This news conference was part of a trilateral meeting of Vladimir Putin, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Putin and Rouhani appear in the video.

America has been trying to isolate and weaken Iran, which has both considerable oil reserves and a catbird seat on the shores of the oil-rich Caspian Sea.

America has backed wars in the region, invaded neighbours, and tried to undermine support for Russia in the Middle East because it wants permanent influence there. Obama, in his negotiations about Iran’s use of nuclear power, may have been trying to keep some communications open, but Mr Trump has breached all democracy by openly threatening Iran. Iran (now that Syria has been crippled) is the leading technological and socially progressive power in the region, bitterly resented by Saudi Arabia and Israel. Now, apparently ironically, but actually quite naturally, Russia has resealed and expanded its friendship with Iran. In so doing, it has made Iran much more secure.

How will the United States, NATO and the EU respond to this?

Le 14 mars courant, Donald Trump recevait le vice-prince héritier saoudien Mohamad ben Salmane à Washington. Le lendemain Damas était frappée par deux attentats terroristes extrêmement meurtriers à moins de deux heures d’intervalle, l’un en son palais de justice à une heure de grande affluence, l’autre dans un restaurant populaire très fréquenté dans l’ouest de la ville. Inutile de nous interroger, une fois de plus, sur l’émotion débordante d’indifférence des médias humanitaires occidentaux.

Au même moment se tenait la troisième session des pourparlers d’Astana, boycottée par les chefs des factions armées de ladite opposition syrienne modérée, présents lors des deux sessions précédentes et dont le garant est la Turquie selon l’accord tripartite conclu entre la Russie, l’Iran et la Turquie, lequel accord a abouti au plan de cessation des hostilités entré en vigueur le 29 décembre 2016 à minuit et adopté à l’unanimité par le Conseil de Sécurité sous la résolution 2336 du 31 décembre 2016.

Le 16 mars 2017, M. Nasser kandil commentait ces événements par une brève prémonitoire. [NdT] :

La coïncidence de la visite de Mohamad ben Salmane à Washington avec les déflagrations meurtrières à Damas, la tenue des pourparlers d’Astana 3 en l’absence des chefs des factions militaires et les déclarations russes parlant de parties étrangères les influençant parce qu’elles ne veulent pas régler la crise syrienne, n’est pas fortuite.

Le ressentiment saoudien devant la monopolisation des groupes armés par le gouvernement turc d’Erdogan, l’Arabie saoudite étant reléguée au rôle de financier et de conseiller, s’ajoute au fait que la Turquie n’est plus intéressante comme alliée depuis le désaccord américano-turc sur la guerre en Syrie et son exploitation de toutes les cartes, à son seul profit, dans le but de se débarrasser des Kurdes, au point d’oser conclure un accord tripartite avec Moscou et Téhéran.

En revanche, pour Riyad, l’alliance avec Israël présente l’avantage de proposer à Washington la séparation de la guerre entre le sud et le nord de la Syrie, étant donné que la priorité de cibler l’Axe de la Résistance et l’Armée syrienne, à la fois, répond à la volonté de Donald Trump d’« interdire toute influence iranienne » dans la région….. ……… …………

Deputy Chief Liaison of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force General Ali Arasteh said Tehran has documents that show the delivery of 75 vehicles loaded with weaponry to the ISIL terrorist group.

General Arasteh said on Wednesday some governments claim to be fighting ISIL, but at the same time supply the terrorist group with “37 vehicles and 38 trailers loaded with weapons and military equipment.”

“We have the images and the documents to substantiate and we will make them public in due time,” he added.

“We have received reports that the US planes visit the ISIL(-controlled) airports,” Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said.

“The US shouldn’t supply weapons and money to ISIL and then apologizes and says that it has done a mistake”, he added.

6000 “Al sabereen Unit” of the “Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps” in Aleppo

Iran is sending more Special Forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Syria.

Military planes are landing in Damascus and Aleppo airports respectively carrying 6000 officers and soldiers of the “Sabereen Unit” to support the on-going ground offensive in reef of Syria.

The Lebanese Hezbollah is also injecting fresh forces to the same area where also the Syrian Kurds are advancing against Salafist Jihadist led by al-Qaeda in Syria, also known as Jabhat al-Nusra, and their allies.

Iran and Russia are determined to change the map of Syria to the advantage of Damascus before the end of this coming summer.

Cities are surrendering without fight like Dayr Jamal, and others, like Tal-Refaat, are negotiating an exit to rebels to avoid the destruction of their city.

The IRGC Sabereen unit operating in large Aleppo outskirts (North, South, West and East reef) was established more than ten years ago in Iran and were selected as a Special Elite Forces.

These are trained to participate to warfare combat, to penetrate deep into and behind enemy lines and above all to fight Jihadists.

These are the spearhead against al-Qaeda in Northern and western reef Aleppo and Eastern reef against the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS) group.

(By Elijah J. Magnier) ~ A high-ranking officer within the joint operations room in Damascus, which includes Russia, Iran and Syria and Hezbollah said, “ there are three possible scenarios in Syria:

1) – The first is the Arab ground troops would enter Syria from the Turkish borders, in the area under the so-called “Islamic State” group (ISIS) on the long bordering front from Jarablus to Al-Ra’ee. This can be possible and quickly achievable if a kind of an agreement is reached between Turkey and ISIS. After all, the Jihadist group has to face either the Turkish-Arab forces – that could allow a possible exit – or the Russian-Iranian-Hezbollah forces where there will be no exit”.

2) – The second scenario is through the Jordanian borders East of Syria up to Raqqa. A longer road but would allow Saudi Arabia to bring its logistic and armoured support to push all the way to the ISIS-controlled land. In both scenarios, these troops, Arabs or Turkish-Arabs, would not clash or contact or even walk into the Russia-Damascus and allies military operational stage.

3) – The third scenario is that the Saudi are boosting the moral of the Jihadist by advertising a possible intervention so these don’t surrender easily and hold the ground for as long as possible”.

Time is crucial and Saudi Arabia will continue its military support to the opposition, waiting for a new U.S. to be elected.

Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri has issued a warning to countries seeking to tailor the situation in Syria in accordance with their political ambitions.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey have said they could dispatch ground troops to Syria.

Such a deployment would come on top of Saudi Arabia’s widely-reported ideological and financial patronage for the Takfiri militants tyrannizing Syria and Turkey’s provision of a supply route for these mercenaries.

In response to the question of whether there was a potential for direct military confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Syria in case Riyadh does deploy ground forces to the crisis-hit country, Jazayeri said:

“We will definitely not let the situation in Syria proceed in line with trouble-making states’ wish to enforce their policies. We will make necessary decisions in the due time.”

“Via which place do these terrorists travel to and from Syria other than Turkey? From where do they receive support other than reactionary Arab countries?” Jazayeri asked.

“From my point of view, there is a political solution to Syria’s crisis; but hegemonic powers are not after a balanced and just political solution,” Jazayeri said.

A senior Iranian official revealed that the country’s intelligence agents have found a way into the spy agencies of those countries that have taken a hard line on the Islamic Republic.

“We have infiltrated the enemy’s spy agencies,” Chief of the Supreme Leader’s Office for Ideological and Political Affairs Hojjatoleslam Gholamreza Safayee said

Safayee did not disclose any further details, citing the secret nature of the operation.

Yet, he said that the capture of the executed ringleader of Jundollah terrorist group four years ago was the result of the same inside job in the secret services of the enemies.
