It’s been months since the Mosul operation began, and – unlike in the coverage of the liberation of Aleppo – Western media have lauded it. But RT journalists have been on the ground in Mosul and discovered more to the story: civilian deaths and damage caused by the U.S.-led coalition’s airstrikes.
“It was hell for us, and when the Iraqi army came we celebrated. Our district was completely destroyed. Suicide bombers, rockets, jets bombed us all the time. Civilians are still buried under wreckage”, an elderly woman said.
“Very often the jets would miss. Seven entire families near us were killed this way. Perhaps their weapons were faulty, as they regularly went off-target”, a young female refugee in burka said.

“les États-Unis formeraient un groupe d’élite composé de militaires irakiens” dans le strict objectif de “liquider les hauts commandants des Hachd al-Chaabi”.
“Il s’agirait d’un groupe de 400 militaires, parmi les plus expérimentés. Mais au sein de ce groupe, les Américains auraient choisi une brigade et l’ont baptisée Les Tigres”.
Cette brigade aurait pour mission d’éliminer les chefs militaires de la Force de mobilisation populaire, composée de plusieurs entités dont l’armée de Badr, Kataeb al Hezbollah, Mouvement d’al-Nujba, entre autres.
L’information apprend aussi que ce serait un groupe d’officiers de renseignement américain qui est en charge de la formation de ces “tueurs”……………………….

The operation to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from the Daesh terror group appears to have enabled thousands of Islamist fighters to flood toward central Syria, Russian analyst Sergei Demidenko told RIA Novosti.
On Sunday Russia’s Center for Syrian reconciliation reported that the Daesh terror group was making plans to transfer up to 5,000 fighters from Mosul to the regions of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa in Syria.
In early October a military source told RIA Novosti that the US had agreed with Saudi Arabia to provide Daesh militants a safe passage from Mosul, if they were prepared to flee the city without a fight.
The source said that Washington and Riyadh’s plan envisages enabling the terrorists to attack towns in central and eastern Syria under the control of government forces.
“Over 9,000 Daesh militants will be transferred from Mosul to the Eastern regions of Syria for a subsequent major offensive, which intends to capture Deir ez-Zor and Palmyra,” the source told the agency at the time.
The Center for Syrian Reconciliation said that Sunday more than 4,000 Daesh militants had regrouped for the assault to retake Palmyra, as the terrorists made a concerted effort to engineer a propaganda victory and morale boost after recent defeats to Syrian government forces, backed by Russia.

The U.S. warplanes launched airstrikes on Iraqi army troops in the city of Mosul in Nineveh province again, killing tens of government soldiers and injuring many others, informed military sources disclosed.
“Several Iraqi army’s military vehicles, including 8 BMP and 4 Humvee vehicles were destroyed in addition to leaving at least 90 soldiers dead and over 100 others injured in the US airstrikes which took place in al-Moshrefeh town on Friday,” an informed source in the Iraqi army said.
The US airstrikes also resulted in the withdrawal of the Iraqi forces from some newly-liberated districts in Mosul city and a number of Iraqi troops were also captured as a result of the US air raids.
The US warplanes had struck the village of al-Rahyat on November 29 and al-Saheliyeh region on November 21 which resulted in the death and injury of tens of Iraqi army troops and inflicted heavy on Iraq’s infrastructures.
In mid-October, Deputy Chief of the Nineveh Provincial Council Noureddin Qablan announced that the US-led coalition warplanes have launched airstrikes on an army base in Nineveh province, killing several soldiers…>>>…>>>…

What is underway in the Iraqi city of Mosul is far, and I do mean light-years-type far, from black and white. And the overwhelming majority of geopolitical analysts and commentators on both sides of the divide, mainstream and alternative, are getting it so miserably wrong that it would be comedic if it wasn’t so detrimental to the “Resistance Vs. Hegemony” narrative that all of us dedicate our lives to upholding. On the one hand, American exceptionalist warmongers are elated with delusional glee over US warplanes “paving the way” for Iraqi forces and falsely claiming something to the effect of not even a single bullet could have been fired without American approval. They’re also despicably framing the Mosul battle in obscene sectarian terms that reek of baselessness and Zionism.
Then on the other hand, “Anti-Imperialists” are brushing off all the Iraqi participants in the fight for Mosul as nothing but mere Amreeki pawns for an elaborate ruse to move terrorists into Syria, not to mention that the fight for Mosul itself is nothing but some grandiose manifestation of Amreeki political theater to give Obama and Zio-Killary a “win” for the upcoming US presidential election. And of course, the role of ‘Israel’, which lurks in the background of every Arab military arena from Iraq to Syria to Yemen, has also been entirely left out of the discussion– a reflection of woeful ignorance and/or ulterior motives on the parts of the aforementioned observers. So let’s navigate through the murky, maddening maze that is the Mosul operation and find some much-needed clarity on all fronts.
First and foremost, the decision to move on Mosul was Iraqi, not American. Period….
…Moreover, we are barely a week into the fight for Mosul and the Iraqi army is already complaining of US warplanes horribly delaying air strikes when they’re called in. This bizarre lack of support has forced Iraqi soldiers to change their tactics to something between conventional and guerrilla warfare in mid-advance and has also led to unnecessary–or perhaps, in the eyes of the murderous US ZOG, not so unnecessary–casualties. It has in fact been the rather inexperienced Iraqi Air Force that is doing the bulk of the damage to the key positions of ISIS and “paving the way” for our men to advance. And advance they have! Over 74 towns and villages have been liberated and more than 772 ISIS terrorists have been obliterated since the Mosul operation began. In other words, the Iraqi military is progressing IN DEFIANCE of America, not BECAUSE of America…>>>…>>>…

More than 60 civilians were killed and 200 injured in the US-led coalition airstrikes on residential areas of Mosul in the past three days, according to Russia’s Defence Ministry briefing given on Tuesday 25/10/2016.
According to the Russian military, among the civilian objects hit by US-led coalition airstrikes was a school for girls in southern Mosul, which was attacked last Friday.
General Staff, Russian Armed Forces (Russian): “We are closely watching the situation around Mosul. So far, we see no major success in the coalition’s operation to liberate this city from Islamic State terrorists. At the same time there are numerous facts of the US-led coalition’s air strikes against residential quarters, schools and other civil infrastructure buildings both in Mosul and in other settlements in the Iraq’s Nineveh governorate. During the past three days more than 60 civilians, including children, became victims of these air strikes. More than 200 people were wounded”.
Lieutenant-General Sergei Rudskoi (Russian): “A United States Air Force plane delivered an airstrike on the Al-Hajj Yunus school for girls in southern Mosul on October 21. On the following day, air strikes hit living quarters in the settlements of Qaraqosh 20 kilometers east of Mosul and Hazna 15 kilometers east of Mosul”.
Lieutenant-General Sergei Rudskoi (Russian): “In addition, the ISIS militants continue to flee from the territory in Iraq to Syria. According to information we have, about 300 militants have already arrived in the city of Deir ez-Zor from Mosul. We really have entered a macabre twilight zone when US-led warplanes are massacring civilians in several countries – and yet Washington and its allies condemn others for war crimes.
Of course, governments that act criminally cannot be expected to be honest
But what about nominally independent organizations like the United Nations and Western media? The collective deception is damning of systematic complicity.
What makes it more disturbing is that if criminality can be so capriciously covered-up by institutions that are relied upon for law and accountability then the world really is in a dangerous, dark place.
The latest atrocity involved US coalition aircraft reportedly killing 15 women and injuring 50 others when they hit a funeral procession near the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Friday.
Shamefully, the Western news media, which have been blaring allegations of war crimes against Russia over its military operations in Syria, were largely silent on the massacre near Kirkuk.
Only days before that barbarity, there were several other mass atrocities committed by American allies elsewhere in the Middle East.
In Syria, two F-16 fighter jets belonging to NATO member Belgium killed six civilians in the village of Hassadjek, near Aleppo.
Within hours of that murderous assault, warplanes from Turkey, another NATO member, were responsible for killing some 150 Syrian civilians in multiple air raids also in Aleppo countryside, according to Syrian state media.
Meanwhile, in Yemen, the US-backed Saudi air bombardment continued its slaughter of innocents despite cynically declaring a non-entity ceasefire earlier in the week. Three farmers were killed in Saudi air strikes in Saada province – almost a week after American and Saudi warplanes massacred 140 people attending a funeral ceremony in the capital Sanaa. In press statements on Tuesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that the Russian air force and the Syrian air force have completely ceased any flights over Aleppo in the last seven days.
On Monday, 48 women and children were able to get out of the eastern neighborhoods of the city and they reached the positions of the Syrian Army, in the freed western-neighborhoods of the Aleppo’s Governorate, which has provided all the needs for their residence and the required aid services.
But the NATO-backed jihadists, gangs of mercenary-terrorists, are always bombarding with rockets Aleppo, resulting in deaths-injuries among the population.
Three people have been killed, including a seven-year-old girl, and 28 more injured after terrorists shelled residential areas of government-held West Aleppo.
At the same time, the US-led coalition has recently pushed ahead with its assault on the Iraqi city of Mosul, with its population of 1.5 million people, while Russia at the same time has been assisting the Syrian army in fighting militants in Aleppo, a city of 2 million people.
But when US officials comment on battling Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Iraq and the Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra and its allies in Aleppo, one is a sensible anti-terrorist operation, while the liberation of the other should immediately stop…>>>…

The General Command of the Syrian Arab Army and Syrian Armed Forces dismissed the Turkish military forces’ recent attacks in Aleppo as a “serious escalation” and a gross violation of Syria’s sovereignty.
In a statement on Saturday, the General Command said the victories which the Syrian Arab Army and its allies are achieving in the war against terrorism, especially in Aleppo, have broken Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s illusions and smashed his plots in Syria and the region and prompted him to escalate his aggression on Syria.
The statement referred to the targeting of villages and towns in northern Aleppo by Turkey’s air force and its army units’ transgression into Syrian territory, along with providing direct military support, using artillery and tanks, to the terrorist organizations to continue committing crimes against civilians in northern Aleppo.
The statement said Erdogan’s regime is playing a “dirty” role having provided shelter, training, weapons and funds to the armed terrorist groups and opened Turkey’s border to facilitate the flow of thousands of mercenary terrorists into Syria since the beginning of the war.
The Army’s General Command affirmed in its statement that any presence of the Turkish army units across the border into Syria, under whatever excuses, is rejected and condemned and will be considered an “occupation force” and confronted with all the means available.
It also held the Turkish leadership fully responsible for the “dangerous consequences” that might result from its acts on the security and stability of the region.
Turkish tanks and vehicles penetrated earlier today into the northern countryside of Aleppo, over two days after Turkish warplanes committed a massacre of killing more than 150 civilians in attacks on the villages and towns of Hasadjek, al-Wardiyeh, Hassieh, Ghoul Sorouj, Sad al-Shahba, Ihres and Um Hawsh in the same countryside of Aleppo.
On September 28, the Turkish forces transformed a school building in Jarabulus city into a hospital and hoisted the Turkish flag above it in another violation of the Syrian sovereignty.
While falsely claiming to be fighting ISIS terrorist organization through these actions, the Turkish military forces aim at helping other terrorist organizations linked to the Turkish regime to replace ISIS in those areas…>>>…

Over 30 ISIS terrorists were killed in air strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Arab Air Force in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor on October 18.
The air power supported the Syrian army’s operations against ISIS in the area of the Deir Ezzor airbase.
Syrian troops also attacked ISIS units near the Panorama checkpoint. Air strikes on ISIS targets were also reported in the areas of al-Huweijeh al-Sakar, al-Sina’ah, al-Jafreh and al-Mura’yeh. In total, some 45 air strikes were delivered.
The intensification of air raids in eastern Syria came amid reports that ISIS terrorists are massively fleeing from the Iraqi city of Mosul to Syria.
Sources in the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) say The US-led coalition’s warplanes avoid to bomb military convoys of the terrorist group moving from Iraqi to Syria.
Moscow has reportedly responded to this threat, reconstructing the T-4 Military Airport in eastern Homs.
The Russian military had already used the airport as a forward staging post for its helicopter gunships during the operation in Palmyra and the nearby areas. However, the airfield was damaged with ISIS attacks later.

A local source in the Iraqi Nineveh province said wives of the leaders of ISIS terrorist organization have been evacuated from Mosul city and sent to Syria upon orders from the organization’s chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as the Iraqi forces started last Monday an offensive to liberate Mosul from Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS).

The imminent fight over Mosul might be the reason why John Kerry dialed down his hypocritical howling over east-Aleppo in Syria which is under attack from Syrian and Russian forces.
The attack on Mosul proceeds on three axes. From the north Kurdish Peshmerga under U.S. special force advisors lead the fighting. Iraqi forces attack from the east and south. The way to the west, towards Syria, is open. The intend of the U.S. is to let ISIS fighters, several thousand of them, flee to Deir Ezzor and Raqqa in Syria. They are needed there to further destroy the Syrian state.
The “mistake” of the U.S. bombing of Syrian army positions in Deir Ezzor was in support of that plan.
The Turks are openly talking about such an escape plan for ISIS in Mosul. The Turkish news agency Anadolu published this “sensitive” operations plan. Point 4 says: “An escape corridor into Syria will be left for Daesh so they can vacate Mosul”.
The U.S. hopes that the influx of ISIS fighters into Syria will keep the Russians and Iranians trapped in the “quagmire” Obama prescribed and finally destroy the Syrian state.
The only U.S. “hope” for its Syria plans is now the facilitation of another ISIS influx. That and the CIA coordinated actions of its allies. The Saudis Foreign Minister announced that his country will increase weapons flow to its al-Qaeda proxies in Syria. The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said the supporters of international terrorism are trying to secure safe routes and corridors for the ISIS terrorists who are fleeing Iraq’s Mosul to cross into Syria.

Iraq’s Police Chief on Friday declared full liberation of Fallujah after the two-year-long Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS, ) control over the strategic city.
Commander of Iraq’s Federal Police Major General Raed Shaker Judat disclosed that after the liberation of the Fallujah his forces have discovered three different kinds of prisons in the city.
He noted that the first prison was used for torturing and jailing the ordinary people and one of them was used for jailing the ISIL militants.
The Iraqi forces continued their advances to the North of Fallujah after purging terrorists from most of the regions in the city and destroying over 340 of their bomb-laden vehicles used for suicide attacks.
The Iraqi premier also promised that the liberation of Mosul – ISIL’s de facto capital in the country since June 2014 – is very close as it is the Iraqi forces’ “next destination” in their campaign to flush the militants out of the country.

The Turkish government is not acting alone in Syria and Iraq. The corrupt leadership of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Britain, Israel, and the United States are also involved. They have all played direct or indirect roles in the theft of oil too. After the role of Turkey in stealing oil from Syria and Iraq was revealed, the US government began work to mask and conceal the oil smuggling operations.
The US government is fully aware of all the oil smuggling and has deliberately pretended not to know. Both the US and Turkey have violated United Nations Security Council Resolution 2199 as Vitaly Churkin, the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, pointed out when he told RIA Novosti in an interview that the US and Turkey are legally obliged to give any information they had collected on how ISIL was being financed.
Holding a press conference on December 2 out of the National Defense Control Centre in Moscow, Russian military presented detailed evidence showing how Turkey was involved in stealing oil and trading with ISIL through three major smuggling routes. The response from Washington was to whitewash this by saying that the photographs provided by Russia were authentic, but that there was no evidence to show that Turkish checkpoints were being crossed.
While Erdogan’s greed and pettiness have helped fuel the Russo-Turkish tensions, the clash between Turkey and Russia serves Washington’s interests of political and economical destabilization of Eurasia by using its own allies as cannon fodder against its rivals. Mohsen Rezaei, the secretary of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, has even warned that the Middle East has become a powder keg that could ignite a world war.

Turkish officials were involved in illegal transport of oil from Iraq long before the emergence of the so-called Islamic State (ISIL/ISIS/IS/DAESH). Their illegal trade expanded to the Syrian Arab Republic with the intensification of the conflict in Syria. Turkey, however, is not the only player involved in the illegal oil trade in Syria and Iraq. The operations of the Anglo-Turkish company Genel Energy PLC, which works in Iraqi Kurdistan and Malta, illustrates the constellation of financial and energy sector interests involved.
In 2009, Genel Energy’s Turkish predecessor Genel Enerji began exporting oil from Iraqi Kurdistan to the Turkish coast with the opening of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan Pipeline.
The oil that Turkey is selling for the ISIL is being camouflaged with the oil that the Kurdistan Regional Government is illegally selling from Iraq. In fact, the ISIL has been transporting stolen Syrian oil into Iraq’s Ninawa Governorate and then from close proximity to the city of Mosul smuggling the oil into Turkey, where it is sent to Ceyhan for re-export. The Turkish military deployment in the Mosul District and its plans to establish a permanent military base are meant to protect these oil routes and dually maintain the flow of illegally sold Iraqi oil by the Kurdistan Regional Government and to secure the stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil taken by the ISIL.

A few weeks after shooting down a Sukhoi Su-24M tactical bomber jet operating in Syrian airspace, Turkey sent a heavily armed battalion into the Zilkan military base in Iraq. The move can be seen as a compensation for the weakening of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL / ISIS / IS / DAESH) and the ISIL’s oil smuggling infrastructure. It can also be viewed as a Turkish preparation for the aftermath of the future defeat of the ISIL in Iraq.
Amidst the Russo-Turkish row, the Turkish government dispatched a Turkish battalion of twenty-five M-60 Patton tanks to the Mosul District of Iraq’s Ninawa Governorate. The Turkish press even announced that Ankara had declared that it was establishing a permanent military base inside Iraq’s Mosul District. The Iraqi federal government reacted immediately by calling the Turkish move a hostile act that violated international law and Iraqi sovereignty.
At first the Turkish government claimed that the deployment was approved by the Iraqi federal government and military, but this was quickly rejected as untrue in Baghdad by President Mohammed Fouad Masum, Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, and Defence Minister Khaled Al-Obeidi. Not only was the Turkish deployment rejected by the Iraqi government, it was also described as much too big for a training mission and Erdogan was derided as an outright liar by Iraqi authorities and parliamentarians.

Because of the Turkish government’s role in the multi-spectrum US-led war against the Syrian Arab Republic, a war of words has ignited between Ankara and Moscow. Russia, however, is not alone in accusing Turkey of being involved in the theft of Syrian and Iraqi oil. Turkish opposition politicians, Turkish media, and various governments in the Middle East have also raised their voices about the role of Turkish officials in smuggling from the conflict zones in Syria and Iraq.
A Russian Sukhoi Su-24M tactical bomber jet operating in Syrian airspace at the request of Damascus was shot down by two Turkish F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets at 9:30 a.m. Moscow Standard Time (or, according to local time in the war theatre, 8:30 a.m. Eastern European Time) on November 24, 2015. The Kremlin reacted by asking for an explanation and apology. The Russian military quickly summoned the Turkish military attaché in Moscow and called the Su-24M’s downing an unfriendly act by Ankara while Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking from Sochi during a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, described it as a «stab in the back, carried out against us by accomplices of terrorists». Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the Chechen Republic, would later describe the Turkish attack as an assault on the opponents of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL / ISIS/IS / DAESH) by the Turkish government on behalf of the US.
On the day of the Russian jet’s downing, Turkey would immediately call for consultations of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to be held at 4:00 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time. It would get NATO’s backing against Russia. In 2012, however, both the NATO and Turkish positions were the opposite. When a Turkish F-4 Phantom reconnaissance jet was shot down by the Syrians on June 22, the Turkish government and NATO said that such a short-term violation did not merit a military response by the Syrians.
The analysis of the Kremlin quickly concluded that the Turkish attack on the Su-24M was intentional.

On Friday, Turkey sent troops into Iraq. Contrary to what you might have read, there’s really nothing unusual about that.
As you may recall, Turkey’s military entered Iraq back in September in hot pursuit of PKK “terrorists” Ankara claimed had fled over the border.
Araby al-Jadeed, citing an unnamed Kurdish security officials, employees at the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing between Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan, and an official at one of three oil companies that deal in IS-smuggled oil, says that once Islamic State oil “is extracted and loaded, the oil tankers leave Nineveh province and head north to the city of Zakho, 88km north of Mosul…
…but the point is that it seems extraordinarily convenient that just as Russia is making an all-out effort to expose Turkey’s role in financing Islamic State’s lucrative oil operation and also to destroy ISIS oil convoys in Syria, that Ankara would dispatch troops and two dozen tanks to the exact place in Iraq where some reports suggest the heart of ISIS’ Iraqi oil operation lies.

Izadi (Yazidi) women (11) and girls (9), released statements after they escaped from the Daesh’s captivity, in the northern town of Dohuk, in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, in January and February 2015.
In August, 2014, the ISIL (ISIS-DAESH) terrorist gangs took several thousand Izadi civilians into custody in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh, separated the girls and women from their families, and transferred them to different strongholds of the terrorist group in Iraq and neighboring Syria.
DAESH is holding the Izadi captives in multiple locations across northern Iraq, including Mosul, Tal Afar, Tal Banat, Ba’aj, Rambusi, and Sinjar, and in areas it controls in eastern Syria, including Raqqa and Rabi’a.
They had been forced to marry the wahhabi perverts, sold several times, and given as “gifts.” Half of them, including two 12-yer-old girls, said that they had been raped several times by a number of barbarian militants.

Ce mouvement vers l’Est de la Syrie en provenance de l’Irak impliquant les irakiens, les syriens et les iraniens se renforce à la lumière de l’absence quasi totale des Etats Unis sur le front de la lutte contre Daech.

Iraqi Special Forces said they have arrested several ISIL’s foreign military advisors, including American, Israeli and Arab nationals in an operation in Mosul in the Northern parts of the country.
The Iraqi forces said they have retrieved four foreign passports, including those that belonged to American and Israeli nationals and one that belonged to the national of a Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member-state, from ISIL’s military advisors.
The foreign advisors were arrested in a military operation in Tal Abta desert near Mosul city.

Thousands of Iraqi Christians have established their own military group and are training to fight ISIL in the Nineveh Plains of northern Iraq, The Arab Source reported.
Iraq expert Sajad Jiyad: “The Assyrians want their land back and they – as well as the Turkmen and the Yazidis – are sending a message that: ‘We are going to come back and we are not going to leave our villages and towns and our cultures to be destroyed. We want to come back to our homes and, no matter what we face, we’re willing to fight and take that back.’ I think that is a positive message for the entire nation.”
Last year, ISIL captured Iraq’s largest Christian town, Qaraqosh, forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee. The towns of Tal Kayf, Bartella and Karamlesh were also seized by the ‘jihadists’. It is estimated that over 100,000 Christians have been displaced in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region of northern Iraq because of the ISIL advance.
John Michael, a British-Assyrian in Iraq, told the Catholic Herald: “This is our last stand, if this fails then Christianity will be finished in Iraq”.
Before 2003, the number of Christians in Mosul was approximately 60,000 before the US army invaded Iraq in 2003 when the town’s Christian population has started to decrease rapidly.

A report says Israeli businessmen are buying properties belonging to the displaced minorities in the ISIL-held regions in northern Iraq to prepare the ground for accommodation of more than 2,000 people there.
Citing a local source, Fars News Agency reported that estate agencies in Mosul and other cities of the Nineveh province in northern Iraq have began purchasing the houses and lands of Iraqi minorities including Christians and Izadis and Turkmens.

Tens of thousands of Christians have escaped from Syria’s city of Aleppo while many others intend to stand firm against ISIL terrorists, a local official says.
Thousands of Iraqi Christians were forced out of their homes in the city of Mosul following an ultimatum by ISIL terrorists, who ordered Christians to convert, pay a special tax, or leave, or otherwise there would be “nothing for them but the sword.”
