On December 1st 2014 combat duty began at the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, located in the building complex of the Defense Ministry on Frunze Embankment. Introduced a year ago, the structure is the successor to the Central command post of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The order for the establishment of the center was issued by President Vladimir Putin on the 10th of December 2013.

Based on available data, the National Center for Defense – It is a primarily info-analytical framework that can be used for the benefit of the Supreme Commander, General Staff and other units of the Ministry of Defense. The resources of the center may be utilized for a variety of purposes, ranging from the organization of celebrations and ending large-scale military operations.

The structure of the Center is not known. The General Staff revealed few details, that of a control center of the strategic nuclear forces, command and control, and the Center for the Control Center of daily activities, the remaining divisions are classified as “Secret”.

The Domestic supercomputer system has a storage capacity of 236 petabytes, performance of the machine is 16 petaflops, and information processing speed – enough to process 50 Lenin Libraries in a second. For comparison, the volume of the US computer hard disk 12 petabytes, and its capacity is up to 5 petaflops.

In the past three days, the Russian Air Forces have carried out over 300 sorties hitting 600 terrorist targets. All sorties were performed with the backing of Su-30 fighter jets.

The pro-government sources argue that tens of terrorists were killed in clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the militant groups along the Damscus-Homs highway on Tuesday. Thus, the Syrian forces expanded its control on the Eastern side of the Damascus-Homs highway in Harasta.

ISIS militants launched a full-scale offensive on the villages of Ayyash and Bgelia after the US-led ‘anti-ISIS’ coalition’s airstrikes against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in this area. On Sunday, the US-led ‘anti-ISIS’ coalition poundend the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the province of Deir Ezzor. 1 soldier was killed and half dozen others were wounded. According to the reports, the military camp belongs to the SAA’s 137th Artillery Brigade in the village of ‘Ayyash was a main target of the US warplanes.

The Kuwaiti al-Rai news website quoted an informed diplomat as saying that the US is attempting to gather the forces called by Washington as moderate opposition in one region to create a foothold for the militants’ further expansion in Syria. According to the report, US-supported militants have entered Southwestern Syria which shares borders with Jordan. The reports were rejected by Amman.

Analysis & Intelligence remembers when Russia started air raids on terrorists in Syria over two months ago, some 3,000 terrorists escaped through the border with Jordan. Earlier in May, US defense officials said that at least 400 US military military advicers were ready in Turkey and Jordan to start training of over 3,000 anti-Syria militants to join fight against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Over the past week [November 26- December 4], Russian aviation has carried out 431 sorties from the Hmeymim airbase and conducted strikes on 1,458 terrorist targets including command centers, training camps, ammunition depots, and strongholds. 12-fuel transfer stations ad 8 terrorist controlled oil fields were also destroyed.

Only in the past 48 hours, the Russian warplanes hit two truck convoys near Aleppo and Raqqa, destroying up to 40 terrorist vehicles modified to transport oil products.

The recent developments show significant changes in the strategy of the Western countries involved in the Syrian conflict. The US has sent ground forces, including special operations units, into the region. French Air Force has sharply increased the number of sorties, and France’s rapid-reaction troops and naval units are being moved closer to Syria.

In an exclusive interview with Aif.ru’s Ekaterina Larinina, the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko discussed why Donbass does not want to be part of the “Ukrainian chaos,” economic prospects of the republic, how the Donetsk People’s Republic began, and why the ceasefire is not respected and what is necessary for fulfilling the Minsk agreements.

Alexander Zakharchenko: ~ “A dream. I always dreamed of an independent, prosperous Donetsk state part of the Russian World. I think that many residents of our region also dreamed about this.

Ukrainian politicians understood what the people want, and they constantly promised us, in their election programs and populist slogans, integration with the Russian Federation, a state status for the Russian language, and increased self-government. They promised but always deceived.

The events of 2013-2014 served as a catalyst for the creation of the DPR. The coup in Kiev, the ascent of radical nationalists to power, the repression of all dissent, and the Odessa “Katyn” – all of these events clearly showed that it was impossible to keep on waiting for another deceitful politician to fulfill their promise and listen to the voice of Donbass. If we do not act against brown tyranny today, then it will destroy us tomorrow”.

Poroshenko says Minsk deal ‘pseudo-peace’, vows to fight to the last drop of blood

“We will fight to the last drop of blood,” Petro Poroshenko said in an interview to the German TV channel ZDF.

Poroshenko has been accusing Russia of invading his country since the start of the conflict by supporting rebel forces of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The claims are echoed by the US and other NATO powers, but to date no solid proof has been provided. Moscow denies the accusations.

Mr Poroshenko, for his own political purposes, probably to rally people in the western Ukraine, has decided to target Russia as the bad guy. It’s a very simplistic way of looking at things, but what’s even more simplistic is to expect the several million people that live in Lugansk and Donetsk to accept being placed under the rule of a country that’s killed and maimed tens of thousands of their people.

The crisis that is Ukraine has reached the boiling point, the point most sane people feared would arrive eventually.

The crucible that that country has become, it’s once again torn into shreds by familiar enemies of peace. We’ve arrived; the world that is, at the crossroads that may end up in total war.

News today from the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic, and from Reuters to the LA Times reads; “Arm Kiev.” Well, at least it appears newspaper owners or their reporters, or the governmental press offices one, are all in favor of pressuring Russia until a real war breaks out.

For make no mistake, backed far, far back into a geostrategic corner, we all know what the Russian bear will do. Sending arms to the Poroshenko government from America, may just be an act of insanity.

Donetsk ~ The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) forces has found ammunition used exclusively in NATO countries that the Ukrainian Army is not usually equipped with, Deputy Donetsk Militia Commander Eduard Basurin said Tuesday. ~ “These types of ammunition are designed for NATO countries. One of them [devices] is equipped with a base fuse. For instance, when this type of ammunition hits the wall, it blasts and destroys it [wall]. The Ukrainian forces do not have this type of ammunition,”

Mariupol ~ “Azov” battalion is the authority in Mariupol. Ukrainians as well as militiamen have nothing to do with the downed Boeing, as well as with the blown up bus and the shelling of Mariupol… All of the above mentioned are the deeds of international brigades of NATO’s foreign legion under the scandalous name of “Azov” according to true words of the Russian President. ~ Such battalions are also called territorial battalions… There are many of them. “Azov” is not the only one. ~ They do not fight for any idea, they earn money. It makes no difference to them who they are killing or blowing up. They are only paid for combat activities, and that is why they need to constantly murder someone, in order to report about the work done and receive their salary…

Ukrainian military speak out plainly: “We bombard our cities, we target civilians, as normal warfare tactic”

On the pro-regime Ukrainian TV station Hromandske TV — which is funded by the U.S. Government, the Dutch Government, and George Soros (via his International Renaissance Foundation or ‘Fund’) — is reported that the Ukrainian Government is specifically targeting civilians to die in the Donbass region in the former Ukraine’s southeast. It’s being done in order “to clean the cities.”

This is open acknowledgement that the operation, which the U.S. is financing (and Ukraine is bankrupt so it can never reimburse its donors), is actually an ethnic-cleansing campaign. Previously, on Hromadske TV, a proponent of doing just that (ethnic cleansing) was interviewed. He said: “If we take, for example, just the Donetsk oblast, there are approximately 4 million inhabitants, at least 1.5 million of which are superfluous. … Donbass must be exploited as a resource, which it is. … The most important thing that must be done — no matter how cruel it may sound — is that there is a certain category of people that must be exterminated.”

The actual reason why this southeast-Ukrainian ethnic-cleansing campaign is necessary for Obama, who installed the current regime in Ukraine, is that… … …

In other words: Obama needs to get rid of those people. They can die, or else they can flee to Russia, but Obama needs them gone from Ukraine.

Interfax quoted A V Zakharchenko, the Chairman of the DNR Government, as saying, “Fighting continues; we’re trying to link up with the LNR, to combine our forces”. On Русской весне (Russian Spring), Shurigin offered the following commentary on the military situation opened by the recent fighting in the Donbass, “According to the most comprehensive estimates, the bandits lost at least 350 killed and 900 wounded, and lost 40 tanks, 80 AF/MICVs and 100 guns and mortars. During the ten days of fighting, VSN casualties amounted to 150 killed and 400 wounded, losing 10 tanks and 30 artillery pieces and mortars”.

The junta command had to pull strategic reserves from the Slavyansk, Artyomovsk, and Lisichansk to prevent a breach in their lines and to keep the troops Debaltsevo pocket from being cut off.

On Saturday, 24 January, the VSN (Novorossiya Armed Forces) launched an offensive on all fronts. A V Zakharchenko, Chairman of the DNR Government, said, “Kiev isn’t aware that we can advance on three fronts simultaneously. There won’t be any more ceasefires. We’ll beat the so-called ‘punitive force’ and throw it beyond the borders of the DNR”. It didn’t take long for reality to bear out his words.

On Saturday morning, Vladislav Brig, Deputy of the DNR People’s Soviet and Deputy Chairman of the People’s Soviet Foreign Affairs Committee, confirmed that the VSN offensive went in three different directions, saying, “Today, the junta withdrew its troops from Dzerzhinsk”… … …
