Terrorists killed, infiltration attempts thwarted and explosive devices detonation foiled

September 03, 2013 – Provinces, (SANA) – Units of the armed forces killed many terrorists, including non-Syrians, in a series of operations they carried out against terrorist groups’ gatherings in Eastern Ghouta and a number of towns and villages in Damascus Countryside.

An official source told SANA reporter that Nabil Karkar, leader of an armed terrorist group, was identified among several terrorists who were killed in Joubar.

The source said army units clashed with members of armed terrorist groups in Zamalka and Hrimalleh and inflicted heavy losses among their ranks.

An army unit killed a number of terrorists near the Water Establishment in Harasta and seized an RPG launcher they had with them.

A special operation was carried out against a group of terrorists in Allieh farms in Douma area. Many of the terrorists were killed.

In the Eastern Ghouta, units of the armed forces eliminated terrorist groups in the farms of al-Dulbeh, al-Qassimiyeh and al-Zamaniyeh towns. Nidal al-Kwaki, leader of one of the terrorist groups was identified among the dead.

A number of operations were carried out in the towns of al-Husseiniyeh, al-Ziyabiyeh and Hijjeira and resulted in destroying several dens and gathering for terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra and killing many of terrorists.

Terrorists Taha Tibi al-Rubai’I from Iraq and Tawfiq al-Dahamsheh from Jordan were identified among the dead.

An army unit chased down an armed terrorist group who had been terrorizing the locals in al-Kuswa area and left all of its members dead and wounded.

An army unit destroyed weapons and equipment of armed terrorist groups in Daraya, and killed several of their members, while another unit hunted down a terrorist group in al-Hameh.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that terrorist Kmeiran Moussa was killed in the framework of an operation in the eastern mountains in ap-Zabadani area. Many terrorists were also killed in clashes in Bloudan.

Units of the armed forces repelled an attempt by terrorists to attack the locals in al-Rheibeh town and killed a number of them.

Terrorists’ dens were destroyed in Rima farms and Ras al-Ein in Yabroud area. Numbers of terrorists were killed in the operations.

Terrorists’ infiltration attempt from Lebanese territories thwarted, explosive devices detonation foiled

Army units foiled a terrorist group’s infiltration attempt from the Lebanese territories last night, and destroyed a terrorists’ weapon and ammunition cache in Homs countryside.

An official source told SANA that terrorists’ dens and gatherings were destroyed in al-Dar al-Kabira, while an army unit clashed with armed terrorist groups in al-Husen and al-Zara villages in Talkalakh area, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

The source added that an army unit in cooperation with border guards foiled a terrorists’ infiltration attempt from the Lebanese territories through al-Bahlouliyeh site in Talkalakh, killing many terrorists and injuring others while many of them fled back to the Lebanese territories.

Moreover, army units foiled a terrorists’ attempt of detonating five explosives planted on the crossroad of al-Mahin town on the road of Homs-Sadad.

An official source told SANA that the army seized an ammunition warehouse comprising dozens of explosive devices and hand grenades in Palmyra in Homs countryside.

The source added that the warehouse included 18 explosive devices weighing 40 kg each, 12 explosive devices weighing 10-15 kg each, hand grenades, military uniforms and stolen medical tools.

An army unit seized a vehicle loaded with Turkish wheat in al-Sukhna city in Palmyra and arrested the terrorists in the lorry.

The Armed Forces have confiscated many Turkish food materials in terrorists’ hideouts in several provinces in addition to smuggled medical medicine that causes infertility through killing the testosterone hormone.

An official source told SANA that the army destroyed a terrorists’ gathering and a vehicle equipped with a rockets’ launch pad in addition to a vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition in the area of al-Mishrfeh in Homs.

The source added that the army units killed 10 terrorists in al-Rastan, adding that an army unit clashed with terrorist groups in al-Dar al-Kabira and al-Zara in Talkalakh and killed scores of the terrorists.

Meanwhile, a military source said that terrorists’ gatherings and hideouts were destroyed in the areas of Bab Hood, al-Ghouta, al-Warsheh, al-Qusour and al-Qarabis.

The source added that an army unit foiled a terroists’ attempt to infiltrate Bait al-Nabhan and Bait al-Rashed form the area of al-Ghanto and killed and injured all the assailants.

The army also foiled an attempt by terrorists to blow up an explosive device planted in al-Shunia town in the area of al-Houla.

Jabhat al-Nusra dens eliminated in several northern villages in Lattakia

Army units destroyed a weapon and ammunition cache that belongs the terrorist Jabhat al-Nusra in the northern area of Lattakia countryside, killing many terrorists and injuring others.

An official source told SANA that a big number of terrorists were killed, most of them are from Arab nationalities, in al-Toffahiyeh and Beit Oun villages, including the terrorists Abo Hafs from Algeria, Rashid al-Sakarany from Egypt, Shukri al-Shaker and al-Mohajer from Tunisia and the Saudi terrorist Abdul Ghani al-Fayiri.

The source added that an army unit destroyed terrorists’ dens and weapons caches in Salma town, killing all the terrorists inside.

Another army unit killed four terrorists and injured 22 that were fortifying in the Rural Development Center in al-Rabiya town in the coastal province.

Terrorists blow up al- Jbisseh gas pipeline feeding electricity generation plants

An armed terrorist group on Tuesday blew up al-Jbisseh gas pipeline in al-Sfireh area, north Deir Ezzor, as fire was erupted in the site.

Petroleum and Mineral Resources source told SANA that the terrorist attack caused the stopping of al-Jbisseh gas factory which produces 1,5 million cubic meters of clean gas.

The source added that the targeted pipeline feeds the Electricity generation stations in al-Teem and al-Zara, asserting that this will decrease the amounts of gas used as fuel for the gas pumps and lead to the decrease of electricity energy production in the eastern area, in Deir Ezzor and Hasaka.

The Syrian Company of Gas’ maintenance workshop will repair the pipeline soon.

The source added that a fire erupted in Kherbt Sharq 4 well in the fields of Dejla oil company in al-Rmilan area in Hasaka due to terrorist attack targeted the well by the terrorist groups with the aim of stealing its oil.

The well produces about 3000 barrel of crude oil per a day.

The company in coordination with the Syrian General Company for Oil work to extinguish the fire.
