“After reaching a framework deal between Iran and p5+1 in Switzerland on the Iranian nuclear file which guarantees Tehran’s rights in using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, it is natural to welcome such a deal because it will lead to easing tensions in the region,” Mikdad said in an article published on the Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper.
“Time has come for the international efforts to eliminate the Israeli arsenal of weapons of mass destruction,” Mikdad said, adding that what encourages Israel to boost its weapon programs is the stance of some Arab regimes who connive with this entity.
