Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin said that currently the situation in Lebanon is under control, and that Moscow does not expect military escalation there.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned on November 4 in a declaration read from Saudi Arabia, pushing Lebanon back to the forefront of a regional struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Zasypkin added that in the case of a new military action against Lebanon-based Hezbollah organization, Israel will “suffer substantial casualties”.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia accused Iran of conducting acts of “direct military aggression” and accused Lebanon of “declaring war” on Riyadh by allowing Hezbollah “aggression” against the kingdom.

A warlike rhetoric against Iran, Lebanon and Hezbollah are a clear sign of this. While Iran is a potent regional power in military and diplomatic terms, Hezbollah is a non-state actor. So, Riyadh may choose the group as an enemy for its risky foreign policy undertaking.

Saudi Arabia and Israel are obvious allies in their will to destroy Hezbollah. On November 5, Tel Aviv started the largest-ever aerial exercise in the history of Israel. 

A leaked diplomatic cable confirmed that the Saudis and Israelis are coordinating their efforts against Iran and Hezbollah thus escalating the already tense situation in the Middle East.

A farewell to Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Mr Churkin, for well over a decade, featuring Spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova. Following the Assassination of Andrei Karlov in Turkey earlier this year, was the death of Andrey Melanin in Athens of ‘natural causes’. Ambassador Alexander Kadakin to India had died of an apparent heart attack, even though no previous health issues were known. Together with Vitaly Churkin, this now brings the death total of Russian officials serving in foreign capacity to 4, all within a 3 month period. Coincidence? Or does the CIA have a long arm? This episode features Mr Churkin dispelling allegations of Russia having dropped leaflets over Aleppo, urging civilians to leave the city or face death. Of course, it is only the senile or those with short memories, who would think that “evidence” presented in the UN Security Council, is anything more than fabricated Neocon garbage. REVEALED: CIA killed Russian Ambassadors

This episode is taken off political analyst’s Valeriy Piakin’s channel – his explanation of recent events confirms what many have suspected. In the past few months, an unusual amount of individuals in pro-Russian fields of work have passed away. Starting with Arsen Pavlov (Motorola), a Commander in the Donbass region, followed by Russian Ambassadors to Turkey and India; Mikhail Tolstyh (Givi) – another high ranking Commander in the Donbass, and now – Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vitaly Churkin. Piakin’s explanation posits that all of these individuals were victims of US intelligence operations – but why?

The intention is to remove all individuals who have something to do with the Minsk agreement, so that it can no longer realistically be implemented. The Minsk Agreement (a ceasefire, followed by elections and self-determination in Eastern Ukraine) is counterproductive to the West. To allow Minsk to happen would be to undo all of elites’ hard work to date. This is why ”not fulfilling Minsk obligations” is always pinned on Russia in Western media – despite the fact it is not party to the document, and it is the Kiev junta who shells civilians of Eastern Ukraine.

If Piakin is correct, then everyone who defends Minsk – whether on the battlefield or through the information war – have reason to be concerned for their safety. People like Zakharchenko of the Donbass, and those below him, as well as Russia’s extended diplomatic community should be highly vigilant and ramp up their security against espionage.

Just days after the liberation of Syria’s northern city of Aleppo, Russia’s ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, was gunned down while giving a talk at an art gallery in Turkey’s capital of Ankara.

The gunman, identified as a former Turkish police officer, flashed the familiar one finger gesture used by terrorist organizations operating in neighboring Syria including by Jabhat Al Nusra and the self-proclaimed “Islamic State” – while shouting, according to the Guardian:

Don’t forget Aleppo. Don’t forget Syria. Unless our towns are secure, you won’t enjoy security. Only death can take me from here. Everyone who is involved in this suffering will pay a price.
The attack coincided with an alleged security incident near America’s embassy in Ankara, characterized by the US Embassy as a “shooting,” though it may be in reference to the actual assassination.

Western newspapers, however, including the Daily Mail, the UK Express, and The Sun attempted to portray the announcement as a separate incident. This may be a deliberate attempt to portray the US as a victim in tandem with Russia, to divert suspicion away from US involvement….

UNSC ~ Syria’ Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari said on Wednesday that the continued trafficking in the Syrian blood by representatives of “al-Golani” and ISIS, through the humanitarian file, will not affect Syria, with the support of its allies, to practice its legal duty in combating terrorism and saving the lives of its people in line with principles of the international law and the relevant UNSC resolutions on counterterrorism.

Al-Jaafari added in a speech at UNSC session on the state in the Middle East that liberating more than 80 thousand of children and women in Aleppo was not part of the British and French foreign ministries’ plans or the US Department of State’s which all allege they defend civilians in Aleppo.

He noted that these states’ calls to impose sanctions on Syria and Russia after the liberation of this number of civilians set another evidence on the exploitation of these Syrians by those who sponsor terrorism to protect terrorists and practice the cheap political blackmail.

Al-Jaafari indicated that that once again, representatives of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and other groups affiliated to them, call for holding an urgent UNSC session in an attempt to offer political and moral support to these groups following the great achievements of the Syrian army and its allies.

Syria’s permanent representative referred to the dozens of civilians who tried to flee from the eastern parts of Aleppo city to the safe areas in the western neighborhoods and were killed at the hands of “moderate opposition” terrorists who are backed by the US, Britain and France.

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said that his country vehemently condemns any attempts to protect or support terrorists in Syria under political pretexts, reiterating its rejection of the use of humanitarian pretext to achieve any political objectives.

ZIONIST ENTITY ~ In an attempt to divert attention from the successes achieved by the Syrian Arab army, warplanes of the Israeli enemy launched two rockets on Damascus countryside at dawn on Wednesday, a military source said.

The source added that the Israeli rockets were launched from the Lebanese airspace and fell in al-Sabboura area in the western countryside of Damascus, indicating that no human causalities were reported.

The public sphere is recently actively used to force Anti-Russian rhetoric in the context of the Syrian crisis. There are attempts to diminish Russia’s role and depict our country as the prime cause of all the troubles in Syria. It is speculated that Moscow counts on the military solution of the conflict. The aim of this campaign is simple – to conceal the true culprits of the failure of the CoH (cessation of hostilities) in Syria and disguise the true causes of the non-fulfillment of the Russia-US agreements.

The Russian Federation made a thorough fact-based comparative analysis of implementation of the Russia-US agreements, It includes all aspects such as compliance with and monitoring of CoH, granting of humanitarian access to besieged areas, joint fight against terrorism.

Russia guaranteed the implementation of the CoH by the Syrian government. The US on the other hand were not capable to insure the implementation of the CoH by the armed groups. From February to September the opposition groups that are supposed to be under the US control committed 2,031 violations of the CoH, which claimed lives of 3,532 military personnel and 12,800 civilians.
Furthermore, the US failed to fulfill their February promise to separate Al- Nusra Front from “moderate” opposition. Russia on the other hand since March has been prepared to transfer to Washington the maps showing the zones where according to our data the terrorists are holding territory.

In the list of groups that confirmed their commitment to the CoH presented by Washington 2 belong to ISIS and 8 to the Al-Nusra Front. The American list is discredited by the inclusion of cutthroats from Ahrar al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zenki. Russia will no longer agree to any unilateral steps in Syria, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, stated.

Speaking at the UN Security Council session on Syria, the Russian representative noted that, during discussions on the Syria ceasefire agreement, the demand was made that Damascus unilaterally cease all air force flights as a precondition for a ceasefire.

“First they said three days. We agreed. Then they said: ‘No, the US president has changed his mind, now it has to be 7 days,” Churkin said.

France, the United States and Britain have rejected the text of a Russian-drafted UN resolution aimed at putting an end to Turkey’s military actions and provocations in Syria.

French Ambassador to the UN Francois Delattre claimed Moscow’s backing of Syrian forces had led to a dangerous escalation in the war.

Meanwhile, US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power said the draft would distract the world, adding Moscow should instead focus on implementing a UN resolution passed in December that endorsed an international road map for a Syria peace process.

Turkey has called for a joint ground operation in Syria, insisting it is the only way to stop the country’s five-year war.

This as the country stands accused of fuelling the war by supporting terrorist groups like Daesh and Nusra Front.

According with REUTERS statements, the U.S. Army Colonel Steve Warren said that ‘moderate terrorists’ killing Syrian people are paid hundreds of extra-dollars each per month [in addition to those taken by al Saud-Qatar-Turkey], depending on their skills, performance and leadership position.

According to the Pentagon, Syrian “rebels” being trained and “vetted” by the United States are receiving “compensation” to the tune of anywhere between $250 to $400 per month to act as America’s proxy forces in the Middle East. Agreement between the US and Turkey to train and arm terrorists of the so-called “moderate opposition” means the failure of a plan set by the UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura.

“The reality which became crystal clear is that the US politicians are the ones who protect the terrorist criminal organizations, and the most important evidence on this fact is the cosmetic war of the US coalition on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization which is carried on beyond the international legitimacy and the UN Security Council’s relevant resolutions,” Mikdad added.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the foreign interference in the affairs the Middle East countries and the nonchalance about the future of their people have caused extremism and terrorism to spread: “Washington ignores the Syrian Army which is the true force combating terrorism”.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry said that this agreement entails training Syrian armed units belonging to “moderate opposition” in Turkey as part of a program with a budget of USD 500 million launched by the U.S. which entails training 5,000 opposition fighters per year by 400 professional U.S. trainers in Turkey, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

Iranian Defense Minister: “Syrian Army, people reached stage of deterrence against terrorism”. Israel is unable to take any move against the resistance in the region.

“Takfiri terrorist organizations are practicing their aggression in the region on behalf of the Zionist entity,” Dehghan said in a statement.

The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic and the opposition figures resumed meetings.

The first round of consultative meeting between the delegation of the Syrian government and that of the opposition started in the Russian capital Moscow on Wednesday 28/1/2015.

The Syrian government’s delegation requested observing a moment of silence in honor of the souls of Syria’s martyrs, both military members and civilians.

“Our consultative meeting should be a serious platform to reflect the goal of the meeting, which comes amid a lot of suffering, losses and challenges facing our dear homeland,” said al-Jaafari.
