Member of Belgium’s Parliament Filip Dewinter: “The difference between terrorist organizations and what Western countries call moderate opposition is similar to the difference between plague and cholera… … … Syria’s standing in the face of terrorism is a necessity for the safety of Belgium and Europe in general”.

He said he will work along with his colleagues on revealing to the public opinion back in Belgium and Europe the reality of the situation in Syria and the scale of the Syrian people’s suffering under the sanctions imposed on them by Western sides.

The relations between Syria and European countries were discussed during the talks, which also highlighted the involvement of some Arab, regional and Western countries in backing terrorism.

Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham met on Tuesday a Belgian parliamentary delegation headed by member of the Flemish Parliament Filip Dewinter.

Dewinter said that President Bashar al-Assad is an ally, not an enemy, because he fights terrorism and extremism, adding “we realize that if Syria falls, Jordan and Lebanon and the Maghreb countries near Europe will fall, as terrorism will reach them too.”

“We are fully aware that Turkey provides all possible facilitations to western terrorists and militants, and any future talks with the Turkish government must be suspended until it changes its policies and stops its support for the terrorist organization ISIS,” he said.

“Those sanctions are dictatorial acts and hard violence against the Syrian people because they have affected the human and health domains”, Dewinter said during a meeting with Health Minister Nizar Yazigi

The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic and the opposition figures resumed meetings.

The first round of consultative meeting between the delegation of the Syrian government and that of the opposition started in the Russian capital Moscow on Wednesday 28/1/2015.

The Syrian government’s delegation requested observing a moment of silence in honor of the souls of Syria’s martyrs, both military members and civilians.

“Our consultative meeting should be a serious platform to reflect the goal of the meeting, which comes amid a lot of suffering, losses and challenges facing our dear homeland,” said al-Jaafari.

Au contraire, ces pays ont commencé à reconnaitre leur erreur stratégique, à la lumière du revirement dans l’attitude politique à l’égard de la guerre contre la Syrie. En effet, la reprise des relations diplomatiques entre certains pays et Damas, est survenue lorsque les pays en question ont bien réalisé que le combat contre l’Etat syrien sera vain.
