Tons of Weapons Sent to ISIL in Syria by Turkish Spy Agency

The Turkish government recently arrested 4 prosecutors and a military officer for halting and investigating trucks belonging to MIT (Turkish intelligence) in Adana and Hatay last year.

The arrested Turkish prosecutor, Aziz Takçı, in a defense he made at a court in Adana disclosed that MIT (the Turkish intelligence body) had sent weapons in over 2,000 trucks for the terrorist groups fighting against President Bashar Assad’s government last year.

“These trucks were loaded with weapons such as anti-aircraft rockets, 155-mm cannons and other types of ammunition,” Takçı said.

Prosecutor Takçı revealed the state’s links with ISIL in his defense he made in Adana’s Criminal Court.

He reiterated that the trucks were halted upon an order by Adana governor.

Prosecutor Takçı said that the MIT had also had a role in the bomb explosion in Reyhanlı two years ago in which 52 people died.

Former Adana Chief Public Prosecutor Süleyman Bağrıyanık, former Adana Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Ahmet Karaca, Adana prosecutors Aziz Takçı, Özcan Şişman and former Adana Provincial Gendarmerie Regiment Commander Colonel Özkan Çokay are facing charges of “attempting to topple or incapacitate the Turkish government through the use of force or coercion and obtaining and exposing information regarding the security and political activities of the state”.

The prosecutors were earlier suspended from duty in a government-orchestrated move to hush up scandalous revelations that were leaked by an anonymous social media user.
