey, Qatar, USA, UK, NATO countries) are responsible for these terrorist crimes.

Some of those disclosures were made in the recent documentary Drone; additional details have been provided in an open letter from the whistleblowers to President Obama, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, and CIA Director John Brennan.

Elsewhere the former drone operators have described how their colleagues dismissed children as “fun-sized terrorists” and compared killing them to “cutting the grass before it grows too long.”
