On Friday, Turkey sent troops into Iraq. Contrary to what you might have read, there’s really nothing unusual about that.

As you may recall, Turkey’s military entered Iraq back in September in hot pursuit of PKK “terrorists” Ankara claimed had fled over the border.

Araby al-Jadeed, citing an unnamed Kurdish security officials, employees at the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing between Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan, and an official at one of three oil companies that deal in IS-smuggled oil, says that once Islamic State oil “is extracted and loaded, the oil tankers leave Nineveh province and head north to the city of Zakho, 88km north of Mosul…

…but the point is that it seems extraordinarily convenient that just as Russia is making an all-out effort to expose Turkey’s role in financing Islamic State’s lucrative oil operation and also to destroy ISIS oil convoys in Syria, that Ankara would dispatch troops and two dozen tanks to the exact place in Iraq where some reports suggest the heart of ISIS’ Iraqi oil operation lies.

Russia Insider reports that the ambush on the Russian U-24 bomber was guided by the US Airforce.

In an interview with the Russian news agency Regnum, a Russian military expert said that “A US Air Force Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS plane took off on 24 November from the Preveza airbase in Greece.

A second E-3A of the Saudi Arabian air force took off from the Riyadh airbase.

Both planes were executing a common task—determining the precise location of Russian aircraft. It is they that picked the “victim.”

The American E-3A was supposed to determine the activity of the Su-24M2′s onboard targeting radar, to determine if it was in search mode or if it had already locked on to a target and was processing launch-data. It is known that the AWACS can direct the activity of aircraft in battle, conveying information to their avionics and flight computers.

The expert went on explaining the technical details of how the US and Saudi AF planes guided the Turkish F-16s to a sure missile launch in ‘target illumination’ mode, meaning that the radar was turned off as soon as the missile locket into its target.

Turkey’s leadership, including President Erdogan and his family, is involved in illegal oil trade with Islamic State militants, says the Russian Defense Ministry, stressing that Turkey is the final destination for oil smuggled from Syria and Iraq.

The Russian Defense Ministry held a major briefing on new findings concerning IS funding in Moscow on Wednesday.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, Russia is aware of three main oil smuggling routes to Turkey.

“Today, we are presenting only some of the facts that confirm that a whole team of bandits and Turkish elites stealing oil from their neighbors is operating in the region,” Antonov said, adding that this oil

“in large quantities” enters the territory of Turkey via “live oil pipelines,” consisting of thousands of oil trucks.

Antonov added that Turkey is the main buyer of smuggled oil coming from Iraq and Syria.

“According to our data, the top political leadership of the country – President Erdogan and his family – is involved in this criminal business.”

Russian Intelligence confirms that oil stolen by Daesh moves through Turkey on an industrial scale

Russia has received additional intelligence confirming that oil from deposits controlled by Islamic State is moved through Turkey on an industrial scale, said Vladimir Putin. President Recep Erdogan said he will resign if this is confirmed.

Moscow has grounds to suspect that Turkey shot down a Russian Su-24 on November 24 to secure illegal oil deliveries from Syria to Turkey, Putin said on the sidelines of the climate change summit in Paris on Monday.

“At the moment we have received additional information confirming that that oil from the deposits controlled by Islamic State militants enters Turkish territory on industrial scale,” he said.

“We have every reason to believe that the decision to down our plane was guided by a desire to ensure security of this oil’s delivery routes to ports where they are shipped in tankers,” Putin said.

General Command of the Army and Armed Forces stressed that the Turkish regime is providing terrorists with arms and ammunition in exchange for oil and artifacts robbed from Syria and Iraq at low prices.

The General Command said in statement: “We have certain information that the Turkish government recently increased support for terrorists and the level of supplying them with arms, ammunition and munitions to continue their criminal acts in exchange for oil and antiquities stolen from Syria and Iraq at low prices, taking advantage of the presence of terrorists whom it enabled to control border areas”.

The General Command warned of the threats posed by such actions, calling on the international community to press the Turkish government to force it to stop its overt or covert support for global terrorism.

Un jour après l’attaque contre un avion russe en Syrie, le président turc Recep Tayyip Erdogan poursuit son offensive contre la Russie dans l’espace médiatique: il affirme que l’aviation turque n’était pas au courant de l’appartenance de l’avion et appelle à “ne pas dramatiser la situation”, écrit jeudi le quotidien Interpolit.

Cette pirouette politique d’Erdogan et sa volonté de se protéger sont parfaitement compréhensibles. Hier, en commentant la tragédie, le président russe Vladimir Poutine a ouvertement accusé la Turquie d’implication dans le financement de Daech via l’achat de pétrole illégal auprès de l’organisation.

D’après la presse turque, Bilal Erdogan possède la société de transport maritime BMZ Group qui a des amarrages spéciaux dans les ports de Beyrouth et de Ceyhan, depuis lesquels le pétrole de contrebande est transporté vers les consommateurs japonais.
