Deir Ezzor

Syrian Arab Army units, backed by the army air force, destroyed gatherings and positions of Daesh (ISIL, ISIS, Islamic State terrorist organization) in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor City.
A Syrian military source said to Syrian News Agency reporters that the army air force carried out concentrated strikes against gatherings and positions of the ISIS in Talet Alloush at the southern axis of the city, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their vehicles.
In Deir Ezzor a Syrian army unit killed all members of an ISIS-affiliated terrorist group after they tried to attack a military post in the area of al-Maqaber “cemeteries”.
The Syrian army air force carried out a series of airstrikes that targeted positions, gatherings and fortifications of the ISIS terrorists in the areas of Talet Brouk, al-Kanamat crossing, al-Maqaber and Talet Alloush, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying a number of their vehicles.

Homs

A unit of the Syrian army foiled an attack by ISIS terrorists and killed them in the surroundings of al-Sikhnieh in Palmyra countryside.
The Army Air Force killed large number of the ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles to the southwest of al-Sikhnieh, and Khatamlou in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.

Hama 

The Syrian army air force destroyed gatherings and positions of the ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Hama central province.
The Syrian army air force targeted positions and vehicles of the ISIS terrorists in the villages of Jana al-Albawi, Abu Janayia, Salba and Abu Hubailat in the eastern countryside.
A number of the ISIS terrorists were killed in the airstrikes and a number of their machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed.

Raqqa

The Syrian Army Air Force carried out intensive airstrikes against positions and gatherings of the ISIS terrorists in the southern countryside of Raqqa province.
A Syrian military source said that the army air force targeted positions of the ISIS terrorists in the villages of al-Khamsiyia, Salem al-Hamad, al-Numaisa, al-Jaber and in Ma’adan city in the southern countryside.
The source indicated that heavy losses were inflicted upon the ISIS terrorists in the personnel and equipment and their positions and machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed.

Syrian Arab Army units, backed by the Air Force, launched intensive strikes against positions and supply routes of Daesh (ISIL, IS, ISIS) mercenary-terrorists in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor city.
Syrian News Agency reporters said that the Air Force and Artillery of the Syrian army carried out on Thursday intensive strikes on ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and movements in the surroundings of al-Banorama area , the airport, Wadi al-Thurdeh, the graveyards, Huweijet Sakr, al-Mrei’iyeh, Tallet Alloush and al-Bugheiliyeh village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, killing or injuring many of the terrorists, destroying fortified points, artillery emplacements for them and an car equipped with a machinegun.

A group of Deir Ezzor residents raised the Syrian flag at al-Halabiya roundabout, the northern entrance of Deir Ezzor city, according to local sources.

Local sources in al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province confirmed that clashes erupted between two ISIS terrorist groups in al-Maharem neighborhood in the city, leaving four terrorists dead, including the ape Omar al-Najim al-Gharb.

The Syrian army has re-established control over several villages and towns in the course of its continued “successful” operations in the Syrian Badia, a military source announced on Wednesday.
Those areas are Huweijet Shanan, al-Rahbi, al-Sabkheh, al-Jebli, al-Rabieh, al-Ziabiyeh, al-Mastaha, Shumra and Islam and al-Jaraie oil wells in the southern countryside of Raqqa province, according to the source, who added that the area that came under the army’s control is almost 30 km along southern bank of the Euphrates River.
The operations, which started on the 14 of last month, have so far resulted in the death of large numbers of Daesh (ISIL, IS, ISIS) mercenary-terrorists, while hundreds of others were injured……………………….

Syrian Govt Forces regain more Oil Wells in Raqqah countryside

The Syrian Army Tiger Forces and Tribal Forces have captured Qurat Rumailan, the Rumailan Dam, and 15 oil and gas wells 10km east of Dibisan in the southern Raqqah countryside.  Government troops have also captured the Dibisan 1 and Dibisan 2 pumping stations.

ISIS allegedly lost 7 VBIEDs, a battle tank, and four vehicles during the clashes.  At the same time the terrorist group headquarters in the vicinity of Al-Zemla was bombed by the Syrian Air Force.

July 21, 2017: Fierce Clashes Between Army And ISIS

An intense fighting is ongoing between government forces and ISIS (Daesh, ISIL, IS) terrorists in the area of the Homs-Palmyra highway and near the border with Iraq.

According to pro-government sources, 30 ISIS members were killed and over 50 were injured during clashes in the area of Humaymah near the border with Iraq. 2 Syrian soldiers were killed as a result of the ISIS attack at the Al-Musheirefah Hill in the eastern Homs countryside. At the same time, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies advanced north of the Homs-Palmyra road and captured the Al-Alam Hill south of Taliaa al-Gharbia.

Meanwhile, Russian airstrikes destroyed at least 3 ISIS vehicles in the area of Jub Al-Abied east of Salamiyah.

According to local sources, government forces are going to resume the operation in the eastern Hama countryside within few days. The SAA, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Desert Hawks Brigade still see the liberation of Uqayrabat as a key part of the wider effort against ISIS in central Syria. […Read More…]

A Syrian official at the country’s oil industry announced that the Syrian Army troops have liberated over 40 oil wells in their anti-ISIL (Daesh, ISIS, IS) operations in Raqqa province in the last 30 days.

Ali Ibrahim said that the army men have since early June freed over 40 fixed oil pumps that had been destroyed by the ISIL before started retreat in Raqqa province.

He further added that after defusing landmines planted by the ISIL and reconstruction of the damaged oil pumps, most of the oil wells will start working normally and oil extraction will start soon.

The army men, deployed in Western Raqqa, launched a fresh round of operation a couple of das ago to move towards the last stronghold of ISIL in Eastern Homs that resulted in the liberation of 40 oil wells.

The army troops’ recent advances towards al-Sukhnah region have narrowed down the terrorist group’s oil exports.

According to a source, as the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces alongside other pro-government fighters started anti-terrorism operation to take back the strategic town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs, the army soldiers managed to liberate half a dozen oil fields from ISIL militants which resulted in another major loss for the Takfiri terrorist group…………………………..

Over 20 civilians have been killed or injured in the US-led coalition air raids on in Raqqa province, local sources reported.

The sources reported that the US-led coalition warplanes carried out several combat flights over different neighborhoods of Raqqa city to back up the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), killing a child and injuring 12 others mostly women and children.

In the meantime, 8 civilians were killed and several more were wounded in another air raid of the fighter jets in Raqqa. 

Relevant reports said on Tuesday that over a dozen other Syrian civilians were killed in another US-led coalition air raid in areas near the border with Iraq.

“At least 12 civilians have reportedly been killed after US coalition fighter jets struck a number of targets in a village next to the Syrian-Iraqi border,” eyewitnesses disclosed.

According to the report, the US-led anti-ISIL coalition warplanes have launched a series of air raids in Hasaka province. In one of the strikes, the bombers struck Tel Hayr village near the Syrian-Iraqi border, killing 12 people, all belonging to one family………………

The U.S.-led coalition acknowledged the use of internationally banned white phosphorus munitions in Syria.

According to Russia’s Novosti news agency, the coalition claimed to use the white phosphorus for acts of camouflage, screening, obscuring and marking in an attempt to deny its crimes.

In its statement, the coalition referred to “cautious and rational measures taken to reduce the dangerous effects of white phosphorus on civilians and infrastructures.”

The Syrian Arab Army has reached the Iraqi border, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Russian ministry officers also accused the U.S. forces of hindering the Syrian war effort against terrorism by blocking SAA attacks against Daesh (ISIS) near the Syrian border with Iraq

While we don’t have a lot of details yet, here’s what we can say: this is a brilliant move if true. Not exactly a checkmate yet, but definitely a check on US ambitions in southern Syria.

In essence, as Americans were busy bombing small Syrian groups entering their declared exclusion zone via the main road, a separate Syrian force staged a lightning-quick advance through roadless desert, well to the east of the “deconfliction” zone enveloping the Americans.

If the U.S. forces are not cut off from ISIS they no longer have an excuse to continue occupying this part of Syria. (Or will they insist they get to leapfrog over the Syrian army?)

Russians are saying it will be them and the Syrians — rather than the Americans — who will be advancing along the Iraqi border towards al-Bukamal (the major border crossing in the Euphrates valley coveted by the Pentagon)

Russian officers also accused the US of hindering the Syrian war effort against ISIS, by blocking its military from opening a new front against the group: “The coalition air forces and the strongholds of the forces of New Syrian Army have blocked the way of the government forces, tasked with defeating IS groups.”

“This is a violation of the sovereign right of Syria to protect it borders.”

Apparently in sync with the Syrian army move south, Iraqi forces likewise advanced against ISIS from their side and met on the border. Thus Syria has not just reached the formal Iraqi border, but actually re-established an actual link to Iraq.

The arrival of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies at the Iraqi border and their control of vast swathes of the Syrian Badia form a strategic turning point in the war on terrorism, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said on Saturday.

“Units of the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with the allied forces, completed on Friday evening the first stage of the military operations in the Syrian Badia and were able to reach the border with the friendly Iraq northeast of al-Tanf,” the Command said in a statement.

The arrival at the border, the statement said, was achieved after controlling a large number of positions and strategic points inside the Badia over 20 square kilometers since operations first started south and east of Palmyra, where hundreds of ISIS (Daesh, ISIL, IS) mercenary-terrorists were killed.

“This achievement is a strategic turning point in the war on terrorism and a springboard to expand military operations in the Badia and along the border with the friendly Iraq,” added the statement………………..

Syrian Arab Army units reached the Syrian-Iraqi borders northeast of al-Tanf in the depths of the Badiya desert, a military source told to Syrian News Agency’s reporters from the battlefield.

The source said that Syrian army units, in cooperation with allies, continued their successful military operations in the Badiya desert, and managed on Friday afternoon to reach the Syrian-Iraqi borders northeast of al-Tanf and established positions in the area after eliminating all remaining pockets of ISIS terrorists in that direction.

Back on June 6th and May 18th before that, the US-led international coalition attacked advanced Syrian Arab Army positions on al-Tanf road in the eastern countryside of Homs province in an attempt to prevent the army from reaching the borders.

A military source said that the so-called international coalition carried out at 17:40 on Tuesday an attack on a Syrian Arab Army position on al-Tanf road in al-Shahima area in the eastern countryside of Homs province, which claimed a number of lives and caused material damage.

In a statement to the Syrian News Agency the source said that this aggression confirms once again that the coalition’s support for terrorism at a time when the Syrian Arab Army and its allies make daily progress in fighting Daash (ISIS, ISIL, IS…) mercenary-terrorists.

The source said that the General Command of the Syrian Army and Syrian Armed Forces warn against the risks of this escalations and its ramifications, calling on this so-called international coalition to not carry out such aggressive actions under any pretext.

The source went on to affirm that the Syrian Arab Army and its allies are determined to continue fighting terrorist organizations, primarily ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, and pursue them across Syrian territory.

Back on May 18th, the US-led coalition’s aircrafts attacked a Syrian Arab Army position on al-Tanf road in the Badiya desert, claiming a number of lives and causing material damage…

The U.S.-led coalition committed a new massacre against civilians to the southeast of Deir Ezzor city, leaving 35 people dead.

The air raids was launched on Thursday evening.

Identical local and media sources said that explosions rocked the city of al-Mayadeen in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province after warplanes of the US-led coalition shelled the area yesterday in the evening.

The sources affirmed that 35 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in the airstrikes, noting that the raids targeted the city’s market and a 4-floor building that was completely destroyed.

Scores of people were also injured in the coalition’s shelling attack.

The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Saturday called for once again for the cessation of the US-led international coalition’s illegal actions, after the coalition’s warplanes targeted al-Mayadeen city in Deir Ezzor countryside which claimed the lives of 35 civilians.

In two letters sent by the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry to the UN Secretary General and the President of Security Council, the Ministry said that the illegal US-led coalition warplanes shelled on Friday the city of al-Mayadeen in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province, killing 35 civilians, the majority of whom were women and children, in addition to injuring scores of people…………..

Footage emerged on Saturday of Iraqi pro-government fighters using anti-aircraft weaponry to shoot at US-led coalition jet near al-Tanf border crossing in Southeastern Homs, media sources reported.

An amateur video released by a fighter of the Badr Movement, an Iraqi contingent, showed that the Iraqi pro-government forces opened heavy fire at the coalition’s fighter jet.

The Badr Movement operates alongside the Syrian Army, Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), 313 Forces (Syrian militia), the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, Harakat al-Abdal (Iraqi paramilitary), Kata’ib al-Imam Ali (Iraqi paramilitary), Kata’ib Hezbollah (Iraqi paramilitary) along the Damascus-Baghdad highway.

A report said on Friday that the Syrian Army sent a large number of fresh forces to the Damascus-Baghdad highway in the Southern part of the country to reinforce contingents bombed by the United States Air Forces.

Hundreds of the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi fighters have also poured into the Southeastern countryside of Damascus in the last ten days, taking up positions alongside the Syrian Army troops and their allies.

The AMN reported that the Iraqi fighters, comprised of forces from the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Shaabi), greatly outnumber the Hezbollah forces in Southern Syria.

It added that similar to Hezbollah’s field operations along the Lebanese border since 2013, the Iraqi paramilitaries are poised to not only secure the Baghdad-Damascus Highway, but also, seal the border to the terrorists………………………….
