The Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday it is checking on information indicating that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was reportedly killed in a Russia-led airstrike in Syria.

Russian Su-34 aircraft and an Su-35 multirole fighter carried out airstrikes near the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) stronghold of Raqqa in northern Syria on May 28, the ministry said.

The strikes targeted a meeting of high-ranking Islamic State chiefs where al-Baghdadi was reportedly present……………….

Leader of the ISIL terrorist group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has died and members of the Takfiri group in Iraq have already sworn allegiance to Abu Ala Afri as his successor, Arab media reports said on Sunday.

According to two Iraqi news agencies, Alghad Press and Al-Youm Al-Thamen (the 8th Day), as well as sources in the Iraqi city of Mosul, Baghdadi died in an Israeli hospital in the occupied Golan Heights where he had been hospitalized for treatment after sustaining severe injuries during a joint attack of the Iraqi army and popular forces.

The sources added that al-Baghdadi has been declared by his Israeli physicians and surgeons as to be now “clinically dead”.

Unconfirmed reports stated that three men have been arrested by French police in relation to the terrorist attack and the massacre of 12 people, including 4 cartoonists of the Charlie Hebdo Magazine in Paris.

CNN and The Guardian are citing sources as saying the three suspects, three Algerian brothers aged between 18 and 34, were seized after hours of manhunt.

Their ID was leaked to social media, after one reportedly left it in their getaway car, a Citroen C3, which they were forced to abandon after a crash.

The latest tweet on Charlie Hebdo’s account was a cartoon of the so-called “Islamic State” militant group leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and it is believed it is a rael reson for this attack.
