“Negotiations with Russia on joining the Eurasian Union and customs-free zone are being held. We see this as a benefit and strengthening the relations with friendly states, which will facilitate economic and trade cooperation with them,” said Halqi in an interview with RIA Novosti Tuesday.

Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi said that terrorist gangs are dismantling factories and stealing public and private properties in Idleb province and smuggling them to Turkey.
Al-Halaqi demanded Erdogan’s government to return these stolen properties and cease such criminal activities.

President Bashar al-Assad said the Syrian and Armenian people face the same challenges and dangers.
The President’s remarks came during a meeting on Thursday with the visiting delegation of the Armenian-Syrian Friendship Association at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, headed by the Association’s President Tachat Vardapetyan.
Drawing parallels between the dangers facing the people of Syria and Armenia, the President said the Ottomans who committed massacres against the Armenian people a hundred years ago are today, represented by Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government, using the same tools, mainly terrorism, against the Syrian people.
Vardapetyan, for his part, stressed that the Armenian people stand by the side of the people of Syria in the face of the regionally-backed terrorist war waged on them, voicing confidence that Syria will get over this war and rout terrorism and its backers.

Tehran, 17/12/2014 – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Tuesday met President of Iran Hassan Rouhani, relaying to him a message from President Bashar al-Assad on the development of bilateral relations and expanding them to cover new fields in a manner serving the interests of the two countries and their people.
The message also touched on the two countries’ joint will to confront the plots concocted by the U.S., Israel, the West, and their pawns in the region which provide material, moral, and military support to terrorist organizations.
During the meeting, President Rouhani expressed thanks for the message and the sentiments it contained for the Iranian leadership and people, asserting that Iran will continue to stand alongside the Syrian people in the face of terrorism and help bolster their steadfastness which is born of their solidarity with their army and leadership.
