More death and destruction in Syria, as the U.S.-led coalition carries out yet another airstrike in the city of Dayr al-Zawr. According to Syrian media, the strike which happened in the government-held district of Qusur left at least 14 civilians dead and dozens more injured. The U.S.-led coalition carries out regular air raids in Syria under the pretext of targeting Daesh terrorists. However, there are many reports of large civilian casualties on the ground. The strikes lack authorization from both the Syrian government and the United Nations.
Moscow: “Leveled like Dresden’: Raqqa aid haste hints at cover up of ‘barbaric destruction”.
What the US-led coalition did to Syria’s Raqqa is comparable to the infamous Allied bombing of Dresden in 1945, the Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, adding that the allies may be rushing to pour money into Raqqa to cover up the aftermath.
Raqqa, which has served as the Syrian stronghold of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) since January 2014, was seized by the US-backed group Syrian Democratic Forces earlier this week.
Some 80 percent of residential buildings in the city are estimated to have been rendered uninhabitable during the fighting, which involved massive bombardment by the US-led coalition’s airstrikes and artillery shelling.
“Raqqa’s fate calls to mind that of Dresden in 1945, leveled by the US-British bombings,” Konashenkov added, referring to the controversial campaign reaching a peak in February 1945, during which American and British bombers dropped over 3,900 tons of bombs on the Nazi-controlled German city, killing some 25,000 civilians and destroying much of its center… … …
Al-Nusra Front [foreign-backed] mercenary-terrorists evacuated from Arsal [after being defeated by Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah] are welcomed by the Hollywood’ Stars and NATO-supported White Helmets.
The Russian Defense Ministry “has questions” about the sudden move of the anti-Daesh coalition to help civilians in Raqqa.
“[The only explanation of this] is an aspiration to quickly cover up the tracks of the barbaric bombings of the United States and the coalition’s aircraft that have buried thousands of civilians liberated from the Islamic State [Daesh] under the ruins of Raqqa,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman said.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov called the urgent intention of the US-led coalition members to allocate financial aid to the Syrian Raqqa suspicious amid repeated refusals to deliver humanitarian aid to the Syrians affected by the civil war.
“Raqqa has not managed to cool down after bombings of the international coalition and the high-ranking officials from Washington, Paris and Berlin have started making statements about the urgent allocation of tens of millions dollars and euros to Raqqa. These millions should allegedly help to restore peaceful life in the city. We welcome such generosity, but we have questions,” Konashenkov said Sunday.
According to the official, over the past two years, Russia has repeatedly asked the United States and European nations to send humanitarian aid to the Syrians affected by war, and has also prepared a list of settlements, where this assistance is needed most of all, without dividing Syrians into “bad” and “good” ones. However, the response was always negative, Konashenkov added.
“[The only explanation of this] is an aspiration to quickly cover up the tracks of the barbaric bombings by the United States and the coalition’s aircraft that have buried thousands of civilians liberated from the Islamic State [Daesh] terrorist group under the ruins of Raqqa,” Konashenkov added.
There is dangerous news evolving from Raqqa, Syria. While ISIS is largely defeated seeds get sown for its reappearance.
The Kurdish forces under the label SDF and led by U.S. special forces have defeated ISIS in Raqqa. Cleanup operations continue. The victory came only after the the U.S. and its proxies agreed to give free passage to the last few hundreds of foreign and Syrian ISIS fighters and their families. Since these boarded buses and were moved out of Raqqa on Saturday night nothing has been heard of them.
On Monday the U.S. coordinator for the fight against ISIS, Brett McGurk, brought an unwelcome visitor to Syria.
Brett McGurk visited Ayn Issa today with the Saudi minister Thamer al-Sabhan (former Ambassador to Iraq) & joined 3 different meetings.
First meeting was with the local council of #Raqqa then with reconstruction committee at the least they met with elders of Raqqa.
Thamer al-Sabhan is the Saudi Minister for Gulf Affairs. He is known to be extremely sectarian and anti-Shia… … …
A GREAT LOSS FOR EVERYONE IN THE WORLD, NOT JUST FOR THE SYRIANS.
The general, familiarly called “the General”, was a great fighter and patriot, always at the head of his soldiers, who would follow him to hell if necessary, in the fighting against the mercenary-terrorist gangs armed by USA-Israel and their puppets.
You will remain always in our hearts and in our minds, as an example of man and fighter. R.I.P.

S.A.A & Allies Controls Salhiyah and Maret Fouqani in East Shore of Euphrates in Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Ministry of Defense released scenes of the Syrian Arab Army’s and allied forces controls over the Towns of Salhiyyah and Maret Fouqani along the Eastern shore of the Euphrates River in Deir ezzor, and the expulsion of Isis-Terrorists… Over the last week, the Syrian Arab Army’s troops had been rolling up the Eastern Euphrates shore directly opposite the Deir ezzor city, liberating a sting of Towns and villages from Isis militants in the process… Whilst Isis counterattacks towards these Towns poses the most immediate and obvious danger, Syrian Arab Army’s troops also need to prepare for a possible dust up with Kurdish-led forces located to the Northeast of their current positions…
The United States is losing ground, both in Syria and Iraq, and it wants to hold on to whatever it can in order to enter into negotiations later on, Jamal Wakeem, international relations professor, Lebanese University, told RT.
Syrian troops on Saturday liberated the city of Al-Mayadeen in Deir ez-Zor province from ISIS, according to the Russian defense ministry.
The tactic used by the US forces – whether in Syria or in Iraq – is to cause as much damage as possible to make the cities that get liberated from ISIS hard to rebuild and to reconstruct.
At the same time, they want to turn the issue of the civilians and their needs as a mean to obstruct further advances of the Syrian army – especially that the US is losing ground, both in Syria and Iraq, and it wants to hold on to whatever it could in order to enter into negotiations later on… … …
An enormous arsenal of various weapons and production facilities, plus a fleet of explosive-laden and armored vehicles has been discovered inside the recaptured Islamic State stronghold in Deir ez-Zor province, RT reports from the Al-Mayadeen frontline.
Following in the footsteps of the Tiger Forces, commanded by Syrian Army Brigadier General Suheil Salman al-Hassan, nicknamed ‘The Tiger’, an RT Arabic crew managed to film a number of warehouses full of weapons that Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) hastily abandoned, fleeing the city to the eastern side of the Euphrates River.
“Weapons warehouses here were simply huge. I’m just shocked by the amount of weapons I saw,” Syrian Army Lt. Col. Rahmi Mauwas told RT at the battlefront. “There are hundreds and even thousands of weapons and ammunition of various kinds.”
Besides weapons allegedly produced by the US, Israel and elsewhere across the Middle East, the Syrian forces said they discovered that the terrorists also organized its own weapon production in the city. Various types of logistics equipment were also left behind by the fleeing terrorists…(read more)…
Locals in Al-Mayadeen have spoken of the horror of living with Islamic State after the terror group was routed from one of its last strongholds by Syrian and allied forces.
Footage shot on Sunday showed the city in ruins with huge caches of weapons left behind by feeling IS fighters.
Locals spoke of being thrown in jail for smoking one cigarette, having beard stubble or not wearing the correct clothing.
SOT, local resident (Arabic): “Nobody wanted to cooperate with ISIS. I had six days in prison for smoking one cigarette. This happened because they saw me smoking or smelled tobacco on me. For this reason they imprisoned me for 6 days. They had such organisation, like a morality police called ‘Hysba.’ They were imprisoning even for removing stubble from a face, let alone a beard! Not a beard, just single hairs of bristle. You’re not allowed to shave this part. Beards should grow in natural way.”
SOT, Reporter (Arabic):“How many times you’ve been arrested for your beard?”
SOT, local resident (Arabic):“Four times. Four times I’ve been arrested for my beard. Not because it doesn’t grow, but because it should grow. They arrested me, then whipped me, tortured me and gave me spoiled food.”
SOT, local resident (Arabic):“I was imprisoned twice because of the beard, and once because of the fact that I had pants on me, not a jalabiya [a long men’s shirt].”
SOT, local resident (Arabic):“ISIS militants took ten houses which belonged to my brothers. They’d been confiscating them. They just took our houses and lived inside them.”
SOT, military officer (Arabic): “We’ve searched the whole area, which was the main military depot of ISIS, it has underground tunnels and was full of weapons.”
Evidence continues to emerge that the US military forces in Syria and Iraq are cooperating with the Daesh terrorist group
According to Iranian, Syrian and Russian military officials, the US support to terrorists undermine the efforts to end the war in Syria and Iraq.
Former diplomat and political analyst: “There is a high probability that the US military forces are cooperating with Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) on the ground in Syria and Iraq”.
“The documents and videos available on the Internet, as well as the actions of American helicopters aimed at evacuating injured [terrorists] and the relocation of Daesh commanders, prove [this collaboration]. The US has even gone further and instructs other countries how to act in order not to harm Daesh: Otherwise, they themselves may become the target of American aircraft”… … …
A commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the United States has airdropped weapons and food supplies to Daesh in Iraq and Syria as the Takfiri terrorist group was facing defeat.
The second-in-command of the IRGC’s Ground Force, Brigadier General Abdullah Araqi, said on Wednesday that the US had provided logistic support to Daesh in the Syrian province of Dayr al-Zawr and the Iraqi provinces of Diyala, Nineveh and Salahuddin.
The secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah says the United States does not want Daesh Takfiri group to be destroyed and is providing Takfiri terrorists with assistance through its bases in Syria.
“It is only the United States, which does not let Daesh be totally annihilated,” Nasrallah said in his speech.
“US Air Force does not allow the Syrian army and resistance groups to advance toward positions occupied by Daesh,” he added… … …

DAESH UNDERGROUND TUNNEL DISCOVERED IN EAST HAMA
A network of underground tunnels used by Daesh (the so-called ISIS, ISIL, IS) terror group was discovered in a retaken village on the Eastern outskirts of Salamiyah in Hama province… The Isis extremist group used the underground tunnels to shelter from the Airstrikes and move from building to building… One of the tunnel has an area of 50 square metres (538,19 square feet), as well as five rooms for meeting and training… The battle to retake the entirety of the Syria’s Hama province from the so-called Islamic state terror group is ongoing…
RESTORATION OF THE ENTIRE AREA SOUTH-EASTERN DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE AN AREA OF 8.000 K.M²
The Syrian Arab Army’s troops launched a large offensive this summer to clear much of the Jordanian border that was under the control of the Free Syrian Army and their Allies… Within four months of launching this large-scale offensive, the Syrian Arab Army’s troops managed to capture more than 8.000 square kilometres of territory between Damascus and Al-Sweida Governorates of Southern Syria… As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army sealed the entire Damascus-Jordanian border marking the first time in years that they have possessed control over this large patch of land in Southern Syria… With this area sealed the Syrian Arab Army will turn their attention to the Homs-Iraq border where the US coalition forces are currently in control of the strategic Tanf Mountains…
Late on October 12, the Turkish Army started deploying troops and vehicles in Syria’s Idlib province. According to reports, at least 30 Turkish vehicles entered Idlib via the Atme border crossing and deployed in an area between it and Darat Izza town.
Some sources speculated that the deployment was coordinated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) that is the most powerful group in the militant-held Idlib province. However, this has not been confirmed by any evidence so far.
It’s interesting that the area of deployment allows Turkish forces to operate against both radicals Islamists in Idlib province and Kurdish militias in northern Aleppo.
Earlier, Turkish National Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli once again repeated that Ankara believes that weapons supplied to Kurdish-dominated US-backed forces in Syria will be used against Turkey.
In Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) liberated Kusham Fawqani village and consolidated its gains north of Deir Ezzor. This allows to develop operations further in order to liberate Deir Ezzor city.
At the same time, government forces, led by the SAA Tiger Forces, further outflanked al-Maydin city and de-facto encircled it, according to pro-government sources. Clashes are ongoing in the urban area… … …

The Russian Defense Ministry has raised the issue of some 300 Daesh terrorists on pickup trucks infiltrating a US-controlled zone in Syria’s al-Tanf region.
The Russian Defense Ministry has urged “the US side to explain its selective blindness regarding militants” operating near US forces in Syria.
The ministry’s spokesman said the 300 Daesh militants had tried to block a strategically important road linking Damascus and Deir ez-Zor, which is used for delivering humanitarian aid to civilians and supplies for the Syrian Army.
Aid for Militants: U.S. to Be Responsible for Sabotage of Peace Process in Syria
Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that the truce in the southern de-escalation zone in Syria could be undermined after the relocation of 600 militants and two convoys with medical aid into the area.
“Considering such significant reinforcements in terms of manpower, medicine and food, with tacit US approval, one does not have to be an expert to forecast an attempt to derail the truce in the southern de-escalation zone,” he said.
U.S. Actions in Syria Look Like an Attempt to Split the Country… … …
The U.S.-led coalition against the internationally condemned terrorist group Daesh is acting in Syria like it is trying to destroy the country and prolong the armed conflict there.
Thousands of Syrian women and children have been killed by coalition airstrikes in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor.
The U.S.-coalition has so far confirmed that 735 civilians have been killed by “unintentional” airstrikes in Syria and Iraq, adding that 350 more reports of civilian casualties are currently under review.
On Monday, the Syrian Defense Ministry released footage of the arms confiscated from different terrorist organizations, including Daesh (ISIS) and rebranded al-Nusra Front, along with the report, where it said that most of the weapons had been manufactured in the U.S. or by its allies.
After the liberation of east Aleppo and areas in the provinces of Homs, Hama, Aleppo, and Deir ez-Zzor, the terrorists of these two organizations also left behind weapons made in Bulgaria and Eastern European countries, apparently bought and delivered by the U.S.. The Ministry pointed out that the discovery suggests that the US has been applying the very same pattern it used in Afghanistan in the 1980s, when the U.S. and Saudi Arabia sent weapons to Pakistani intelligence, which ended up with al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
Among the confiscated weapons were Soviet-made guns which were likely exported to the states of the Warsaw Pact in the past and were later purchased from these states.
The munitions are the transported by both sea and air from Europe to Turkey, Jordan and Kuwait. They are then distributed to U.S. allies in northern and southern Syria by planes and trucks… … …
The Syrian Arab Army, backed by Russian air cover, is advancing against the mercenary-terrorist gangs of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) in the province of Deir-ez Zor. The terrorists are fighting to retain their last strongholds in the region. The newly-liberated village of Hatla, in the province of Deir-ez Zor, witnessed a particularly brutal battle.
While travelling with the Syrian army, RT exclusively witnessed first-hand how combing a liberated village can turn into a fierce fire-fight with Daesh.
Over the past week, Russian jets have intensified their sorties, conducting up to 150 surgical strikes against terrorist convoys coming into Syria from Iraq, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
RT’s Murad Gazdiev managed to get first-hand experience of the fighting as he accompanied the Syrian military across the only bridge over the Euphrates river in the area – straight to the frontline in Hatla village in Deir-ez Zor province. Gazdiev was standing just 500 meters from IS positions when the terrorists launched their assault, which started with an engine roar leading to fire from guns and heavier weapons…(read more)…
The Russian Defense Ministry has accused the US-led international coalition of “simulating” the fight against ISIS in Iraq. The coalition conducted fewer airstrikes in Iraq in September while well-armed terrorists crossed into Syria, Moscow added.
For the past week, the focus of the Russian-led air campaign in Syria has been to annihilate terrorists in the city of Al-Mayadeen, one of the terrorists’ last strongholds southeast of the city of Deir ez-Zor.
Despite being almost encircled by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Al-Mayadeen, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists continue to replenish their ranks and supplies in the Euphrates Valley, where the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are conducting their own operation against terrorists in the resource-rich region of Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to last week’s estimates the Syrian military, with Russian air support, had liberated over 90 percent of Syria from IS forces.
Stressing that no one really doubts the inevitable defeat of IS terrorism in Deir ez-Zor, the Defense Ministry on Tuesday has questioned the US-led coalition’s anti-terrorist effort in Iraq.
“The ongoing fueling of terrorists from Iraq raises serious questions about the real objectives of anti-terrorist operations conducted in the region by the US and the so-called ‘international coalition’ jets,” the ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, noted in Tuesday’s statement… … …

Gen. Ali Al Ali, chief of the main operational directorate of the Syrian Arab Army, accused the U.S. of supplying weapons to terrorists bought under the Pentagon’s program of assistance to ‘U.S. allies’.
The United States is supplying weapons to terrorists in Syria, not the opposition, Gen. Ali Al Ali, chief of the main operational directorate of the Syrian army, told reporters during a demonstration of weapons seized from militants.
“We know that the United States delivered 1,421 trucks with military equipment and weapons between June 5 and September 15 this year to terrorists in Syria. The weapons were allegedly intended to fight terrorists, but eventually they fell into the hands of militants of the Islamic State [Daesh] and Jabhat al-Nusra [terrorist groups banned in Russia],” Ali said.
He said Syrian radicals were getting weapons bought under the Pentagon’s program of assistance to US allies.
Another Syrian army serviceman Walid Khali told reporters during a demonstration of weapons seized from terrorists that militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group, who attacked the observation post of the Russian military police in Syria on September 18, carried over 100 items of small arms and hand-held grenade launchers made in the United States, Belgium and France.
Hezbollah chief says U.S. is helping Daesh [VIDEO]
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said U.S. jets support the terrorists by preventing resistance forces from advancing on Daesh hideouts in Syria… … …
The Hezbollah (“Party of God”) movement was formed in 1982 in Lebanon by a segment of the Shia community displeased with the secular, in their view, nature of the Amal moderate Shia party. There were also disagreements concerning whether Israel should be confronted using new organizational forms and methods of warfare. According to its Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, since its formation, Hezbollah was a purely intra-Lebanese creation, relying on the support and aid from the Palestinian and Lebanese parties, while the support from Iran and Syria came later.
Hezbollah leadership reviewed its concept of operations after the start of the Syria war. Before the war, the emphasis was placed on defensive ops in built-up areas with small units to inflict maximum troop and equipment losses on the IDF while simultaneously shelling Israel using large numbers of short- and medium-range rockets.
In Syria, Hezbollah realized that it had to wage offensive ops in cities. Therefore it reconsidered its training system, increased its rocket arsenal, and provided more heavy weapons and recon systems.
The first operation where Hezbollah took offensive using large units was the battle for el-Quseyr in May-June 2013. Some 1200-1700 best-trained Hezbollah troops took part in the battle. They were divided into 17 detachments, with later division into teams of 3-5 troops. Prior to the attack, the command performed recon of the city and its approaches, then divided the city into 16 sectors, one for each detachment. Each region had its codename… … …
Syrian government forces have liberated the villages of Aksh, Jaberiyah, Wadhihi and Nashimi and divided the ISIS-held pocket in eastern Salamiyah into two separate parts. Now, the army and its allies are able to defeat the remaining ISIS units one by one.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq released a video showing “two Russians” that ISIS had allegedly captured in late September during clashes near the village of al-Shulah located on the Palmyra-Deir Ezzor highway.
After over 6 years of war in Syria, Israel has found that something is not going along with their vision of the situation.
On Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman gave an interview to Israel’s Walla news site calling on the United States to contribute more effort to the war torn country where President Bashar Assad “is winning”.
“I see a long international queue lining up to woo Assad, including Western nations, including moderate Sunnis. Suddenly everyone wants to get close to Assad. This is unprecedented. Because Assad is winning, everyone is standing in line”, the minister said adding that Israel is now “faced with the Russians, Iranians, and also the Turks and Hezbollah. The public does not know everything and it’s a good thing, but it’s an investment and an effort 24 hours a day, seven days a week”.
This week, Daesh mercenary-terrorists (the so called ‘Islamic State’, ISIS, ISIL) made a desperate attempt to block the road from Palmyra to Deir-ez-Zor, cutting off the main supply route of the Syrian army.
At some point they even succeeded, but later the attack was repulsed.
The leader of Al-Nusra has been critically injured in an airstrike carried out by the Russian Air Force, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, adding that at least 12 Al-Nusra field commanders had been killed in the same attack.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces have critically wounded HTS leader and former Al Nusra Front ’emir’ Abu Mohammad al-Julani in Syria.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces have critically wounded HTS leader and former Al Nusra Front ’emir’ Abu Mohammad al-Julani in Syria, and killed 12 field commanders of the terrorist group which controls Idlib Governorate.
“As a result of the strike, Jabhat al-Nusra leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani received multiple heavy fragmentation wounds and, having lost his hand, is in critical condition, according to several independent sources,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Wednesday.
“Along with numerous (about 50) security guards, 12 field commanders of Jabhat al-Nusra, including the closest aide of Julani, were also killed,” he added.
The al-Nusra Front changed its name and merged with other Syrian terrorist groups to create Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS); however, the Russian Defense Ministry continues to use the group’s original name… … …
Residents of Ein Issa camp, who have fled US-led coalition strikes on Raqqa, spoke out about their ordeal, on Monday. “We ran from death and fear”, one of the residents, Abu Mohammad, said. Another camp resident described it as “more than a massacre” claiming that only “10 percent [of coalition strikes] were hitting targets and the rest were hitting civilians”, before adding that it was “unimaginable”.
Over the past two days, Russia has taken out some 304 Daesh mercenary-terrorists (the so called ‘Islamic State’, ISIS, ISIL) on the eastern bank of the Euphrates, in Syria.
More than 170 terrorists were injured, Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.
“Three command posts, nine footholds, eight tanks, three artillery pieces, 17 SUVs with installed large-caliber weapons, and four ammunition depots have been destroyed”, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
At least 7 field commanders of various levels have been killed, including Abu Islam Al-Kazaki, a native of Kazakhstan who coordinated the actions of IS assault units in the Euphrates valley.
An air strike by Russian forces destroyed the center for assembly and training of foreign mercenaries from Islamic State, including about 40 militants from the North Caucasus, as well as a terrorist mobile sniper group.
Syrian Arab Army troops continued to hit Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) defense lines in Eastern Homs and tightened noose on terrorists after capturing two more regions.
Syrian army units captured Um Tin al-Ma’alaqa and al-Nabibitiyeh 50km East of Homs and several hills and positions in areas surrounding the freed regions.
Syrian army soldiers started carrying out mop-up operation in the regions and fortified their positions.

Having realized that they lost in Syria the U.S. has shifted to “Plan B” to maintain control over the oil-rich regions of the country, military analyst The Saker told Sputnik. The Russo-Syrian advance in Deir ez-Zor has endangered the US plan, prompting the Pentagon to target the Syrian Arab Army and Russian military personnel on the ground.
The U.S has lost the war in Syria, The Saker, a top level European military analyst, told Sputnik, suggesting that the Americans have opted for a different strategy, which envisages the partition of Syria.
The US is trying to maintain control “of at least some areas in the northeast of the country in order to keep US military forces (illegally) present in Syria, keep control of the oil fields east of the Euphrates River and continue to destabilize and subvert the liberated regions of Syria,” the military analyst said.
“The problem with the [US] plan is that with the help of the Russians, the Syrians have freed the city of Deir ez-Zor and that their forces have now crossed the Euphrates River. Now it is the American Plan B which looks increasingly threatened,” he added.
That is why the US military has shifted to dubious operations against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Russian military personnel as a last resort, the analyst assumed… … …
Syrian Army units repelled a large-scale Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) attack on the international Deir-Ezzor-Palmyra highway in the Syrian Badia.
According to SANA reporter, groups of ISIS terrorists launched over the past hours a fierce assault against points of the army units protecting the international highway in al-Shoula and Kabajib area.
Covered by military warplanes and helicopters, the army units and the allied and supporting forces confronted the attack, leaving deaths and losses in the terrorists’ ranks, the reporter said, adding that the army units are now working on clearing the area of the fleeing ISIS terrorists to fully secure the highway.
In the meantime, fierce clashes erupted between the army units, backed by the Air Force, and ISIS terrorists in Huweijet Saqr and on the axis of Khsham and Hatla Fouqani, while the army’s Artillery targeted movements and hideouts of ISIS in Hatla and the neighborhoods of al-Rushdiyeh, al-Huweiqeh, al-Ardi, Knamat and Khsarat.
Many terrorists were killed, others were injured and several of their vehicles and hideouts were destroyed as a result of the clashes.

In the first few days of their work in Deir Ezzor, the Russian sappers managed to disable more than 1,500 IEDs, inspected 8 kilometers of roads, 8 buildings and about 3 hectares of land in the area.
Russian sappers along with their counterparts from the Syrian Arab Army started the demining of public facilities in Deir Ezzor city, east of Syria. Most of the city was liberated and the siege by ISIS was lifted by the SAA and allies with assistance from the Russian forces.
More than 15 square kilometers, 150 million square meters, will be scanned and de-mined in the city. ISIS terrorists with their US sponsors were busy not only making life near impossible to the besieged civilians in the city but also to make the city impossible to live in long after they leave.
Russian sappers along with their counterparts from the Syrian Arab Army engineering units have worked hand in hand to clean the entire liberated Eastern Aleppo districts from mines and IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) planted by the FSA, al-Nusra and other mercenary-terrorist gangs before they left. Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that since the beginning of the terrorist war imposed on Syria, the Syrian Government has been keen on delivering aid to those who deserve it in cooperation with the UN and the affiliated agencies.
Speaking at a session of the UN Security Council on the humanitarian situation in Syria, al-Jaafari said:
“comparing the briefings presented by some representatives with other ones show that some of the representatives know what is taking place in Syria and they are following up the development of the situation there while others are depending mainly on sayings, allegations and intelligence and media disputes which give the impression that what is taking place in Syria isn’t related to combating terrorism and that there is a humanitarian crisis in Syria caused by the Syrian Government”.
He added that the Syrian Government, since the beginning of the terrorist war imposed against it, has been keen on delivering aid to those who deserve it in cooperation with the UN and the affiliated agencies based on the principles which organize the humanitarian work, indicating that Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lowcock committed a mistake today when he didn’t speak about the cooperation with the Syrian Government,
“as if OCHA is dealing with ghosts in Syria and not with the an existing government.”
Al-Jaafari affirmed that it is the time to acknowledge that the main reason behind the crisis is the emergence and spread of the terrorist organizations, on top ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and the affiliated groups, in addition to imposing coercive unilateral sanctions on the Syrian people in a way that made their life difficult and increased their suffering on the economic, social, humanitarian and health levels… … …
Under international law, the responsibility to protect civilians from the use of US military force belongs to the US, says Robert Naiman of Just Foreign Policy. It’s shameful that America tries to deflect its duty to another party, he added.
A Syrian Arab Army Report to Russia Today Reporters.
A furious assault on Daesh (Islamic State, IS, ISIS/ISIL) positions in Deir ez-Zor province and the regional capital by Syrian government forces continues, as Damascus hopes to clear the remaining pockets of terrorists from the city within days.
After the siege of Deir ez-Zor province was breached during the first week of September, the Syrian army supported by the Russian Air Force have encountered stubborn IS resistance in the surrounding neighborhoods of the city.
“Every day there is combat. They’ll use heavy weapons from range, or they’ll try to infiltrate in the middle of the night. They attack with suicide vests and car bombs. The battle goes on everyday,”Syrian Army officer, Ibrahim, told RT’s Murad Gazdiev shortly before he and his crew came under heavy shelling from ISIS positions.
The RT crew also came under fire while reporting from Syrian artillery position overlooking the industrial part of Deir ez-Zor, the same spot where a Russian lieutenant-general, Valery Asapov, was fatally wounded by an exploding shell in a sudden mortar attack by IS terrorists.
Terrorists are throwing everything they have in a desperate attempt to hold their positions, using the Euphrates River to replenish their numbers and supplies. On Wednesday, the army targeted ISIS fighters in the Hweijet al-Saker area, the neighborhoods of al-Hweiqa, al-Arddi, Khassarat and Kanamat as well as al-Husseinia village to the northeast of the city, SANA reported.
“The city of Deir ez-Zor will be liberated in a week, at the most. And we’ll free some of the suburbs too. The cost will undoubtedly be high… it’s a challenging battleground. From dense urban areas – to lush river banks and even trenches,” Ibrahim noted… … …

The Russian Ministry of Defence published aerial photos made during a period from September 8 to 12, which confirms the interaction of the US with ISIS terrorists. In the north of the Deir ez-Zor province, the US special forces ensure unobstructed passage of the SDF detachments under their control through ISIS units. The move is along the eastern bank of the Euphrates towards Deir ez-Zor. Just in the areas controlled by ISIS terrorists, we see many Hummer armored cars of US special forces. And it is interesting that all this is inside the strongholds of ISIS terrorists, and around there are no signs of an assault, no craters bombs, no damaged equipment. Moreover, Americans feel themselves so calm and safe there that they did not even put up any sort of military protection around them. In the meantime, the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces controlled by the US, hinder the movement of government troops along the Euphrates’ eastern bank to the Iraq border. They simply shoot at the Syrian army, using mortars and rocket launchers.
