Tehran, SANA – The 17th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum condemned the deliberate inhumane acts of terrorists in damaging the environment and infrastructure in Syria and Iraq.
In the closing statement of their meeting which was held in Tehran on Sunday with Syria’s participation, the MPs highlighted the link between preserving the environment and development in addition to discussing the steps taken to enhance economic and social development.
The 17th session started on Saturday with the participation of 46 countries, with the aim of discussing regional cooperation to protect the environment and improve development.
The first meeting of the Forum was held in 1993 in Seoul with the participation of 8 countries.
