President Bashar al-Assad said that the war fought today by our people is not only against the terrorists, but also against those who sponsor terrorism.

Terrorism is only an instrument used by the Western states which want to apply the same Nazi mentality which aims at dominating everyone else and turning states and nations into slaves, turning them into satellites and controlling everything they have, materially and morally.

The President added in an interview given to BELARUS’ ONT channel that the Russian initiative on de-escalation zones is correct in principle.

On the night of 24 April 1915 the Turkish government arrested hundreds of Armenian community leaders, between the most prominent public figures of the Armenian community in Constantinople [today known as Istanbul]: they were transferred to Anatolia’s prisons, where most of them were executed.

In 1915, there were 2 million Armenians living in the declining Ottoman Empire. But under the cover of World War I, the Turkish government systematically destroyed 1.5 million people in attempts to unify all of the Turkish people by creating a new empire with one language and one religion.

This ethnic cleaning of Armenians, and other minorities, including Assyrians, Pontian and Anatolian Greeks, is today known as the Armenian Genocide.

Despite pressure from Armenians and activists worldwide, Turkey still refuses to acknowledge the genocide, claiming that there was no premeditation on the deaths of the Armenians. But the history and the evidence shows us otherwise…

The clashes have been resumed in the sectors of Peski, Spartak, Avdeevka, Putilovka and Yasinovatskiy checkpoint. The intensity of clashes is high. DPR armed forces are holding positions and exercising counter-fire there.

An attempt of pro-Kiev militants to pent into Gorlovka was failed yesterday and they started hard artillery shelling against the town. As result of the shelling, a woman was killed and three civilians were wounded: a 15-years-old girl, 60-years-old man and woman. The shelling destroyed two residential houses and power supply in the town yet. Also three Novorossian warriors were killed and four wounded there.

Local clashes have been going around Stannica Luganskaya and Schastie.
According to reports, pro-Kiev forces lost 3 militants killed, 26 injured, 1 battle tank, 1 armored personnel carrier, 3 battery of mortars and howitzers, 7 units of automotive equipment over last 24 hours. In turn, Novorossian forces lost 29 warriors injured, 1 combat reconnaissance patrol vehicle and 3 units of automotive equipment.

Ukrainian forces are preparing for the advance at Lugansk People’s Republic. They have been concentrating troops and military equipment in the sector of the river “Severskiy Donec”. The sector is an assumed foothold for the future advance.

Meanwhile, Kiev military are continuing to shell Gorlovka from the directions of Dzerjinsk and Mayorsk. The firefights are going in the sector of Maryinka around Donetsk. Denis Pushilin stated that the management had decided to consider the DNI village Shirokino demilitarized zone.

The Global Forum “Against the Crime of Genocide” was held in the Armenian capital Yerevan commemorating the Centennial of the well-known genocide, which is marked on April 24 every year.

“Any crime against humans must be condemned and rejected whoever the perpetrator, and how if that crime was a genocide in which more than a million and a half of the brotherly Armenian people were killed,” al-Laham told the forum.

CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

Footages showed how the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen targets the civilians and the residential areas, committing massacres.

Dozens have been killed or injured of Yemenis since a coalition of 10 countries, led by Saudi Arabia, launched late Wednesday a wide military offensive on Yemen, causing also so much destruction.

Media outlets reported that Saudi Arabia has deployed “100 fighter jets, 150,000 soldiers and other navy units” for the military campaign against Yemen. It also sent 5000 takfiri terrorists to fight against the Yemeni army.

Saudi Arabia is known for training and funding takfiri groups and sending them to the conflict-hit zones in the Arab and Muslim world, including Syria, Afghanistan and now in Yemen.

Reports that US and British aircraft carrying arms to the Islamic State group – better known as ISIS – have been shot down by Iraqi forces have been met with shock and denial in western countries. Few in the Middle East doubt that Washington is playing a ‘double game’ with its proxy armies in Syria, but some key myths remain important amongst the significantly more ignorant Western audiences.

A central myth is that Washington now arms ‘moderate Syrian rebels’, to both overthrow the Syrian Government and supposedly defeat the ‘extremist rebels’. This claim became more important in 2014, when the rationale of US aggression against Syria shifted from ‘humanitarian intervention’ to a renewal of Bush’s ‘war on terror’.

While there have been claims that the ISIS ‘caliph’ al-Baghdadi is a CIA or Mossad trained agent, these have not yet been well backed up. There are certainly grounds for suspicion, but independent evidence is important, in the context of a supposed US ‘war’ against ISIS.

Damascus countryside ~ A military source said that the Army discovered a tunnel of 160 length and 7 m depth that extends from Harasta-Joubar road into the Governorate building in Damascus countryside.

Units of the Syrian Army and the Armed Forces intensified operations against terrorist organizations’ positions across the country, targeting many of their dens and destroying their equipment, including a convoy of vehicles equipped with heavy weapons.

An army unit eliminated dozens of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra and the Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement terrorist groups, including two Saudis and a Libyan, near the town of al-Baraghiti on the road between Saraqeb and Abu al-Duhour in Idleb countryside.

Other army units eliminated a number of terrorists, injured others, and destroyed their vehicles near Abu al-Duhour, al-Akrad Mountain, Qastoun, al-Luj, Taoum, Jidar Bakfaloun, al-Rami, Nahlia, and around al-Arbaeen Mountain.

Syrians of the occupied Golan reaffirm commitment to motherland, Zionist annexing “null and void”

On the 33rd anniversary of the Israeli ominous decision, people of Golan affirmed, in a statement, their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity, asserting that the Israeli decision is “illegal and not worth the ink it is written with.”

They expressed rejection of the Israeli attempt to divide the Golan and to sow sedition among its people, asserting that the Zionist entity is working on supporting terrorists and paving the way for them to target the Syrian Arab Army and to establish buffer zone on the land of the Golan with the aim of usurping it from the homeland.

Chairman of the SSNP Qunietra branch Mahmoud Bakkar said ..the Israeli enemy continues its aggression against the people in the occupied Golan to undermine the will of the Syrians, yet their cultural and historical image can’t be abolished through conspiracies, rockets and shells.
