Russian Sappers Start Demining Deir Ezzor Facilities

In the first few days of their work in Deir Ezzor, the Russian sappers managed to disable more than 1,500 IEDs, inspected 8 kilometers of roads, 8 buildings and about 3 hectares of land in the area.

Russian sappers along with their counterparts from the Syrian Arab Army started the demining of public facilities in Deir Ezzor city, east of Syria. Most of the city was liberated and the siege by ISIS was lifted by the SAA and allies with assistance from the Russian forces.

More than 15 square kilometers, 150 million square meters, will be scanned and de-mined in the city. ISIS terrorists with their US sponsors were busy not only making life near impossible to the besieged civilians in the city but also to make the city impossible to live in long after they leave.

Russian sappers along with their counterparts from the Syrian Arab Army engineering units have worked hand in hand to clean the entire liberated Eastern Aleppo districts from mines and IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) planted by the FSA, al-Nusra and other mercenary-terrorist gangs before they left. Russian-trained Syrian Army sappers clear mines in Homs residential areas for the 1st time

The Syrian Arab Army sappers are the first graduates of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces.

In the video they are clearing mines (left by U.S.-backed mercenary-terrorists) in Homs residential areas.

This also means fighting terrorism on the ground (…what the U.S. does not do absolutely…).

Russian sappers deployed to Aleppo made a sensational discovery this week, uncovering a weapons cache left behind by anti-government militants filled to the brim with ammo for heavy weapons manufactured in countries including the US, Germany and Bulgaria.

Major Ivan Gromov, the commander of the mine-clearing group, told the Rossiya 24 television news channel that his group has been discovering Western-made ammunition, from large-caliber rounds for small arms to rocket artillery shells, littered across the city. Heavy rounds and shells include ammunition manufactured in the United States, Germany and Bulgaria, he added.

In a sensational discovery, Gromov’s team and local pro-government militia also found brand new, pristine 122 mm mortar shells, hand grenades and grenade launchers, missiles for multiple rocket launch systems and howitzer shells in a rebel hideout. The source of many of these weapons is clearly marked, with some of the ammo boxes featuring stickers marked ‘From USA for Mutual Defense’… … …

Syrian Army Sappers find chemicals explosives in schools in Aleppo’s liberated area

Syrian Government Forces are retaking neighbourhood after neighbourhood in eastern Aleppo. But getting rid of the jihadist-mercenary-terrorists, is only the first stage in making these areas safe for civilians again. Lizzie Phealan (RT’s reporter) has been accompanying a Syrian Arab Army Unit of Sappers into liberated parts of the Aleppo neighbourhood, where her crew filmed abandoned chemicals and weaponry inside a local school.

A military source announced Wednesday morning that the army established full control over Tallet al-Naqqar al-Gharbyieh (hill) to the east of Trinja in the northern countryside of the southern Quneitra province after conducting special operations in the area.
The operations, which were carried out in cooperation with the popular defense groups during the past few hours, resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of their weapons and ammunition.

Syrian Army units killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on Tafas- al-Yadoudeh road and to the north of al-Bitar Farm in the countryside of the southern Daraa province.
An army unit also destroyed a hideout for terrorist groups, a number of vehicles and a monitoring center to the east of al-Kark prison in Daraa al- Balad area in Daraa province.

An army unit killed more than 10 terrorists affiliated to the so-called Tawhid al-Janoub Brigade and destroyed their den, vehicles and a fortified center for a machinegun fighter in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa province.
A military source said that terrorists Ziyad Jaber Aba Zaid, Fadi Bajbouj, Abu Dujana al-Abboud, Amer al-Falouji, Haitham Abu al-Oyoun al-Mahamid, Ahmad Abdel-Karim al-Masalmeh, Owis Qat’aneh, Abu al-Yaman, Abu al-Qayyas were identified among the dead. Five of the terrorists injured during the military operations targeted them were admitted to the Israeli hospitals.
The source added that another army unit targeted a terrorist group’s positions in al-Sad (Dam) road neighborhood and bombarded their infiltration axes east of Busra Square and al-Tulabiyeh Square in Daraa al-Mahata neighborhood.
The army bombardment resulted in killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their equipment, weapons and ammunition.

Ten Syrian civilians were killed Wednesday in airstrikes launched by the aircrafts of the US-led coalition on tents for displaced people who fled away from Daesh terrorist acts to the north of Raqqa city.
Local and media sources said aircrafts of the international US-led coalition bombed Wednesday evening tents for displaced people who escaped from Hazimah town in Maisaloun farm to the north of Raqqa city, claiming the lives of more than 10 civilians.

SAA sappers detonate mines planted by terrorists in Aleppo

While U.S. falsely accuses Syrian officials of attacks on civilians (not a word from the American side on the atrocities committed by their CIA’s supported terrorists) hundreds of mines and improvised explosive devices (IED) have been discovered by sappers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the recently liberated District 1070 of western Aleppo. ~ Muhammad, a bomb disposal expert from the Syrian Army, said on Tuesday that “every day, since the moment the Syrian Army entered and liberated this district we have found hundreds of mines”. He went on to show examples of some of the explosives, explaining that one was a “controlled mine – the most dangerous one used by militants to target infantry. It was found near the entrances of residential houses”.

Syrian Arab Army sappers blow up Daesh’ headquarters in Deir ez-Zor

Syrian Arab Army sappers detonated a bomb in a tunnel that was dug under a building in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor, where hundreds of Daesh terrorists (mercenaries of the self-proclaimed Islamic State, IS, ISIS, ISIL) had reportedly gathered.

National Defence Force leader (transcript from Arabic): “This road, the only road that leads to the Deir ez-Zor city, has been equipped with car bombs. Therefore we dug a tunnel and blew it up under their headquarters. IS fighters are definitely unable to access the area now. They believed they could achieve progress in Deir ez-Zor after their arrival from Mosul, we will prevent them .”

Syrian Army officer (transcript from Arabic): “We observed lately a large movement of IS fighters especially those coming from Iraq after the Mosul battle. Also we witnessed the entry of vehicles and new elements from IS most of them with strange accents like Shishani”.
