Terrorist car bomb kills 13 civilians, injures 50 in Qamishli [Hasaka]

Hasaka, 19/8/2015  – 13 civilians were killed, and 50 injured in a terrorist car bomb explosion near al-Sinaa roundabout in Qamishli city, 80 km north of Hasaka on Wednesday.

A source at Qamishli administration headquarters told SANA that a suicide terrorist detonated a car bomb near al-Sinaa area, killing 13 civilians and injuring 50.

The car bomb was loaded with sand, the source added, stressing that the explosion also left material damage to the public properties.

A source at Qamishli National Hospital said that 50 injured civilians were admitted to the hospital.

Government condemns Qamishli terrorist attack: Desperate act to face army’s achievements

The Cabinet  denounced the terrorist bombing and stated that the terrorist act is a
desperate attempt to undermine the steadfastness of the Syrian people and face the victories of the Syrian Army.

Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi held terrorism-backing countries the responsibility for the crime, calling upon the international bodies to carry out their humanitarian role in pressurizing these countries to stop sponsoring and supporting terrorists.

Al-Halqi stressed that such acts will never dissuade the Syrians from confronting terrorists and eliminating them from all the Syrian soil.


Six civilians killed, 14 injured in terrorist rocket attacks on Lattakia

Lattakia – Six civilians were killed and 14 others were injured in a terrorist rocket attack on Lattakia coastal city on Monday.

A source in the province told SANA’s reporter that terrorists fired rocket shells at a number of residential neighborhoods in Lattakia, claiming the lives of 4 civilians, inflicting wounds of varying severity on 14 others, and damaging houses and cars.

The source said that two civilians were killed and three others were injured in two additional rocket shells that terrorists fired later on the city.

Terrorist organizations positioned in villages and towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia targeted the city last Thursday with two rocket shells, killing two civilians and injuring 13 others.
