Syria’s most powerful Islamic extremist force, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (Al-Qaeda Syria-HTS), Turkistan Islamic Party forces of Uighur East Indies gunmen, “moderate terrorists”, under the command of a number of US military intelligence agents, sought to change the battlefield morphology with a large-scale attack.

General plan of the terrorist force is: destroying the ceasefire agreement, conducting a major offensive, maneuvering dozens of tanks, armor, caliber artillery, hundreds of pickup trucks Syria’s northern Syrian army front line in the safe area under the Astana-Kazakhstan deal. The main purpose was to prevent the Syrian army’s attack on the battlefield of Deir Ezzor. But a key part of the plan is to take prisoners of 29 Russian military soldiers, who are tasked with overseeing the security of Idlib.

In this “hair-hanging” situation, with an important request not to let the Russian military personnel casualties, the commander of the Russian military forces in Syria, General Surovkin commanded the rescue team.

The relief forces are quite special, including the Russian Ministry of Defense Special Forces, the Russian military battalion with the majority of the North Caucasus troops (Chechen) and the Syrian Special Forces practice. Direct command of the battle was Major General Victor Shuliak, deputy commander of Russian military forces in Syria.

The ISIS-held area is crumbling in Syria and Iraq under a pressure on multiple frontlines.

The Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) are conducting large-scale anti-ISIS operations in the area of Hawija and in an area east of al-Qaim at the Deir Ezzor-Baghdad highway. The army and the PMU have liberated over 30 villages near Hawija and captured the town of Aanah east of al-Qaim.

Syrian armed forces supported by the Russian Air Force have regained control of 87.4 percent of the country, Russia’s military said, adding that Russian warplanes had destroyed over 96,000 terrorist targets in the course of the two-year campaign.

Since September 30, 2015, when Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the deployment of the Russian jets and helicopters to Syria at the request of the Syrian government, they have conducted more than 30,000 sorties, annihilating more than 96,000 targets, according to data cited in the publication.

Among the terrorist positions destroyed in the raids were 8,332 command posts, over 53,700 militants of terrorist groups, and almost a thousand training camps, as well as 6,769 oil and ammunition depots.

Since the launch of a two-year bombing campaign, Russian warplanes have inflicted serious damage to the oil infrastructure seized by IS, which is believed to be the main source of income for the terrorists.

Russian warplanes and Syrian forces have repelled an offensive by jihadists in a de-escalation zone in Idlib governorate in Syria. The forces killed some 850 militants and destroyed 11 tanks and other assets, Russia’s General Staff reported.

The jihadists attacked the positions of government forces stationed to the north and northeast of the city of Hama. The positions are part of a designated de-escalation zone, which covers Idlib governorate, the powerbase of a number of anti-government armed groups in Syria, the Russian military said.

The report accused U.S. security services of instigating the offensive, which, the statement said, is meant to derail the successful operation of Damascus forces east of Deir ez-Zor.

The Russian General Staff said the militants tried to capture a unit of the Russian military police, which have a mandate to monitor the ceasefire in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The unit was forced to fight against a larger enemy presence for several hours, but prevailed thanks to the support of a local militia.

The General Staff said the jihadist offensive had been stopped. The militants’ estimated losses include some 850 fighters, 11 tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, 46 armed pickup trucks, five mortars, 20 freighter trucks and 38 ammo supply points… … …

Footage emerged on Saturday of Iraqi pro-government fighters using anti-aircraft weaponry to shoot at US-led coalition jet near al-Tanf border crossing in Southeastern Homs, media sources reported.

An amateur video released by a fighter of the Badr Movement, an Iraqi contingent, showed that the Iraqi pro-government forces opened heavy fire at the coalition’s fighter jet.

The Badr Movement operates alongside the Syrian Army, Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), 313 Forces (Syrian militia), the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, Harakat al-Abdal (Iraqi paramilitary), Kata’ib al-Imam Ali (Iraqi paramilitary), Kata’ib Hezbollah (Iraqi paramilitary) along the Damascus-Baghdad highway.

A report said on Friday that the Syrian Army sent a large number of fresh forces to the Damascus-Baghdad highway in the Southern part of the country to reinforce contingents bombed by the United States Air Forces.

Hundreds of the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi fighters have also poured into the Southeastern countryside of Damascus in the last ten days, taking up positions alongside the Syrian Army troops and their allies.

The AMN reported that the Iraqi fighters, comprised of forces from the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Shaabi), greatly outnumber the Hezbollah forces in Southern Syria.

It added that similar to Hezbollah’s field operations along the Lebanese border since 2013, the Iraqi paramilitaries are poised to not only secure the Baghdad-Damascus Highway, but also, seal the border to the terrorists………………………….

The Syrian military command has been redeploying the elite Tiger Forces of the Syrian Arab Army from the northern Hama countryside to the area of the ancient city of Palmyra, according to reports of local journalists and some military souces.

The redeployment of the Tiger Forces to Palmyra followed the de-facto end of government forces offensive attempts in northern Hama.

The Syrian military had regaimed the all areas lost to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in March and even gained additional ground.

Now, the Syrian military is reportedly concentrating forces in the area of Palmyra for a widely expected push on the key city of Deir Ezzor besieged by ISIS terrorists.

Iran, Turkey and Russia have signed a memorandum on the creation of four security zones in Syria during another round of the peace talks in Astana on May 4.

According to the document, security zones were proposed in the province of Idlib, in the area north of the city of Homs, in Eastern Ghouta near Damascus and in southern Syria.

“Guarantors within five days after signing the memorandum will create a working group at the level of authorized representatives to determine the boundaries of disarmament, areas of tension and security areas, as well as to address technical issues related to the implementation of the memorandum,” the text of the document reads.

All technical issues, including borders of the zones, should be solved until May 22. The next round of the Astana peace talks will take place in mid-July when the trilateral group will report about the process of the reconciliation.

If the initiative achieves at least partly success, this will likely mean that in May or June the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allied forces, backed up by Russia and Iran, will launch a large operation against ISIS (ISIL, Daesh) in central Syria, aiming to reach the key city of Deir Ezzor besieged by ISIS. However, these will be possible only if the situation near Damascus, Daraa and Homs will be calm.

Events in the siege of Aleppo since our last update have followed a tense yet decisive course. While the specifics remained fluid, the overall outcome was a somewhat predictable course given the balance of forces.

The Syrian army and Palestinian resistance forces paved their way into the Palestinian Yarmouk refugee camp in the Southwestern part of the capital, Damascus, on Sunday to push out the ISIL Takfiri terrorists who are controlling the camp.

The army units and Palestinian resistance forces struck ISIL’s military positions along Loubya and Safad streets, killing several Takfiri terrorists after a series of fierce clashes near the Tadamon region inside the camp.

The Russian fighter jets bombed a Turkish convoy of trucks carrying weapons to terrorist groups in Syria.
The airstrikes hit the trucks which were carrying weapons from Turkey to the Takfiri terrorists fighting in Syria near Azaz town in Aleppo.

The sources said that the Syria army, the country’s National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters continued their joint anti-terrorism operation near the town of Humaymah al-Kabeera, and seized control over the strategic Tal Humaymah after fierce clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.

“Foreign media reports that Russian warplanes have allegedly destroyed a column of trucks from an ‘aid convoy’, which was on its way from Turkey, near the Bab el Salam border crossing are speculation”.

“Nothing was left of those ammunitions. Therefore, we would recommend you not to try to pass off a burning truck convoy with munitions meant for the militants operating to the north of Aleppo as relief aid next time,” the Russian general said.

The Syrian Armed Forces on Saturday morning stormed the 4th Battalion Base of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the Golan Heights and took full control over the base after fierce clashes with the FSA mercenaries.

At sunrise on Saturday morning, the Syrian Army’s 90th Brigade of the 9th Armored Division, in coordination with Fouj Al-Joulani (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) of the National Defense Forces (NDF), launched a counter-assault at the 4th Battalion Base outside of the town of Taranjah, resulting in a series of intense firefights with the Free Syrian Army’s Southern Front Brigades.

The FSA has now lost all of their previous gains from the September offensive that put them in position to attack the Syrian government strongholds of Khan Arnabeh and Hadar inside the Golan Heights of the Quneitra province.

(Damascus Time) on Tuesday morning, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) launched a multitude of airstrikes over the strategic city of Jisr Al-Shughour in preparation for a large-scale assault to break the one month long siege of the National Hospital, where over 250 Syrian Arab Army soldiers, doctors, and nurses are currently protecting their encircled positions.

The SAAF’s airstrikes rained a number of bombs over the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their allies from “Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham” and “Ajnad Al-Sham” for two hours before the Syrian Arab Army’s 87th Brigade of the 11th Tank Division, Tiger Forces, and the National Defense Forces (NDF) fired a barrage of mortar shells and rockets towards the Sugar Factory that is situated 1.5km from Jisr Al-Shughour.

Last Thursday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – laid a powerful ambush on a large Islamist rebel contingent traveling through the hills of Al-Khalidiyah in the As-Sweida Governorate.

The militants from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their allies from “Liwaa Al-Yarmouk” and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) were traveling through Al-Khalidiyah in order to transport a multitude of Israeli and American manufactured weapons to their fighters entrenched in the northern countryside of As-Sweida.

Video evidence from the ambush was released by members of the NDF, which depicted approximately 30 armed militants traveling through a desolate area in Al-Khalidiyah before a roadside bomb was detonated by the Syrian Armed Forces; this resulted in the death of all the Islamist fighters traveling in the convoy.

On early Monday morning, the militants from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” launched a surprise attack on Hezbollah positions in the villages of ‘Assal Al-Ward and Jaroud, attempting to overwhelm the Lebanese Resistance Army with a large contingent of combatants to take these areas in the Qalamoun Mountains.

Unfortunately for Jabhat Al-Nusra, Hezbollah’s frontline defenses were impregnable on Monday, as the attack quickly turned sour for the Al-Qaeda group, resulting in the death of a confirmed 26 enemy combatants and 42 others that were reportedly wounded during the fierce engagement.

Early reports from Jabhat Al-Nusra social media activists stated that dozens of Hezbollah soldiers were killed and much of the territory captured; however, a source in the Qalamoun Mountains confirmed that THIS NEWS WAS IN FACT FALSE, as Hezbollah suffered only four casualties during the firefight with the mercenary gangs.

Kuwaiti Commander of Daesh Gangs Gunned Down by Syrian National Defence Forces in Deir Ezzur.

Syrian National Defence Forces killed a Kuwaiti commander of Daeswh-IS terrorist gangs in the Eastern parts of Syria.

According with local sources, the mercenary commander was killed in an attack in Albu Kamal city of Deir Ezzur province, while he was driving his car, on Saturday night.

Syrian Arab Army and National Defence Forces continue targeting foreign mercenaries and barbarian terrorist gangs in several provinces.

Units of the Army and Armed Forces on Sunday targeted foreign-backed terrorists in many areas across the country, killing numbers of them and wounding others, in addition to thwarting infiltration attempts.

army killed dozens of terrorists in Douma, Misraba, Harasta, al-Nashabyyeh and Erbin, adding that among the dead were Imad al-Subayhi from Libya, Wasim al-Admada, Jamal al-Bakkar, Zuhair al-Bika’e, Ahmad Zotolov (nicknamed Abu Talha), al-Sharif Bin Attyeh from Libya, and Mohammad Kanous.

The army killed over 20 terrorists in the farms of Alya and Ilab in Douma.

At least 50 Daesh-IS mercenary terrorists have been killed in the past 24 hours in clashes with Syrian Arab Army and suicide bombings.

The number of deaths was one of the highest daily tolls for the terrorist group since they launched the assault on the strategic town on the Turkish border, in September.
